Er zijn kennelijk veel zware mensen voor ons in de gite geweest. De bedden (van gite 2) waren doorgelegen en een van de tuinstoelen was doorgezakt. Eigenaresse gaf aan dat beide op korte termijn vervangen gaan worden. Prijs-kwaliteit was hierdoor voor ons redelijk. Met betere bedden is het ok

Lovely, modern and clean. The Gites were very convenient for the Pick & Pay and close to the town and the Wine Tram (walking distance). Our host met us at the property and showed us where everything was and how to warm up the hot tub. She had pre heated it for us, prior to our arrival. Thanks for the rusks and the recipe! Delicious. Good mini kitchen and a braai facilities with wood and lighters. Felt very safe and happily walked into town in the afternoon.

Nothing not to like. We had a perfect stay for two nights.

Clean and comfortable with lovely staff/ owners; great view of the mountains; good air conditioning/ heating and quiet bedroom fan; generally well equipped; felt secure

Security light + blind in bedroom caused some unwanted light at night; lack of blinds in living area great for enjoying view but feels a bit less private; small suggestions for improvement (eg. install a makeup mirror and provide shampoo in bathroom, add a milk frothing jug and tamper to complement the coffee machine)

Tolle Unterkunft in sehr guter Lage. Alles sehr sauber. Ausstattung sehr gut, es war alles vorhanden: Grill, Feuerholz, Anzünder, einfach alles. Toller Whirlpool mit Feuerbeheizung. Gastgeberin Antoinette war super nett, herzlich und hat sich um alles gekümmert (ob Reservierungen Taxi....). Von der Unterkunft ist die Winetram Station und Franschhoek fussläufig zu erreichen.

We loved the extra privacy of our own cabin. It was close enough to town should you wish to walk, but a very easy drive that we chose to do. Quiet and peaceful with gorgeous views from every window.

Super freundliche Gastgeber und geniale Lage mitten im Anbaugebiet. Unser Highlight war das Hot Tub das einen perfekten Tagesabschluss am Abend bietet.

Richtig schönes kleines Gîte, dass sehr gut eingerichtet war und keine Wünsche offen ließ (Küchenutensilien, Grillsachen, Bubbly zur Begrüßung, Klima und Netflix...). Hot tub und Grill haben unser Erlebnis abgerundet. Danke Kim für die ganzen guten Tipps - sowohl fürs Essen als auch für die Anfahrt!

Franschhoek war durch Unwetter sehr mitgenommen. Gastgeber haben alles versucht, dass das keine Auswirkungen auf uns hat, was auch geklappt hat. Danke!

Such a GEM! Hidden away in a vineyard surrounded by mountains and farm animals. We loved that everything is pvt. Looking forward to visiting in summer again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gite 1! The staff were very friendly, the location was great and a 3 minute walk away from the Wine Tram, within a secure complex. The hottub is a great way to relax and the accommodation is very well insulated, so it was surprisingly warm in a very cold winter! The views of the Franschhoek mountain were amazing and a running river behind the Gite provides a nice, relaxing setting for a relaxing weekend away! Would definitely come back.

The only room for improvement was that there wasn't much light on the terrace, so it made braaiing quite tricky.

Tastefully decorated, self-catering unit with all we needed. Weber braai and hot tub a bonus.

Truly an amazing stay, lovely cabin in the woods! Very secluded cabin with gorgeous views. Awesome amenities and wonderful hosts. Antoinette really walked the extra mile to accommodate us. Highly recommend.

The cabin was neat and tidy and very cosy. The wood fired hot tub was also very nice. However the studio apartment was a bit close to the main house, much closer than one would expect...and did take away the feeling of having privacy. The other units might be better than the studio.

One of the main amenities advertised to people is the wood fired hot tub...however when you arrive you get told by the host that you only have limited wood that they have given you and when you use it up you need to buy additional wood yourself...but they only give you barely enough wood to run the tub for 1 night...however we booked 3 nights... At a minimum for the price you pay you could reasonably expect to be provided enough wood to run the wood fired hot tub for every night that you have booked...after all it is what they used to motivate you to stay at their property by advertising it...To expect your guests to then go buy their own wood to run an amenity for most of they their stay that you advertised as provided...is just rude and unprofessional. If it was an electrical hot tub would you ask us to pay for night 2 and 3 for our own electricity? Probably not...or it's like telling us that we can only use the aircon or geyser for night 1 and then night 2 and 3 we will have to pay for the additional electricity. If you wouldn't do it in other scenarios why would you do it for the wood fired tub... Either give your guests more wood or adjust your prices to allow for it for every night...but don't put the responsibility and additional costs of running a supposedly provided amenity on your guests! Thats just rude and unprofessional.

Location

When power outages, there was no way we could have a cup of tea or a warm shower. We are very used to power cuts but would have expected for gite to have been much better prepared.

Very peaceful, comfortable stay. The place has an aircon in the lounge area and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. Braai and wood-fired hot tub on the patio. Very easy and safe 5min walk to the wine tram stop

it’s a beautiful self contained apartment with a fabulous view onto the mountains and orchard. very private and well appointed. Juneta has thoughtfully added some lovely touches like a vase of flowers, lovely toiletries in the bathroom, plus essentials like tea, coffee and milk. she is super helpful and friendly. a great host.

Quiet, secluded location. Amazing (wood-fired) hot tub. Incredibly helpful owners.

Difficult to get taxis. BUT...the owners stepped-in and saved the day.
