We originally booked the pink zebra cottage, but that property suffered some plumbing/HVAC damage right before we arrived, so the property manager swooped in and saved the day finding us the 12th and Ocean house to stay in. They were so helpful in ensuring we had everything we needed and since we cut our stay here short by three days, we were refunded our money. This property was also more expensive, but they did not increase our rate. We were so grateful to Kelly's help and she saved our vacation and saved the day! 12th and Ocean is an awesome property for families. It's huge and the access to the beach is by far the best perk, with the all seasons room and outdoor patio coming a close second. There were a few things that maybe could have been different - one guest said there was sand in their never before slept in bed, and the dishes seemed to be dirty (old dishwasher), but we were able to deal with these things just find. Not deal breakers. Overall, I would totally recommend this property and booking with Tybee Cottages. They went above and beyond and the property was perfect for our family.

We would recommend this property to anyone. We enjoyed the Deck restaurant, especially their butter shrimp. We rented bikes and enjoyed biking around the island. The kids loved the pool and the beach was a short walk from the house. We also took a day trip to Savannah and loved learning about the history of the city.

Directions and instructions for finding the key were very clear. Owner and management company were very responsive to all questions; she called ahead of time to let us know the washer was broken and would not have parts in time to be fixed during our stay; they provided plenty of towels and washcloths for 10 people for 8 days! Property was very clean, inviting, cozy and conveniently located to the beach, which was only about a 3-5 minute walk. Private pool with fridge, bathroom and outdoor shower located on the same level was a plus! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Can not recommend this property enough!!!! 10 of us went to Tybee for a long weekend for a bachelorette party and the house was perfect. Everyone slept comfortably, theme of the house was adorable, the distance from beach was ideal and we loved staying on the island. 1000/10 experience

Great location -layout was nice pool area as nice as well- Seven ladies traveled I think it would be difficult with couples as it’s a quaint cottage, but not a lot of space to spread out. The shepherd cottage is cute, but definitely smelled musty. No one opted to stay up there. A block and a half to the beach was very convenient. Only 2 improvements- We were disappointed that we did not find any beach towels in the unit. I had asked the property manager in an email a few times and they never responded. Pool is not heated- It was really cold, but it was an April trip.

Reviewer Comments: When we arrived at the cottage it was dark out, instructions on finding the lock box w/ the key to be able to enter the property was terrible. Directions said the lock box was on an arch next to the pool, An arch to me is round like a MC Donald’s arch, I found that rounded arch on the side of the cottage but there was no lock box any where, upon further looking there was a trellis on the side of the pool that they were calling an arch and that’s where the lock box w/key was. Then the key doesn’t work to open the door, the side door was left unlocked because it doesn’t lock properly. We were tired from driving all day and hungry, and the management company was not easy to get ahold of, they ghosted our calls for hours and then giving multiple excuses as to why they couldn’t respond, around 11pm some one comes to oil the locks and said they’d be back in the morning to replace the lock that wasn’t working. It was so aggravating having to deal with that after driving for such a long time. Sheets didn’t fit the beds they came off constantly and was terribly annoying, the comforters were dirty at the top from where people with makeup had them up against there face, lights flickered and barely came on in the kitchen, ceiling fans didn’t work nor did the tv in the bedroom. The pool was not heated and I called weeks before we arrived to ask if the pool was heated but no one returned my call. There was dust and dirt every where and a film on all the counters and dirty cup rings on most all of the night stands. The couch and chair covers looked like they hadn’t ever been cleaned, It was a nightmare and we’ll never rent from this company again. CERTAINLY NOT WORTH THE THOUSANDS WE PAYED TO STAY THERE. SO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON’T RENT FROM THIS GROUP THEY DON’T VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS WHICH WAS EVIDENT TO US AND HAVING TO WAIT TILL LATE IN THE EVENING AND THEN THE NEXT MORNING TO GET A SE

The ocean was only a short walk across their main road. The pool and yard were well maintained. We were disappointed in the worn and dirty slip covers on the living room couch and chairs. The dining table chairs were also stained. On the flip side, the bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen were clean and well stocked. The cottage was very nicely decorated. We all enjoyed the property and agreed that we would stay again. Negatives were that at least one smoke alarm was partly missing and the living space above the garage didn’t seem to have a smoke alarm at all. The washer and dryer didn’t work properly and had to be fussed with to keep them running. Two of the three televisions weren’t able to access programming. A neighbor told us that the cottage is usually booked. Hopefully the property managers can do routine inspections to ensure the details mentioned are maintained between guests so all visitors can stay and enjoy property’s full potential.

The Pink Zebra was well suited for our group of eight ladies. It provided ample and comfortable sleeping arrangements and bathrooms. Although the kitchen is small, everything we needed was available. The property made very good use of the space with parking for 3 vehicles, a swimming pool, and patio. We were within walking distance to the beach, tennis courts, and restaurants. The property manager was promptly available to answer all questions and provide any assistance needed.

We love love loved this little cottage! It was perfect for our girls weekend! The house was fully stocked for everything we needed! The pool area was our favorite hangout!

The main house accommodated 6 adults and 3 kids perfectly and the guest house was a dream for my 2 teenage daughters. The pool is awesome! The privacy is awesome and shade in the pool area helps keep the water temperature perfect! Not too warm like most summer pools in the area. The outdoor shower, bath room, and refrigerator is a great convenience while swimming. We spend most of our time at the pool and walked across the street to the beach almost every day as well, very close! Loved this place and will try to stay again!

The beach was very wide and not crowded for July. The house is a historical wonder. Built in the 1930’s it still appears to have the original hardwood floors and bead-board walls and ceilings. Even though it is a historical house it has modern updated kitchen and bathrooms. We had 6 adults and 4 children and we were very comfortable. There are two separate buildings. The main house with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and a garage with an apartment upstairs. This arrangement worked very well for us. The house is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. First trip to Tybee and we loved it. We had a great week there and would recommend the Pink Zebra to everyone.

The pink zebra cottage was super cute and as described! Beds were very comfortable and decor fun & beachy. The extra bonus area above the garage was perfect for our teenagers and the outdoor shower was A HIGHLIGHT for everyone. A couple things to note - there are no beach/pool towels at the house (we ended up buying some) which would have been nice, as I’m sure they’d prefer guests not use bath towels outdoors. There were some kid toys/rafts on hand but having some chairs to take down to the beach would have been great as well. Overall - super fun stay on Tybee for our family!

We were looking for a fun beachside home to make my best friend's bachelorette party a colorful one, and this home crossed everything off our list. Close to a beachside restaurants, not too far from the city center of Savannah, and walking access to the beach. It was amazing! We had an incredible time.

This was an awesome little house with perfect accommodations. Everything we needed was there. The decorator did a fantastic job. The beds were comfortable, the space was perfect for a small family gathering. The beach was about a 300yd walk. Could not have gotten picked a better spot.

We could walk across the street to the quiet beach but we did not even need to leave the house because of the in ground pool. Every thing was comfortable and so cute. Three king size bedrooms accommodated all of our group. The furniture was comfortable. We enjoyed the screened in porch. The garage apartment was comfortable. The only drawback was the TV in the den area did not work because the cable box was defective and the replacement did not arrive before the end of our weekend. But I would definitely stay at this home again.

The pool was refreshing , although there were Hundreds of those black Biting nats that appeared between 3:30 pm and all night. We had to finally purchase a spray to use just so we could enjoy the pool in late afternoon and evening. The house next to pool area is an eye sore, and has many junk things filled with standing water, and I believe this may have been part of problem. You cannot see a lot of this house while at pool, but clear view of their hoarder backyard is viewable from back cottage above garage. This did not detract from us enjoying our own beautiful cottage, Mo's cottage could use a few more items in kitchen , and there should be a coffee maker placed out in Guest cottage, every toilet was " so the noise was constant. Jim sent a plumber but he could not fix one in Guesthouse for two more days as he had to order a part. The house was " surface cleaned " .. Loved the decor of the cottage! It's so cute and very comfy . Our annual girls trip was fun and we enjoyed it. I loved having the guest cottage out back. it was like having a little apartment all to yourself. We had 6 women and this house was perfect for us. The ice maker would not keep up with our group, so we did need to purchase Ice. All in all it was a great Trip and Jim was very helpful with our few minor issues. The management company cares and that's always a plus! This is a really cute cottage . We also rented Little Bead cottage last year when it was just two of us and that was really nice also with a pool. I would rent any of these cottages with no hesitation !

The location is perfect, is fact you can see the boardwalk to the beach from dinner table. The design of the house is spectacular and makes you feel relaxed and just so happy. My personal favorite was the guest house, it is right next to the pool and the cute little bedding area was perfect for reading on some of the rainy days we experienced. It was also very very clean, and felt like I was right at home. Jim of Tybed Cottages was also very helpful in helping us through the rental process. Perfect stay!

Made daily trips on foot to retrieve and return beach wheelchair so much easier. Jane Coslick homes are always a delight. We were surprised to find there were only showers and no bathtub. Since our daughter is physically handicapped, that posed a big challenge particularly since there were no hold bars or stool. Otherwise we had a great stay once again!
