Lovely location in the country nice and quiet . Fantastic staff, so helpful
Good meals.
Room in need of a makeover. Pillow’s definitely need replacing - thin and lumpy. We had a 3 bed room, but only supplied with 1 wine glass & 1 water glass 🤨

Hele ruime kamer. De brouwerij met heerlijke biertjes. Mooie groene omgeving.
Alles buiten de kamer was behoorlijk aan de prijs.
3.5
It was a nice. Breakfast and staff were amazing
Rooms were cold and floors needed cleaning

Nice quiet location,
Pub on the site
It is always my preferred place to stay when in Newcastle
Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned well, old soap left behind in shower, and bathroom radiators don’t seem to work. Could hear tv from next room really loudly.
3.5
Staff were exceptional with booking in and organising a taxi for us. Location was very quiet enabling a good nights sleep.
we didn't have breakfast so cannot comment, but I'm sure it would have been good.
Room was very clean. It was disappointing that both radiators were not working. However we were given 2 electric fan heaters which warmed the room on what was a very cold evening and night.
4.0
Lovely staff, nice food, comfortable beds.
Rooms haven't changed in over 4 years. Decor is very dated, lots of cobwebs, threadbare carpets, needs a complete face lift in my opinion. The bar shuts early even though they have people staying in the accommodation, and no cooked breakfasts during the week 😒
4.5
Lovely welcoming atmosphere a quick overnight stay for the football only a 20 mins drive from the centre and a beautiful semi rural location. We had a light dusting of snow which made our drive home a bit more magical.
Our room was no.9 on the ground floor nice a warm despite the dropping temp outside and the shower was very powerful which was a welcome change from most hotels.
Thank you for your hospitality
Wifi didn’t seem to reach our room
However the mobile signal was 5G so didn’t matter so much.

Keelmans Lodge and cottage accomodation is basic but comfortable. Building maintenance and housekeeping is excellent. Brewery tap bar is great. Beer wins awards. Newburn locality has lots of footpaths and green trails suitable for walking or biking to local villages or along the river Tyne. Bus service into the city is excellent (frequent and easy to access). Bikes available to rent by the hour at fitness centre next door.
Newburn is a rural district with few modern conveniences such as supermarket or restaurants. For good selection take bus into the city.

The welcome was warm and we were escorted and shown our room across the car park.
Back in the pub there were ample choices of cask ales brewed on site and the staff and locals were very friendly.
The restaurant staff were efficient and the food very good.
Would return if needing a quiet place whilst not intending to go out in the evening.
Nothing all good

The pub was great. The staff were wonderful. The nine beers (brewed on premises) I had during and after dinner were mind-blowingly delicious. The subsequent hangover would even get five stars!
More coffee in the room

Staff were good, evening meal was good.
Breakfast was cold and nobody enquired if it was ok, poached egg was the consistency of a boiled egg, surely they noticed, bedroom was full of little flies although they did move us.
