We had a lovely stay in “Mayberry”. The apartment was exceptionally clean, and we are particular. The beds were clean, plush, and comfortable. Linens were all fresh. Very thoughtfully supplied. Downtown is just right around the corner.

This little apartment did not disappoint. We were pleased to find the place very clean, beds were comfortable, the unique decor is great, and everything was just as listed. My Fella and I stayed for a few nights just to get away and relax. This rental is so very cute with interesting, colorful decor and turquoise cabinets! And it is just a few blocks from most of the town. We walked almost everywhere during our visit and it was great! Clean, quiet, and so enjoyable!

The first thing I do when I stay at a vacation rental is wipe down every surface with disinfectant wipes (I know, I’m crazy). Most of the time, the wipes are dirty. But not here! Every surface was clean! The bathroom was also very clean, which is so important to me. The apartment is not a hodge podge, it’s carefully curated down to the art and well thought out furniture pieces. The Murphy bed was brilliant! Speaking of beds, they were SO comfy. Another rarity for a vacation rental. Thank you Doug and Carol for the wonderful stay! We hope to visit again soon.

My parents and niece had another great stay at the Mayberry Suite. Staying here is starting to become an annual event for my parents and they look forward to returning to this property every year. The unit is within walking distance to all the great downtown shops and restaurants in Mt. Airy. They love the outdoor patio area for coffee in the mornings and relaxing in the evenings. Easy check in and check out process and Doug (the owner) and his family are really great. The Mayberry Suite has everything you need. Hope to be back soon.

Another Great Stay at The Mayberry Suite
I rented the Mayberry Suite for my parents so they could have a short getaway for their 49th wedding anniversary. They have stayed at this unit a few times over the last few years and really love the suite and especially Mt. Airy in general. As a family, we have also rented this unit and the Main Suite (in the same building as Mayberry Suite) at the same time over the past few years. This unit is very well equipped and convenient to everything in the area. Doug makes the check-in and check-out process very easy and is very responsive. My parents enjoy being able to have coffee in the mornings under the covered deck and being able to walk a block or two from this unit to lots of local restaurants and shops in the main area of Mt. Airy. Highly recommended! My parents (and myself) look forward to returning to the area and staying here again soon.

I booked this for 2 young couples (son, friend, and their wives). It's a beautifully decorated apartment with comfortable beds and furniture. Everything the needed was there. The patio and nice furniture adds to the space. This was the best location as everything in down town Mount Airy was within walking distance. I can’t say enough great things about this stay. The location was perfect, right on Main St, and so walkable. This was the cleanest place I have stayed in the last year of many stays in owner managed rentals. There wasn’t a single thing that I saw that made me question cleanliness, and I’m pretty particular about those type of things. The only less than perfect thing was that you hear every footstep of those above you, but that’s to be expected in a place like this. Hoping to find another excuse to come back and stay again.
