Listen to "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Amstrong, and you will get a bit of the feeling I had at Sweet Pea Cottage, which is very confortable and perfect for two and a little dog. It was, for my wife and me, a place of calm, beauty (Lisa is a master gardener) and rejuvenating time. The neighborhood was also very calm so for us from the big city it was all a blessing. Reading on the long chair, looking at the garden, and eating at night in the gazebo were moments of intimacy with my wife. The sunset beach was our preferred place to swim and take sun. So a 10 on 10 !!

The property had beautiful flowering gardens and trees. The owner Lisa was very helpful and attentive to all our needs. We brought our dog and she let us know about all the dog friendly beaches and restaurants in the area. We had a very enjoyable stay.

We loved our stay at Sweet Pea cottage and so did our 11-pound Bolonka. Easy drive to downtown Cape May, quiet neighborhood, gorgeous garden. Lisa, our host, who lives in attached house, could not have been more welcoming. Everything in cottage was spotless and comfortable. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage in a garden by the sea surrounded by beautiful artwork and late fall flowers. We came to go birding during the fall migration and were close to all the right spots. Being just two blocks from the beach was wonderful for long dog walks with my pup. Much appreciation to our gracious and attentive host! We hope to be back often.

The Sweet Pea Cottage is described accurately and is very clean, comfortable...and wonderful! The owner, Lisa, has created and maintained a lovely garden which surrounds the property; making the cottage private in a rather magical way. Lisa was very helpful with suggestions and directions of the area.
Being able to walk to the beach is a major plus. The sunsets are not to be missed. We plan to return .

Sweet Pea cottage was a very cozy rental, surrounded by enchanting gardens. A short walk to the bay was such a nice way to start each morning. I was very happy to stay there and my doggie loved it too.

My friend and I had a girl's weekend and stayed at the cottage for four nights. We couldn't have been happier with it! Everything was so clean and it was just the right amount of space for the two of us! Lisa was so easy to work with and also provided lots of recommendations. The outdoor area and gardens are gorgeous and it's the perfect getaway spot. (also the bed is super comfortable)

We had a short weekend getaway at the rose cottage. The space is exactly as shown only cozier in person. Perfect for the two of us and our small dog. 2 blocks to the bay , and super cute neighborhood. We loved walking and looking at the adorable homes in the villas .
Spent a few hours at willow creek winery ( 15 minute ride) and took a ride to cape May.
Lisa was a gracious host! Easy to reach by text with any questions and had recommendations for restaurants and places that were dog friendly.
Would love to try to get back again in the summer and see the gardens in bloom.

The owner was outstanding in their communications and efforts to make the stay comfortable and successful. We were in Cape May to bird Fall migration. The owner goes out of her way to make your stay enjoyable. It is clean, cozy, bright, and has everything you need. It is the perfect size for a couple and their pup. The property is surrounded by a beautiful garden that attracts birds and butterflies. Eating dinner or breakfast in the gazebo is a real treat. The beach is only two blocks away, and you can bring your pup. Perfect for long walks, sunrise, and sunset. Need a break from the beach? Cape May, Wildwood, Stone Harbor, breweries, and wineries are minutes away. A perfect retreat at the beach.

Are stay on this property was absolutely wonderful, the host Lisa was very kind and offered to help in every way possible. My family lives nearby she allowed them to come visit us on the property gave us extra chairs to have dinner together and is very pet friendly.
This was my animals first trip away from home so they were a little nervous around strangers and made a little bit of noise and she was Completely wonderful. I would highly recommend This property. The gardens were exquisite made it feel like a little bit of each and a little bit of country. Couldn’t ask for a better time

Our stay at Sweet Pea Cottage was so relaxing! There was ample room but with a cozy beach bungalow feel. The lovely gardens provided an everyday butterfly extravaganza! Lisa was available if needed but unobtrusive and privacy was never an issue. There is very good food to be had close by! Our favorite part of the days we were there were our short evening walks from the cottage to the expansive shore of the Delaware Bay. The sound of the waves and sunsets in gold, blues, reds, oranges and pinks offered pure contentment. Anyone we met in the Villas and their pets were calm and friendly. It was if we had our own vacation home & Sweet Pea Cottage was close to everything wonderful Cape May has to offer!

Tiny place to stay, even for one person. Nicely kept inside. Garden beautifully kept outside. This would be a beautiful tiny place to stay if in another neighborhood. However, neighborhood & location itself felt unsafe & sketchy. Neighborhood scuffle & screaming between locals (right in front of house) going on when I pulled up to check in. Felt unsafe to stay mainly due to the incident when I initially arrived (random woman telling me multiple times to call the police) & appearance of surrounding neighborhood. Left after one night stay and no consideration of even a partial refund by owner.

Easy Breezy by the Bay
Upon arrival, we had quick and easy access to our VRBO. It was remarkably comfortable, but not worn. We found many places to visit within 10 minutes, like Cape May Beaches, Wildwood, walking and biking trails, and a short block to enjoy the bay. There was excellent ice cream at Flecks and dog friendly restaurants nearby. The gardens were very colorful on the property and our dog had no problem behaving and following the expectations of the property owner. Would definitely do it again.

Perfect Paradise
I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience at Sweet pea Cottage. It was almost like a little trip to heaven and believe me, I didn't want to leave. The cottage was perfect, the gazebo, delightful, the proximity to the beach fabulous and the garden was so beautiful it was hard to imagine how much love and dedication it took to create. Lisa was the perfect host and I plan to return when ever I can. She even showed my best friend and I her second property (also amazing) that I plan to book for a ladies getaway off season. The photos and description of Sweet Pea are great, but they don't do it justice. I felt the warmth and comfort of the the property as soon as I entered the driveway. My two mini doxies loved it too! I booked it for a total of 10 days and leaving to come back to my "real world" was very hard to do.

A beautiful place to relax
This property is as beautiful as you see in the photos. I also received a botany lesson from the owner who puts her heart and soul into her garden. The garden is spectacular!! The house is walking distance to the beach and driving distance to Cape May. I enjoyed my stay so much and recommend it for people who want to relax. The owner has great instructions for accessing the house, connecting to Wi-Fi, and suggestions for restaurants and shops in the area. She is an artist and her beautiful work is displayed throughout the house.

This cottage is darling and the grounds don’t disappoint! Lisa is a wonderful hostess and assists with anything you need! Highly recommend this stay for a respite from the daily grind. The bay is a short walk or get in your car and go to Cape May’s beach (or any other southern Jersey beach). Villas does not have much going on so plan accordingly!

The Sweet Pea Cottage was exactly as described. Impeccably clean and well kept. I especially liked the fact that it was tucked into the property with trees and gardens surrounding. I was there in late Fall, but I can imagine how beautiful it would be in the Spring and Summer months. I loved the foam mattress and the flannel sheets on this chilly weekend- and the nice deep inviting tub where I enjoyed a bubble bath. The very pretty bayside beach was a short walk up the street, and the sunsets here cannot be matched. Overall a very romantic and rejuvenating weekend. The Jessie Creek winery which is nearby was a delightful find as well.

Neat and Clean, quiet neighborhood.
Beautiful little apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Everything in the apartment was like new. Comfortable queen bed, full bath, complete kitchen, WI-FI and cable TV. We had a short stay but you could live here comfortably for a couple weeks. Our host, Lisa, met us when we arrived and treated us like family.
