The view was amazing.

The staff was very helpful and the hospitality offered exceptional. The lake, with its plentiful fish and birds was unbelievably beautiful. The bungalow overlooking the lake and the bedroom on the upper floor which offered magical views from its large windows was an added bonus.

Wi-Fi was not available in the bungalows themselves, but restricted to the restaurant / lounge area.

I loved the room, the view, the nature feel to it. All in all anything that was natural to the environment

The welcome was appalling, we parked our vehicle where the manager an elderly white lady by the name Tilli or killi spoke in afrikans on our parking as I walked up to the entrance which I overhead and gingerly asked where it was appropriate to park and if there was any day visitors we could park at their spots later, she walked away and asked another worker to come do his work not bothering to answer me and proceeded to go sit at reception. On asking if she had been the lady I spoke to she dismissed me without smiling saying she only answers phones check in isn't her duty at which I said wow what a welcome does she not want our money at which she said she doesn't get paid by us at which I advised her attitude is appalling is this how namibian hospitality is like as Botswana is more than exceptional at which she then referred me as miss Botswana and that she didn't care and that she wasn't my cleaning floor cloth as she moved closer to me at which a elderly white gentleman with my partner calmed the situation somewhat. We were not offered or told the procedures or activities nor advised the breakfast times nor dinner till I asked which she didn't answer but her employee responded on. This ruined the whole experience to the point we disregarded going to the sunset boat ride amongst others. It was the worst service experience I have ever experienced and will never recommend it to any of my clients, colleagues or friends and where I advised I would state it on booking.com's reviews at which she said she didn't care! Absolutely horrible horrible, not even the next day did she apologize or at dinner.. needless to say we were out of there immediately the next morning!!

Our vehicle broke down and Von Bach Dam Resort looked after us. Hope to stay here in the future.

Kayaking on the lake was great! Kittie was a great host and took me on a private tour through the area. Thanks for that!

Very poor service from staff and management. Untidy dining/eating area. Food was not prepared well.

What a wonderful place! I selected it as a stepping stone in driving from Sossusvlei to Etosha. Nice setting overlooking the lake, dinner and breakfast were excellent ( I had a very nice lamb steak done to order, yummy), quiet, fresh air, lots of surrounding nature). I also had the pleasure to spend the evening with the hosts over a few glasses of good wine, they shared a lot of their life experience in Namibia and South Africa, I learned a lot about the history and society of these amazing countries. Definitely the place I will stay at again.
