I had a friend tell us about this cute cabin in Angel Fire. We wanted to do our due diligence and looked up past guest reviews. I hesitated because it seemed like there was an ongoing problem with the hot water heater. My friend contacted the owner and was told that when they replaced it, it was a defective item. They then replaced that unit and all is now well. I respect my friend and so I decided to book. Everything turned out great. There were six of us and we never had any problems with the water heater or anything else for that matter, plenty of hot water for all of us. I am glad they got that fixed. Check in was easy and we did not need to see anyone in person. We enjoyed the deer that come on the property each day. We were prepared with some deer feed. It was a fun time having them eat from your hand, or little bowl. We were at a family reunion in Taos and although it was a little drive between the two, it was really worth the drive up into the cool mountains. We stopped by the lake just up the road where there were lots of Canada geese and people fishing. I am not sure what the rules are there, if you need a license etc., but it looked fun. It looks like you can rent a kayak there. We are not mountain bikers, but I guess they use the chair lifts to take mountain bikes up to the top of the mountain and then they ride down to the bottom. It looks like fun if you know what you are doing. I suspect they rent bikes as well for that. We were there to relax not recreation, but it is nice to have options. Anyway we had a great stay, no issues, just lots of fun. We liked the western decor. You can tell the owners must like horses. We plan to stay here next time we return.

I booked based on previous reviews and this cabin is in line with what you read. It's a great layout for families with the 2 queen rooms down and master/loft upstairs (loft/office came in very handy). At 1700 sq feet its just the right amount of space, the kitchen is laid out well with an open concept that allows parents to cook and maintain view of kids/tv/guests. Location: This cabin is ideal in the winter as this is in the valley and roads and driveway are mostly flat. It is located in a terrific neighborhood with each cabin/home sitting on 1/2 acre or more lots so it feels very private. It snowed numerous times during our stay and with AWD we had no problems. The driveway is privately plowed quickly following snow storms, Morgan the plow driver was even nice enough to allow me to move my car so he could completely clean off the driveway. Mechanical: Central heat is a must in winter and this one worked great, we were able to stay very comfortable. The toilets and plumbing get clogged too easily, so be aware. Water heater is newish but randomly turns off (becomes unlit) so you can easily relight using the modern thermostat. The cabin has fairly new vinyl windows that kept things comfortable even on sub zero nights which we had a couple of during out stay. Summary: Its not fancy but this cabin has lots of Pros, I would stay here again and recommend it for most people with reasonable expectations. It's one of the best values in Angel Fire in my opinion.

Saw past issues no hot water. Assumed it was fixed. Stayed (4nights, 5 days) After arrival, my brother, certified plumber checked the water, no hot water! Called the # to get the issue addressed. Were told the prior guest had the same issue, but they were able to get enough hot water for a quick shower. She said to boil water for showers. We had 4 adults and two kids aged 5 and 1. No way was that going to work! Rep. told us she would refund us half our money. We should have known about this issue prior to arrival. She said the owner from Texas was going to bring a new tank over the weekend. My brother offered to help install if the owner could get it quickly. Next day, rep. called. Reiterated we have no hot water to shower, wash dishes, wash clothing, or wash our hands. The rep said she had the authority to provide a full refund. With that said we thought okay we can make it work. Left on Sunday morning. On Monday I looked at our statement and we were only refunded $114.00! That’s not even one day stay at that place. Needless to say, we were not happy. I called the rep but at no surprise no answer. I sent her a text message and she replied that she did everything she could and to not be rude. I said you lied to us; we want our money. I also received automated text messages about our stay and provided the details in which I was told there would be a report submitted. This all happened on 3/18/2024. As of today 4/2/2024, we have received no answer and no additional refund.

We loved the layout of the cabin, great location to the ski resort, very comfortable and very well stocked. Loved having 2 downstair bedrooms for those who don't handle stairs so well. We would highly recommend this cabin... HOWEVER, we had NO HOT water on the 2nd day of our stay. I reached out to the service number who responded immediately in text that someone from the local staff would come to resolve the issue. NO ONE EVER CAME, in spite of my calling and sending texts 4 times that day and the next day. Each time they'd respond, "we will surely reach out to you for updates regarding the hot water issue." Hot water is a basic necessity in the winter time. We ended up leaving a day early. Very frustrating that no one ever followed up with us.

Our family of 5 for perfect! The location to the slopes was incredible. The home was stocked with everything you’d need-spices, pancake mix, coffee, etc. it’s even prettier in person. We got lots of snow while visiting and that made it even better! Thanks so much for opening up your home for us! We will be back!
