Great location but a few issues as noted. For the price paid, it would have also appreciated some basic items like salt,
Great location and facilities.
Beds were not made up and were not comfortable with single layer mattress. We were told we could not use a second mattress without being charged for extra people staying. Also there were two mistakes in the location details - first for the key pick up map address (link provided sent me to the wrong place) and then the address provided for the property itself was also given wrongly at key pick-up, which caused a problem with taxi driver.

Lovely venue but check in process very difficult especially if you don’t have a car
Property was very nice, clean and felt authentic.
A little far out. Check in was awful - check in was several miles away from house. Address was sent only in Japanese - difficult to find. Checkin time between 2-6 pmvery short

Amazing traditional house with modern amenities. I would come again.
The house is simply amazing. Old, wooden walls and floors covered in tatami mats, but modern amenities, like kitchen and bathroom with a tub, nice, comfortable. You are also provided with japanese robes. The house is more than spacious, impeccably clean and very traditionally furnished (meaning no furniture at all, except for some floor-level chairs and a small coffee table. The 'garden' is about 3m2 big, but cutely decorated with a stone lantern, and you can open the windows/glass-wall to merge the outside and inside in one space. There is no view, as the fence is at least 2m high and non seethrough, but this gives you enough light while maintaining privacy. The two bedrooms are traditional ryokan like sleeping spaces with only tatami mats on the floor, and japanese closets containing the bedding. For us, the owners prepared the bedding befoure our arrival, folded nicely on the floor, waiting to be deployed. The bathroom has a semi-large tub, big enough for me and my wife to fit in while sitting, and the bathroom has a beautiful wooden atmosphere with a view of a cute tiny private walled-in garden space, so we made our own 'onsen'-like evening there. I would love to stay longer (despite traditional sleeping not being as comfortable as a modern matress), as I loved the house and especially Kanazawa itself, but unfortunately our limited time in Japan did not allow for it.
I was hoping for the garden to be large enough to sit outside and have a beer, unfortunately that's not the case, it's only big enough to be viewed from the house. It's not even meant to be stepped in. The location is slightly removed from the 'centre' but a bus station is approx 7 minutes walk away. Not great, not terrible.

Sweet, Memorable, Traditional and Pretty Authentic.
Our stay in Ryu Tabi-Ne was quite an eye-opening experience. Unlike many modern contemporary machiya we have stayed in, this house was a traditional, lovely, beautiful two-storey machiya with its own mini bamboo yards. The lower level of the wooden house features a traditional genkan entrance, a well-equipped, spacious kitchen on the left and a traditional, gas-heated tatami living cum dining area on the rear area of the house. Just beside the kitchen is a conventional Japanese two-room bathroom - a large sink or laundry area with a comfortable-sized hinoki-clad shower room completed with a fully automated bath in one room, a smart Japanese toilet with a mini sink in another. Up through the steep flight of stairs are the two tatami bedrooms, segregated from each other by just a pair of fusuma sliding doors. Futon beds were not the fluffiest we have slept it, but it was comfortable enough for us back sleepers. Though there were not much extra amenities to boast about, the basics were generously provided. We were grateful enough for the room slippers, shoe horn, hairdryer, hangers, hanging rack, laundry basket, iron, torch light, compact mirror and even beautiful padded haori jackets (!) provided. We particularly enjoyed lounging and lazing in the tatami living room while watching the snow pile up in the yard. We had a lot of fun trying to lay and make the futon beds too. And the privilege of being able to prepare our light meals in the kitchen before our day begins or after our day ends, had definitely made us feel homely. Would highly recommend Ryu Tabi-Ne for adventure, quirk-seeking individuals.
Perhaps it is worth noting that a physical check-in is absolutely required, and that it had to be done in an entirely different premise (a short, 4-minute walk from Kanazawa Station) before the evening ends. Guests with a late schedule like us could try to make special arrangements as the host proved to be exceptionally kind, understanding and patient to accommodate ours. Also, something to consider if you are staying during winter: As the building structure is quite traditional, insulation of the house is pretty poor. We were having trouble getting the heaters to work at their very best, so we were constantly feeling cold. Excessive use of heaters, ventilator and hairdryer all together on the other hand could cause a possible electricity trip, thus we had use them sparingly.

Authentic Luxury Ryokan
Everything! It is well designed with very kind and friendly staff. We would recommend doing the dinner class with them too.
The futon was a little on the thin side but definitely added to the authenticity of the place
