Perfect size for a couple. Great view and very close to pool and beach. One complaint: refrigerator couldn’t cool enough to keep milk from spoiling.

We have stayed here before in another unit which was beautiful. The condo grounds and location are excellent. The staff are always attending to the gardens, pool and cleaning. The people that own or rent are super friendly. The condo itself was neat but not clean and extremely outdated. The pillow cases were soiled, the cushions on the rickety chairs was also soiled. The place has things you need but probably from the dollar store, I would suggest you at least bring a good knife. It has a toaster oven and microwave but we didn't cook just reheated some leftover lunches. The shower is ok, it doesn't drain so you are in inches of water when taking a shower. The cabinets are original and the counter top also which is tile and peeling. There was no broom and only one garbage bag- so bring your own bags. The Wifi is very weak, and only outside a bit on the patio or around the pool. In todays world Wifi is so important. The patio has no umbrella so it gets hot outside when sitting out there, also the screen door is not working so very hard to open- needs to be fixed. Larry responded when we asked questions right away. This location is great and you can walk to a bunch of restaurants, we walked up the street everyday to the El Wine Shop which was also a coffee shop and it was the best. Has some great food options and also juices. It is easy to get to Cabo San Lucas on the bus and also if you don't want to walk to San Jose you can take the bus- both are not expensive. In San Jose- we found this amazing taco place called La Lupita - best tacos ever and live bands at night. If the place was updated a bit, organized (all cupboards just had stuff jammed into it) and refreshed some amenities it would be great. The couch is falling apart- so if you are thinking of sleeping on it- I don't think so - we didn't even sit on it. People say location location- and that is what this place is.

The rental process was very easy and owner was as responsive to questions and solving WiFi problems.

If you are looking for a comfortable bed, world class beach hiking, a super secure property with friendly and responsive staff, all the usual amenities, and well priced…this is your spot.

I am giving 3 stars because this rental was a mix of great and bad things. The great: Location! You are literally steps from the beach and a great reataurant (on the beach too) called Mama mia which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, delicious and affordable. The property surrounds are quiet and very nice, you can hear the ocean and the birds for the most part and it is safe. One great thing about this condo is that you literally can enjoy the sunrise from the patio. So, every day I woke up at 6:30 am prepare myself a cofee and sat in the patio to see the sunshine! Now, the bad: Altough it was clean, the apartment is very outdated and not well mantained. To list some of the things: There is mold in the shower ceiling, the TV is still a CRT from the 90s, the curtain's rod was broken and put together with tape! So I had to be very careful when I open and close them. The towels are very old too and there were only 2, no shampoo, soap or any other thing . The AC is also extremely old and loud. The internet only works in the patio and it is very slow. To me the worst thing was the matress which had a plastic cover and you could also tell was old. Overall, I enjoyed my stay because of the location and because I spent most of the time outside the apartment. But it would had been nice if I could also enjoy the inside.

Property outside was extremely well maintained. Inside of condo was cleaned only in the middle. Dishes weren’t clean. No broom. Only 2 face cloths 3 face towels 3 bath towels and 2 beach towels. No dish cloths or Scrubber. Kitchen faucet leaks and sprays. Needs replacing. Archaic small tv. No umbrella for patio to protect from hot sun in mornings. Couch is falling apart in the middle underneath. Not enough hangers in bathroom for towels. Won’t return to this condo

Superb location on the beach at Costa Azul (San Jose del Cabo). Nice property, good pool, great beach. Condo had good selection of beach stuff to use. All appliances and furnishings were good.

A quick walk to the amazing beach, wonderful pool & grounds. The room was simple and great for us! Would recommend it indeed!!!

Perfect for our small family. Easy walk down the beach to all the area’s surf spots ... but far enough removed from crowds to allow peace and quiet on beach out front. Will re-book.

What a great get-away in a perfect spot! Was just as described and we could not have been happier with the location or amenities.. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Larry provided all the information we needed up front which made our stay stress free! Mama Mias is a quick little walk on the beach and had an amazing Happy Hour from 2 to 4. Food was also fantastic!! Zippers was a short walk the other way. No happy hour but seemed happy all the time!! Nothing super fancy but you can't beat the location! Thanks for the great stay Larry!!

The resort was in great shape and the staff super Nice. Was a little disappointed that the swim up bar was listed in the photos but isn’t accessible from the property. It’s next door and part of a private all inclusive resort. But overall a great stay

Unit is better in person then pictures show. We stayed for a week and had everything we needed to make our stay amazing! Larry is super helpful and his studio condo was everything we expected and more. Location was amazing with a view of the ocean and between the 2 resort pools. The complex is meticulously cared for and the security is helpful and vigilant. We will definitely stay here again!!!

Friendly and helpful workers/guards. Neighbors too. Enjoyed some good food and entertainment nearby also. Made for a wonderful time in Baja.

The owner, Larry, was easy to work with and available via text/email during our stay. The location of the complex and the unit itself is superb! We rented a car but some things are walkable. All the "neighbors" were lovely, quiet and friendly. Now the Cons:The Unit is NOT a one bedroom. It is a Studio. The photo shown in the ad of the palapa bar is NOT on this property and never was. Other pics are accurate. The WiFi absolutely doesn't work inside the unit. It does work on the patio and by the pool. I misunderstand that the wifi was provided by owner and it is not. It is provided by the complex. Kitchen is a little difficult to work in. Very little counter space. It was supplied with everything you need (barely). We bought oil, salt & pepper, coffee etc plus regular groceries. We made breakfast most days. The hot plate was sufficient for that but don't plan any fancy meals. Paper towels, TP and dish soap were provided. We did enjoy our stay. Thanks Larry!

Property was great. It was a little hard to work in the small kitchen facilities, but every thing was there. The WiFi service had a small bandwidth and was unavailable at times through mid day and early evening. Enjoyed our stay and would come again. Reg

This little condo was perfect for our little family! We are steps from the pool and can also see the ocean from the patio. It was clean and had everything we needed. Larry is awesome and very helpful.

What a great vacation! Place was everything we needed. Its on the ground floor right in between 2 pools and just steps away from the beach. If you walk onto the sand and look right, you can check the surf down at Zippers. We had great swell while we were there and this location made it easy to be the first ones on the wave. Air conditioning worked great which was a huge relief from the mid summer heat. Good sized fridge and everything we needed to cook. The huge grocery store (La Comer) is only a couple minute drive up the road (along with some great restaurants). The host, Larry, was always available if we had any questions. The place is easy to find. When your coming from the airport, just look to your left (the beach side) for the big "La Jolla" sign. Will definitely come back for our next Cabo trip!

Firstly let me thank the property owner Larry for his professionalism, he was very helpful in making my booking super easy. When travelers book a room and have not actually seen the unit they take risk. I will be frank and say although the unit is in a excellent location with a partial view of the ocean; the unit itself was outdated, furniture is old, unit was not clean at all. There was water leaking from the upstairs unit. It bothered me that I had to throw away a bar of soap from a previous guest. This is below my standards and although the price of the unit was about par, I feel if I'm going to travel to another country my accommodations should not be a burden. Customers should be told the truth about a property before they book, and I just gave an honest review. Still had fun in cabo.

The place was nearly deserted, no exaggeration we didn't see a dozen guests during our entire 5 day stay. The two properties West of us we were still pumping out of pools but La Jolla fantastic like Lidia didn't touch it. Everyday we walked less than 300 meters east along the beach for breakfast at Mama Mia's in the Coral complex which was just as well maintained and better attended. The condo was well situated for Sunrises and sunsets which we often enjoyed privately, of course we were there the end of Sep hurricane season. We got lucky with marvelous weather. Toaster oven and microwave cooking, wi-fi and entertainment improvements would add value. I would definitely stay again and Larry is welcome to share our VRBO Browning Mansion in Ogden, UT (shameless promotion)

What a wonderful place to stay while enjoying Cabo! Larry was SO extremely helpful, providing my husband and I tons of tips and great info that really made our stay easy and stress free. He was right- do try Sardina Cantina. They have fantastic fish tacos! And take the bus- super easy, clean, efficient... a very positive experience- they run till about 11pm so you have plenty of time to do a sunset cruise in San Lucas and make it back directly in front of the condo. Each way is only about $1.50 per person. Make sure you have plenty cash as lots of places aren't set up for credit card pay- small bills would be recommended. One tip I would add is that the sales guys at the airport are pretty pushy- we finally convinced them that we only wanted to use the shuttle Larry recommended, and ended up booking an excursion later after checking out the area to see what we may want to do. The dinner cruise on the Caborey was nice, but we didn't get to exit the boat and see Lover's Beach or see the arch up close, so a water taxi may have been a better choice, at least for us. The condo was cozy and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and looked right out of the patio door to the pool, coconut palms and the BEACH! You could hear the crash of the waves from bed. The staff there work so hard to keep the grounds so beautiful and safe. The shower was hot and had tons of pressure. The kitchen was small, but sufficient for light cooking to avoid eating out every meal. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio every morning. The tiny grocery store nearby doesn't have much, but did sell some alcohol and produce. We walked to the La Comer supermarket, which was a distance, but not too far...if it's not too hot out yet. Larry was right about that, too- tons of fun! The produce and bakery was great. And pretty much anything else you can possibly think of is there. We ended up renting a scooter from Spanky's to make getting around easier once the days starting heating up, which I would recommend, mostly because it was so much fun. Definitely a place we'd return to. Thank you again Larry for making our trip so wonderful!

We recently spent a week at this condo and couldn't have been happier! Larry is great to deal with, responsive and sent a fantastic welcome package with all the information we needed. The condo is pretty much as advertised. The 'kitchen' is very basic with just a micro, toaster oven and hotplate, but full size fridge with freezer. Plenty of space to keep your beer & wine cold (top priority), and there is everything else you need to make all your meals if you choose to. The patio furniture was a bit sad, but Larry let me know it's being replaced. The bed and couch were comfy and as already mentioned the shower pressure & hot water were amazing! Sorry Larry, my showers were a little longer than normal. We've stayed at La Jolla a couple times in the past, and preferred this ground unit as we could look straight out and enjoy the ocean view or step out to the pool. We always love the beautifully kept grounds on the property and the owners are always friendly and helpful. La Jolla is a great location for the fantastic beach, access to groceries & restaurants and ease of catching a bus if you want to head toward Cabo or into San Jose. This is a perfect condo for a couple and we'll certainly be back!

Larry, the owner, is a very professional owner. I hounded him with a lot of e-mails and he was quick to respond to each and every one. First off, it has been my experience that very few places in Mexico are perfect and not being in such a condition to say something could not be improved. Larry's condo has very few things to nit pick about. I'd change out the TV that is there and maybe upgrade an appliance here and there, but overall it's a nice place. The pictures give you a true feel for what you are renting. The ground floor room has a great ocean view and quick access to the pools. The "resort" is never very crowded and although most guests/owners were on the older side, there were people of all ages there. People were very friendly and almost everybody greeted you with a smile and a hello. The condo is very safe and secure. Security can be seen often. We often left the patio door open with the screen shut and never were concerned about having to hide IPADs or phones (even when we walked the beach). I liked the location. We walked to the Mega about twice per week. It's a 15-20 minute walk up to the main street and to the right up past McDonalds. Once there we shopped and got a Taxi for $5 - $7 back to the condo. It's funny how the price varied. To those that like a good shower..........this place had arguably the best water pressure and hot water that I have ever had. Awesome! The beds were very comfy and the A/C worked flawlessly. There were a couple small issues while we were there, but they proved to be not that big of a deal in the long run. Larry was very responsive and most helpful. We really enjoyed our 2-week stay.
