Staff were great, it was clean and comfortable, and other travelers were friendly and a good mix of ages and personalities.

Beds would benefit from curtains.

Super nice people, Mike the receptionist is really chill. Good vibe, nice energy, you will feel comfortable immediately. Close tp the beach and a short walk into town.

I will definetely come back to this hostel, for me it was not a hostel, it was a home, a place where wonderful people from different places can meet and having a good time! Andrea and Mike are doing a great job - from second one I felt like home thanks to the warm welcoming of Mike. For sure a place is always as good as its people, so during my stay, there where amazing people around - I really appreciated!!!! I am travelling a lot and have been a lot in hostels but this vibes were special and unique - thanks, grazie and obrigado!

The location is at the end of Santa maria and close to the beach. The people who working there are amazing. Andrea will help you wherever he can and he will always give you useful Tips for trips, food or where to go out 😊 i stayed there for one month and it was an amazing time

I was solo travelling in the last week of november. The hostel has a really homey feel and it's the perfect size (20-30) beds so at some point you know everyone there. Most people stay at least 1 week so it's the best place to make friends. If you go there during the high season you will not be bored one minute. Also it gets cleaned thoroughly everyday, there are more than enough showers and toilets and the rooms are small 2-6 beds. Finally Mike and Andre are the coolest guys, and were really helpful with booking kite lessons, renting a car and finding good restaurants. Each bed has a locker with lock included so no need to bring anything. Easy recommend!

There are enough fans but no a/c. If you can not sleep in ~20 celcius maybe look for a place with ac.

My stay at Surf House Hostel was just perfect; the hostel felt like home and Andrea, Mike and everyone staying at the hostel felt like family. The common space and outdoor section are the beating heart; the big kitchen is perfect to cook breakfast/lunch/common dinners. Andrea and Mike were super helpful and always there to answer questions or help organize activities. Definitely recommend staying here if you travel to Sal!

The owner andrea and his friend are super nice and go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time on sal.

Best value for money! The hostel is very clean, well equipped, Andrea was super nice and accommodating. It's located approx. 10 minutes walk to get to the pier and center. Even Though its a little bit out of the center, it's the continuation of the main street, secured area.

I've stayed in this hostel for almost one month and enjoyed it every day. Great vibe, I met a lot of amazing people, many people were extending their stays, because they also liked it a lot. The owner is very nice and friendly, ready to help you. And one more thing. Chairs are fine!

I’ve had an amazing week at the hostel, meeting so many great people. Andrea is very friendly and relaxed. The hostel is spacious, clean, has a good kitchen, comfy sofa and great outside area. Every bed is equipped with its own spacious locker, bed-light, powerplug. Its location is at the edge of the touristy town, just 50m from the beach, and very close to everything you need; perfect location! One of the best hostels I’ve ever been.
