Staff was excellent, restaurant was really good

Shared kitchen was dirty, the fridge had items with mold, and the offsite parking was double what was advertised online.

The breakfast was REALLY good. Many different types of fruits, nice coffee, pastries, alfajor com dulce de leche, very much appreciated! The fact they have bikes to use and explore the area. They make you feel like home!

The location is good in case you need something close to the bus station, which was convenient for me to stay one night. But center of Ubatuba is not a nice place for staying longer. I also did not feel very safe in the area in case I wanted to go out after sunset. When being a solo woman, it is always important to be cautious with this.

The staff is amazing. Lorena and Sergio are very welcoming and helpful. They clearly love what they do and are driven to help you in anyway they can, including giving great tips about the city. The food is also amazing. My girlfriend is a veggie and she absolutely loved the eggplant lasagna. The breakfast is great too,with many options and the great juices that Sergio makes.

The couple bedroom could be a bit better. One of the big drawers broke when I opened and it couldn't be used. The bed was fine, but the middle foot was tilted which I suspect was causing the noise. Finally, there was a little bit of spider web on the ceiling, which was cause for some concern, but we found no spiders. None of this was a big problem and I'm sure they will fix these issues.

Very nice staff, they helped me as I dont speak Portugese. Good hostel atmosphere as well and great breakfast.

I took a double bed room. For the price I paid, I was expecting a much higher quality. First, the double room doesnt have a window, is very tiny and you dont have a private bathroom. The air clim is old and very noisy. I didnt feel confortable there. The room is close to thé dormitory and you need to cross the shoes people left in front of your door to access thé bathroom. Thé beds were not confortable, specially thé pillows, my neck still hurts a lot from the night. I didnt have thé privacy and comfort I was looking for by paying for a double room. The commun bathroom is Always full of people. Overall, I believe several things need to be improved to make the stay confortable. I can not recommend this hostel yet.

I loved the atmosphere of Alma Zen, everything is beautifully arranged and the owners Sergio & Lorena are very helpful and kind. They truly helped me with anything I needed and beyond. I can only recommend to stay at Alma Zen and enjoy their hospitality and great breakfast :)

A very nice hostel the centre of Ubatuba, super close to the bus stations, the beach and supermarkets! The hosts are so kind and can help you with everything and give good tips about where to go! The breakfast is also very nice and free coffee on arrival was a nice touch.

If you have any allergies to dogs or cats you're probably going to suffer here.
