My family and I had a wonderful stay in Bonnie's Cottage. Their communication was great and personable. The house is thoughtfully stocked and furnished. The deck is beautiful and my kids played lot of ping pong in the playroom. The location is idillic. It's beautiful and a close drive to Main Street.

It was very nice and much roomier than we would’ve guessed from looking at the picture. It would be ideal if we had brought more family with us. The location to town was good but the road coming up to the house got mighty narrow when you met cars. The only complaint we had was the lighting in the house was terrible. We just like a well lit house and it was very dimly lit.

My husband and I have stayed in many VRBOs. This was by far the best. The house is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, and extremely well-stocked. Wendi is a phenomenal host. She was so patient with me, and promptly responded to my questions as we planned our trip. The neighborhood and views are beautiful, our family couldn’t have been more comfortable. I highly recommend this listing, and I hope that we can return!

We can't say enough about this vacation rental!! It's located just a few miles from Highlands and is clean and well stocked to accommodate 9 travelers. The hosts are very responsive as well.

Never have I experienced the degree of effort to which Wendi went to assure our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed- really EVERYTHING we needed. It was so nice and so appreciated. The home was beautiful and comfortable and just made for a very pleasant stay for my family and the dog.

Without question, the Highland area is certainly a gem! My family and I make it a point to visit the mountains yearly and our stay at Bonnie Cottage made that possible in the best way! The rooms are very well maintained with ample bedding and nice mattresses. Additionally, the kitchen is very well appointed with many baking/cooking accessories to whip up a quick meal for any travel-weary guests! Best of all, most of our group were fortunate enough to spy a mother bear and cub! I cannot speak enough about the beautiful home and its view, nor the thoughtfulness of the owners! Thank you for sharing your home to give us this wonderful vacation :)

We enjoyed our time in Highlands and had everything we needed for a cozy, relaxing weekend getaway furnished within the home. Very short drive into town. Great views, peaceful area, and clean accommodations. Host was wonderful!

Lovely, homey perfect size and layout for our family. Kids loved the ping pong table! Great area to walk our dogs. So comfortable and relaxing. Great views! Wish we had more time to spend on lovely porches but were involved in wedding activities. Very conveniently located.

Bonnie Cottage was perfect for our weekend stay. We were very comfortable and the owners were very accommodating. It was very clean, convenient to our wedding venue, and so quiet. Lovely home!

Lovely place to stay in a nice location. We enjoyed sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful scenery. The beds were clean and comfortable as were the den furnishings. My husband loved the Library and the comfortable recliners. Coffee and coffee makers were provided including K-cups along with a welcome bag of snacks and bottle of wine. Wendi was very accommodating and promptly replied to all our questions. Would recommend highly and would like to stay there again.

The home was very clean and well stocked. Quaint and well kept. Nicely decorated. My family enjoyed a great two days and used the place as our home base in-between wedding festivities.

This home has everything you need. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. The location is great and the owners were very helpful.

Bonnie Cottage was perfect for my family, including grandchildren ages 7 and under. It was a treat to have the gorgeous view from the deck. We really enjoyed the two huge bookshelves and games in our down time. The bedrooms were huge and worked well for family units. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

Beautiful home and Wendi was extremely helpful responding to questions before our stay as well as during check-in. Her home is well stocked, very clean and nestled on a very quiet road. I would definitely recommend this home to friends and will stay here again if I am in the area.

We had a family wedding at Flat Mountain Farm (which is an awesome venue). We needed a place for the family to stay. This place was beautiful, just so lovely. So much more than we expected that we hated to leave. The hosts were very accommodating. Five stars for sure.

In the middle of a 15 day jeeping and camping (overlanding) adventure, I booked us a cottage in Highlands, NC to get some showers, real beds, laundry facilities, and recovery time, before heading back into the woods. I am sure glad I did, because we all absolutely loved Bonnie Cottage. The location couldn't have been more perfect, being merely minutes from downtown, and at the same time, perched among the mountainside woods in a way that felt almost as secluded as the backcountry dispersed campsites we'd been enjoying along the way. The roads to get there were slightly confusing, but incredibly charming, and it seemed that each time we drove to or from town, one of us had to comment on how nice the drive was. The facilities were everything we hoped for, having enough showers and tubs for three weary, traveling adults and one toddler to quickly get bathed up and head in to civilization for dinner. The washer and dryer worked as expected and the kitchen was a great size and setup, although I must admit, after a week of camp cooking we never really used the kitchen much, opting instead to dine out. The beds would be my only concern, and that's only because my wife and I are used to extremely firm mattresses. If you like a plush and cushy mattress, these beds are going to make you feel like you're sleeping on the clouds. As for the house, it was clean, charming, peaceful, and well kept. We will definitely be recommending this place, and hopefully be back someday.

Excellent place! Tastefully furnished and Decorated beautifully with personally done art. Everything we needed was there. So well equipped. Host was so responsive to any help and questions we requested. We were very comfortable and enjoyed a nice girlfriends getaway weekend .

Bonnie Cottage has quickly become our family’s favorite vacation home when visiting Highlands. Once you pull into the drive way you feel like you are home. The setting is perfect, the house is cozy and well appointed and the owners are so incredibly friendly and wonderful to work with. We love Bonnie Cottage!

We had such a great stay in Highlands for the Christmas tree lighting! Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy this beautiful home! Wendi was great at communicating and left us a welcome bag full of goodies. The house was spacious and cozy. The kids enjoyed the games and reading books. We will definitely stay here again when our travels take us back to this area!

We came with a group of friends for a wedding weekend and had the best time! The house was very clean and had plenty of space and beds to accommodate everyone comfortably. Our stay from start to finish was seamless. Communication was top notch. The home owners have gone above and beyond providing everything we could have possibly needed during our stay. Supplies, snacks, toiletries, games, books and the kitchen is well stocked! I cannot say enough wonderful things about our time in this home. It was lovely. The location and setting are beautiful. The home is spacious yet cozy. Our plans kept changing and the owners were very accommodating. This home is a true gem and we would stay here again and again.

Actually my husband broke his leg and we were unable to go. However our children and grandchildren did attend and had only positive comments about the house.

The house and communication with the owner exceeded my expectations. We had 5 total couples here for a friends wedding and everyone was happy with our choice for lodging even though it was about a 7-8 minute drive from the downtown Main Street. Would definitely stay here again.
