We loved our stay here. The location is in a quaint neighborhood and walkable to restaurants and all the sights. We felt like we were living like locals with views of the neighborhood out both the front and back windows. The apartment is bright and very well appointed, stocked with everything we needed and more. Christy, our host, was wonderful and has a very handy app with recommendations and helpful tips. The only downside was our stay was too short! This will be our first choice on a return trip to Amsterdam!

Wonderful stay with my wife and teenage boys. Perfect location to walk around and sightsee or take a quick Uber into city center and the train station! App with maps and recommendations for sightseeing and places to eat were spot on. We ate at a couple of their recommended dining spots and they were fantastic. Highly recommend.

Wonderful apartment. 4th floor walk up but worth the climb! Great layout and great light. Clean and well appointed. Christy was a warm and welcoming host and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautifully appointment apartment with high ceilings, luxury beds/bedding, and tasteful decor. It is brightly lit from tall windows on both sides and is quiet due to being on the top floor. It included everything we needed for our stay, including toiletries, iron/ironing board, fridge/sink/kitchen items, hair dryer, and washer/dryer. The owners are very responsive, warm, and welcoming. They greeted us upon arrival, carried our luggage up the stairs (4 flights/no elevator, which is common in Amsterdam, so not good for anyone with mobility issues, but we are all in our 60s and did fine with the stairs), and checked in with us throughout our stay. Wonderful hosts! The fridge was stocked with drinks, there were snacks/fruit available, and the kitchenette has a nice coffee/espresso maker. There were even fresh flowers in the apartment. I will stay here again on my next visit!

Beautiful 2 br and 2 bath apartment, perfect for us and 2 teens. Host was very helpful with directors, advice, and luggage. 3 min walk to the tram so easy to get to attractions. Nespresso coffee, juice, and fruit in apartment. Near Vondelpark which is beautiful. Highly recommend

We were two ‘senior’ couples. The apartment suited our needs perfectly. The beds and linens were quality, with well designed bathroom for each room. There sitting room was comfortable. The location allowed us to explore a neighbourhood with great restaurant choices. Easy to navigate the trams into the centre of town and elsewhere. Caution on the four flights of stairs, but we all managed them by taking our time. One of us was 6 months post knee replacement, and the stairs were a bit daunting, but not impossible. The apartment’s comfort was worth the climb. And, Christy made the stay very memorable with her friendliness and helpfulness.

Lovely host, lovely property, great location, but be warned the unit is 4 flights up those world famous Amsterdam staircases. Overall our party consisting of 2 couples was well served by Christy's apartment, the only thing we found lacking was a microwave. Would stay again.

Christy was a great host, communicating consistently with us before and during the stay. The property was clean and looked like the pictures. It is near tram stops, making it easy to travel around the city. The neighborhood is residential and quiet, with a variety of restaurants within a few blocks walk. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The space is just as described except we were surprised that the apartment is on the fourth floor, and the steps we're steep and narrow. That being said, there were a couple of pleasant surprises as well. We arrived before check-in and were invited to leave our luggage, and when we came back, all of the luggage had been brought up.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at Christy’s handsome B&B Bovien - she is the perfect host. All our requests were met with a prompt, helpful response. The stairs were a challenge for 4 seniors with some mobility issues but we took and time and Christy’s family helped with the luggage. Would stay here again - thanks Christy.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Amsterdam, this is a great option. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms aren’t easy to find in a historic property and it was perfect for us (two couples). Tons of unique restaurants right outside your door as well as grocery stores and access to public transportation. Close enough to the tourist area but also far enough to escape some of that busyness. Within a couple blocks of a huge park as well. Christy was very responsive and offered some great advice about places to visit when we checked in. Would definitely recommend!

at this part property you were staying with a local stay the restaurants are unbelievable. The house is so clean, immaculate in fact, all the amenities there and most of all the owner, her husband, her family are just wonderful. They brought luggage upstairs they were there if you needed them and they were just making you feel like you’re part of the family I highly recommend this place my wife and I travel very often throughout the year and this is one of the best places we’ve ever encountered, enjoy Amsterdam

We used to live in Amsterdam so it's the perfect jumping off place for people who are familiar with the city. Great hosts, super friendly. Near great restaurants, coffee shop and bike (and car) rental. Little quirks with the place - tough to get in the front door, typical super steep dutch stairs. That would be my one watch out - it's a place for people who are in good shape. Not fun to bring luggage that's 40+ pounds up 4 flights of tight stairs.. But once you get up there - beautiful place, great light and plenty of space for a family of 4.

This property is amazing. It’s beautifully appointed and located in a fabulous neighborhood- great restaurants, close to Vondelpark for morning walks/run and easy walking to city center without being in the thick of tourists. Christy was a fantastic host! I would absolutely stay here again!

This is a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment very near the VondelPark. The owner was lovely and extremely helpful and available. If you have mobility issues be aware the apartment is up many flights of narrow stairs and might be challenging

We really enjoyed our stay in Christy’s apartment. It was in a lively neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shops. The access to city center via tram was also within a few min walk making it easy to get around. The apartment was perfect for the 4 of us with plenty of space. We loved this rental. Very clean, centrally located, lovely hostess and family. Beds are comfortable. The hostess offered suggestions and was so helpful in arranging a taxi to the airport. The are four flights of steep stairs which could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues but Christy's husband and daughter briught our luggage up fir us so we were fine. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful three-night stay at B&B Bovien. The landlady was more than helpful and the accommodation extremely clean with top-notch furnishings. We had three nights of restful sleep due to the area being so quiet.
The neighbourhood isn't touristy at all and was nice to live like a local for a few days. Plenty of bars, cafes, takeaways and supermarkets in the vicinity.
Needless to say, there's plenty of transport options to get around town right on the doorstep.
We'd give B&B Bovien ten stars if there was the option.

We had a great four nights in this apartment. It is located in a nice quiet neighborhood - great to come home to at the end of a long day. Christy is fantastic and very helpful. The apartment was clean, sunny, and very comfortable. It has good wifi, and two bathrooms with showers. Nice! It has a little refrigerator, but no actual kitchen. No need - there are so many restaurants and cafes around every corner! There are three cafes within a block of the apartment, as well as several restaurants, a wine tasting shop, and two restaurants. Walk another block and there are even more places.
The apartment is a few blocks from a huge park with trails, bridges, and cute cafes. If you like walking, it is walking distance to nearly all the museums and tourist attractions. If not, no worries, it is very close to two tram stops. The trams are frequent, fast, clean, and easy to use.
The stairs to the apartment are quite steep so it wouldn't work for someone with mobility issues. But for us it was just fine! Christy even carried by suitcase up and down (though that wasn't necessary!).
We would return to this apartment in a heartbeat if in Amsterdam again.

We loved our stay! The apartment is bright and very comfortable. We slept well! It was easy to get to wherever we wanted to go either by foot or by tram (the stop is one block away). The grocery store is also within a block of the apartment. Christy is an excellent host!

Fantastic apartment perfectly placed outside the main tourist zone. The area is great for food and bars, easy access for trams to the centre.
Christy was brilliant and went beyond what was expected, leaving us food and drinks for our late check in. Beautiful area of Amsterdam the local bar olympia was fab and the spagetteria and night kichen awesome restaurants.
We would definitely recommend and would come back.
