Johan was an awesome host. He made proper arrangements ahead of time to meet us at the property. He showed us around, explained how the alarm works, had breakfast ingredients like bread and milk etc in the kitchen. The place has a fireplace and provides a warm, cosy and homely environment. It was the perfect place for a wet, wintery weekend away. There is a huge pool and outside deck which looks perfect for the summer. We will definitely stay there again.

Great location, lots of character, spacious kitchen with good facilities, great swimming pool, garden and outdoor area, gas braai worked well, two good functional fireplaces/ wood ovens, cosy atmosphere and decor, very comfortable beds and good quality linen, spacious home , nice large dining and sitting rooms, very clean

Upstairs floor is wooden and a bit noisy, but not a big issue and part of the character of the home, cutlery set up / storage in the kitchen not ideal but a very minor criticism

Beautiful house in the heart of Franschhoek. Complimentary salt and pepper, olive oil etc! Lovely swimming pool!

Excellent location, you can walk to restaurants and shops, so convenient. The pool area is where we spent most of our time, as it was scorching hot, so that was perfect. Beds slept well and just great space in the house.

Because it was so hot, I would've like air conditioning down stairs, but other than that, the house was wonderful.

Our stay was amazing, the facilities are stunning & the beds sleep exceptionally comfortable.

So well equipped and such a stunning outside area! I loved this house. We really enjoyed our stay.

There's nothing I didn't like about the place

location is fabulous, courtyard living is awesome

decor is very old and tired, beds are small. shower in bath in 1 room. definitely not luxurious
