Throughout our stay, we were not able to contact someone from makara despite several attempts. This was particularly concerning as we endured a water outage lasting one and a half days. The WhatsApp number provided belonged to a former employee, the listed phone number was inaccessible, and emails went unanswered. Our concerns were compounded when conversing with another guest who shared a similar predicament. Not only did they encounter the communication challenge, but they also lacked essential bed sheets. Furthermore, the malfunctioning jacuzzi, devoid of hot water, and numerous non-functional light bulbs added to the overall disappointment during our visit. Such experiences detracted significantly from the anticipated quality of our stay.

Nothing.The place is filthy.they booked us on the wrong day and we had to pay for it. There was only air conditioning in the bedroom. Dead bugs everywhere. The tub was to filthy to sit in. Termites had eaten through the doors, so alot of places were open to the outside. The highway is right behind it so your listening to big trucks with jake brakes all day long.This is the worst place I've ever stayed!

A perfect place for a couple of honeymoon nights! You have 4 balconies all to yourself where no one but squirrels and birds can disturb you. A spacious apartment with a lot of place, nicely furnished! It’s very close to the main road but we personally didn’t feel it - there’s a lot of trees around and one can ignore the occasional noise from the passing trucks. There is a jacuzzi indeed (as advertised) but take into account that you’re in Costa Rica where the hot water supply is …problematic. So you’d have to boil up several pans of water to make yourself comfortable. Fortunately, the kitchen is fully equipped and the stove is great!

This is one of many properties owned by a large agency. Despite the fact that they suggest you to contact them whenever you need something, when you do call, you reach a central dispatcher who has no idea who you are and where do you stay. I felt like calling a bank where you have to identify yourself and prove that you are indeed who you claim to be. When we arrived we discovered that the A/C remote control is missing (later I realized the whole A/C wasn’t functional). Anyway, the dispatcher promised me a local staff will contact me - they never did. The other day I tried to extend our stay for one more night (I saw in Booking that the place is not reserved). They kept me on the line for 20 minutes and only kept apologizing that they are still looking for an agent who could help me. In the end I contacted Booking directly and got an offer pretty much instantly. It was 30% higher than I paid for the first two nights so I didn’t take it. And right after I got a message from them asking whether they could pass via the apartment on the following morning (we were supposed to check out at 10am) for fixing the A/C in the apartment downstairs (no one mentioned our A/C!). They have a 6 hours window between check out and check in and they have the audacity to disturb their guests before?

Luxorius touch. Penthouse. Beautiful forest wiew with monkeys. Very nice interior , super comfortable balcony ror evening. Very private.

No direct access to the beach.

The place is amazing. We used the penthouse and the experience was unbelievable. Is a perfect place to have relax time and the host was so kindfull and helper. Our place were so clean, with excellent - not good, excellent- internet and WI Fi wireless. Is a great place near from beach, restaurants, supermarkets. It is a good place to take vacations or do home-office.

Very spacious, feels like you are in the jungle!

It is fairly close to a main road so you can sometimes hear the trucks, but over all excellent stay.
