The hostess is an absolute angel, you can be carefree with her around! The AC was very powerful, everything was calm and pretty quiet. We enjoyed the outdoor little patio and A LOT of kitchenware were available :) overall great stay!

No essential things such as broom, dish soap, hand soap, salt, etc.

Location just 2kms from the ferry to Les Saintes, although you need a car to get down to the ferry in the morning. The owner of La Joliette kindly took us -for 15 euros - down to the terminal in the morning As we had booked in for a further night’s stay on our return from Les Saintes 3 days later, she also agreed kindly to keep our bags in the house in the meantime so that we could take just one bag over for the 3 nights in Terre-de-Haut Facilities were adequate for overnight stay and pleasnt outside sitting area.

A small point - the GPS address of the property is not the sames as the code for the residential address and this caused a problem.both to our taxi from airport ( 50 minutes for 75 euros ). and to the company delivering subsequently our hired car. Just ask in advance and the owner will send the GPS address. More serious was an incident on our final morning. We politely pointed out to the owner on departure that the plumbing of the toilet was defective in that the floor was flooded in the morning. She thanked us for the information (although no offer of compensation), said that she would call in a plumber and asked us to show exactly the problem. We went inside and demonstrated the nature of the issue. She then accused us of breaking the toilet seat and demanded 40 euros. We explained that the toilet seat, upon our arrival, had been hanging off on one dide and subsequently became dislidged entirely. We had nit complained as it was not a serious issue for just an overnight stay and because she had kindly offered to look after our bags. She did not accept this. We unwillingly paid the extra 40 euros as we had not pointed out ghe damage to her upon arrival, and we were in a hurry to travel north.

Good location. And owner of the house, Madame Anique is amiable. She showed us a cusine and recommended places to visit
