Breakfast was great. Location was great. However, hotel is quite far from the ferry and hotel was very unhelpful about getting the luggage to the rooms and so we had to take it ourselves in the heat. Hotel needs to meet guests and transfer luggage given that the rooms we stayed in cost £750 per night

The location and the design of the apartments already make for a great holiday but it is the staff that makes it ideal - whether it is Ana serving your breakfast or Ivan making sure you have all you need while enjoying the beach. We were all very well looked after and our daughter felt like a real princess! We've been coming to Lopud for many years and staying in Lafodia for the last few of those and this year was the best stay we've had.

The public beaches (not the hotel's own one) on the island were generally dirty but Sunj which is meant to be the best of them all was by far the worst - filthy and dangerous with lots of broken glass, metal and plastic. The now-annual weekend arrival of the dredger filled with drunks who blast out incredibly loud music while moored close by can really disrupt your enjoyment too.
