A propos de ce villarental
Villa Poggio - An oasis in the florentine countryside

Our experience from start to finish was wonderful. Our group consisted of 16 people aged 6 months to 71 and the property can handle even larger parties easily. Christiana was very helpful and responsive to any questions that we had. I would not hesitate to rent this property once more if we visit the area again. I highly recommend it.

Our recent family stay at Villa Poggio (Italian for hilltop) was absolutely wonderful in every way. The photos of the views from every window of the villa do not do it justice, they are spectacular.
Cristiana, the owner, was there to meet us and is warm, responsive and welcoming to what was previously her family home. As a special treat she shared with us some of her personal history and the special memories she has of life at Villa Poggio as well as the history of the estate. She and Flavio, the caretaker of the property, were there to make sure that we were comfortable and that every question we had was answered in an attempt to make sure that our stay was memorable. She helped us hire a private chef to prepare and serve a special dinner in the large dining room with a view of the patio which was a special highlight of the trip for our family.
The house has many bedrooms with private bathrooms which makes it comfortable for large groups. The pool is beautiful and accessible and, although shared with other units, we had it to ourselves during our entire stay. The villa is ideally located in the beautiful Tuscan countryside and we spent most of our time exploring the small towns and wineries and avoiding the crowded streets of Florence.
We could not have asked for a more perfect vacation and highly recommend this property for a beautiful, peaceful vacation in one of the loveliest area of the world.

I don't have the words to describe how wonderful Villa Poggio is! The perfect location--just far enough from Florence to feel you're in the countryside but close enough that it's easy to get to. The villa is beautiful, inside and out, and each room has special touches to make it unique. We loved the outside spaces and had Prosecco on the terrace almost every night. The dining table is huge and we could all gather there each night to share stories and laughter. The views from one side of the house are of Florence--I could see the Duomo in the distance from my bedroom, and from the other you see the Tuscan hillside. And Cristiana, our host, is the kindest, most patient, helpful person I've ever met. She has a sincere desire to ensure your stay at her beautiful family home is as wonderful as possible. If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would! And if I am ever fortunate enough to go back to Florence, I will definitely book Villa Poggio!

Villa Poggio was the perfect place for our family to enjoy each others company for a week. It had more than enough room for the 15 of us and a pool for the children (and adults). We had a private chef cook dinner on our last night. Sitting outside at night seeing the lights of Florence was wonderful.
Cristiana is a lovely women who made us feel welcome. She is very proud of her home and her other properties. My most enjoyable time was talking to her.

The Villa Poggio was perfect for our family of 17 - roomy, clean, beautiful, an oasis of calm after a long day of sightseeing in Florence - the pool a refreshing respite from the heat. Our hostess could not have been more helpful, even driving one of our group to the local ER for a badly cut/broken finger! She arranged for a cook to prepare/serve our dinner and she also arranged for our breakfast.. It was a complete and fabulous vacation, a wonderful experience to share as a family. I would unconditionally recommend the Villa Poggio!

I started corresponding with Cristiana over three years ago in regards to staying at her gorgeous property. The pandemic delayed our trip and we finally we able to make it happen this year.
Cristiana went above and beyond in ensuring that everything went perfectly with our stay.
First of all, her property is beyond anything any of us expected. The incredible villa stands on a stately property that has views that are so breathtaking that each day was a unique experience for all 8 of us.
Cristiana recommended an incredible chef (Alessandro from Chef Tales) for our two private dinners which were simply divine. Alessandro and his staff were so flexible and wonderful that we are still missing him so much already!
Cristiana also recommend the most wonderful driver (Giovanni) for us who was basically our own personal tour guide. He took us to places that were not always the most typical tourist areas which helped us see a whole other side of the gorgeous Tuscan region. We made two winery visits at his recommendation and loved them so much that we can’t wait to receive all the wine the we ordered to be shipped home!
Giovanni is a gem who is also super reasonably priced so definitely hire him to drive you around.
This was probably the best vacation of my life mainly due to Cristiana’s incredible kindness, warmness, and absolute hospitality and the house will leave you speechless!
Returning back home after our wonderful time in Italy is already so hard that I’m starting to plan my next trip back :)

Words cannot be able to describe how incredible our stay at Villa Poggio was. We went for my father-in-laws 80th birthday celebration - 15 of us between the ages of 3 and 80. The villa and it's views are absolutely spectacular, but more important was the kindness and attentiveness of our hosts who went above and beyond. Cristiana ensured that everything was prepared for our arrival, she recommended a private chef for some dinners and a cooking class and went out of her way to help find us a chef to prepare a Passover Sedar. Cristiana's children, Irene and Enriquo even gave us a private tour of their winery and shared the history of the property. The villa is incredibly spacious for large families with outdoor space for the children to run around and play soccer. Everyone was just as happy to spend time relaxing in the villa as they were to tour Florence and the Tuscany region.
We were truly sad when it was time to check out, not only to leave Tuscany but to say farewell to our new friends.

Our family of 16 (ages 6 to 80!) had a once in a lifetime trip to Tuscany, Italy. We stayed at Villa Poggio for a week and were welcomed by our amazing hostess Cristiana! She is attentive, kind and sweet. Before and during the trip she provided wonderful advise and suggestions. She was extremely helpful and communicated well throughout. She even facilitated making appointments for all of us to have Covid testing prior to returning to the US.
The villa was spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to have their own rooms and bathrooms. The views are absolutely incredible of Florence! The pool was an added bonus for the children!
The villa was a great central location for day trips to Pisa, Siena, Lucca, Montepulciano, San Gimignano and a quick 15 minute drive to Florence.
Cristiana provided us with complimentary wine from their very own vineyard which was enjoyed by all. She recommended Chef Alessandro who came to the Villa to create a special birthday dinner for our nephew. We were all so impressed that we had him come back to prepare dinner for our last night.
To top it all off, Cristiana and her son provided a tour of their 14th century facilities where they continue their active winemaking!

We have just come back from a wonderful holiday with a large group of friends at Villa Poggio. We had the most incredible time - the house is huge with beautiful gardens and the stunning views are hard to describe. Cristiana is a wonderful host and helped us with every we needed. We can't wait to go back! Thank you Cristiana

This is an incredible property with extremely gracious and helpful owners. The villa is tucked away on an incredible estate in the Tuscany hills overlooking Florence. There are fantastic views in every direction. We enjoyed watching the fireworks on New Year's eve from our balcony. There were 10 of us in our party (4 adults, 6 children) and the villa had plenty of room to spare. It's very spacious with 4-5 levels of living space, a good sized kitchen, long dining room table, and stocked with wine and olive oil for purchase that is made right on the property.
There is a small town within walking distance for your daily espresso, small grocery items, bakery and restaurant. Within about 10-15 minute driver there is a larger supermarket with everything you will need. Florence is approximately a 20 minute drive away and 30 minutes to the airport. There a plenty of excellent (non-touristy) restaurants within 15 minutes of the villa.
Cristiana and her family are quite lovely and make you feel right at home. They even arranged a cello rental for my daughter, gave us a great tour of the larger property, winery, and more. We had a few minor issues and questions during our stay which were resolved very quickly. Overall, this was the best experience we've had on VRBO as everything exceeded our expectations. The pictures can't do justice to the beauty of this quiet and picturesque property. I sure hope we are able to return here again!
