This unit was in good location. But that is it!
The unit was dirty. Bathrooms were full of mould . The ceiling in main bathroom was covered in mould. The shower leaked into hall way & wet the carpet.there was no remote for TV in the main bedroom. No blind in the ensuite & still hair on the floor in the shower & near the toilet from previous users.
The second bedroom blind was broken.
The sliding doors wouldn’t lock. They were broken.
The spa area was filthy. Rubbish & mould everywhere . Lounging & cushions were dirty. Then to top it off we had to strip the beds before we left. .
Never in all my travels had we had to do this p, especially after paying a service cleaning fee.
My advice is to steer clear of this place. Plenty of other options nicer, cleaner & better pricing.
The owners of this property need to step up & fix these issues & give this unit some TLC !

Great Location and views , clean and well maintained home. Jacuzzi was great and clean but chlorine levels were excessive and dangerous. Kitchen, dining and balcony were nice and comfortable , could have done with extra bathroom. Overall very pleasant experience and close to shops and marina

Last minute family escape for Christmas. Great location & easy walk to town centre, shops & marina. Plenty of space so the 5 of us never felt on top of one another. Check in & out detail & instructions easy to follow. Everything you need of great family holiday.Some minor repairs required due to the age of the building but it didn't affect our stay at all. Clean, tidy & what was advertised would definitely stay again.

There was a chipped coffee cup in cupboard.
The carpet needs a good wash. There was not enough toilet paper supplied for 8 people. We had less than full rolls in bathrooms and only one spare.
The shampoo and conditioner dispensers were all but empty.
The cover over spa filter came off when the spa was turned on.

Fantastic apartment in a very central location. Would definitely stay here again. Great value for money. Only downside was that the glass ceiling above the stairs did leak when it rained. None of my gear was damaged, however would be best if it was repaired to prevent any damage to the property. Thanks for having us!

Parking quite good except when others illegally parked underneath.
Cleaning needed attention: balcony, under the lounge, in the room corners, blowfly on the windows, outside front entrance to the building was disgusting, blind louvres needed dusting, underneath the microwave dirty, various marks on the walls and carpet.
Maintenance needed: most blind slats could not be tilted (broken),
Microwave oven frame loose, fridge light not working, bathroom vanity lights not working, most staircase lights not working, walk-in wardrobe light flickering, kitchen bench light cover missing.
Missing: salt (lots of pepper!)
Required: scissors, a decent water jug, a clock.

The photos on the website over-sold the property. The property is tired and in need of money spent on maintenance both inside and out - broken furniture on the balcony and the deck was untidy. To be charged $200 for cleaning was outrageous. We were expecting the property to be spotless - it wasn't.

Booking was a breeze, access was straight forward, property is in a very convenient location to mariner and main shops strip, lift to top floor was very convenient especially with 3 little ones, and front door to apartment is literally right in front of the lift doors. Views from main balcony and from terrace on top floor looking out are too good. Highly recommend for family stays

We had issues with the following
• General cleanliness of apartment was of poor quality
- areas around door handles and light fittings were dirty
- bedside tables were dusty, as was ledge under main dining table
- a large cobweb on ceiling cornice above TV
- cockroach baits? visible beside refrigerator
- bathtub was dirty and we cleaned it before use
- laundry – area behind door and around washing machine build up of grime
- build up of leaf litter and sludge under patio planters and around corner drain
- most horizontal blinds very dusty/and or dirty
- window ledges very dirty and/or dusty
• Furniture and other resources broken or tattered
- Outdoor (dark) chairs on main balcony -webbing broken and loose
- Dining chair – rattan webbing has a large hole
- Pots and pans – battered and no longer non stick
- Blinds – many with broken rods – unable to set to privacy or horizontal open settings
- Dining room sliding door – rubber has come loose
- Light fitting above jug – wires dangling down
- Main bedroom floor lamp – light bulb broken and has sharp splintered edges
- Rooftop day beds in poor condition
- Lounge furniture – couch facing TV – underneath black webbing/cover has deteriorated and is dangling down
- Shower screen in main bathroom is cracked and shard is exposed and will soon shatter/break off
- Two lights above main bathroom mirror not working
- Two lights above ensuite mirror not working
- Drinking glass – had large crack – we had to throw it out
- Outdoor mats worn and tattered – need replacing
• General cleanliness and health/sanitation issues
- Ceiling of ensuite bathroom covered in spotting of black mould
• Rooftop area
- Build up of leaflitter and black sludge in most corners (especially in front of spa) – up to 75 ml thick. We spent ¾ hour hosing, brushing and sweeping this area. Every drainage point was filled with debris and sludge and needed to be cleared.
- Spa - Cover that goes over the filter – clips are broken and it then floats into water area
- Many jets in spa are not working
- Hose – nozzle fitting is broken and not able to be re attached THERE IS MORE BUT IT WONT FIT INTO THIS BOX

We had a wonderful stay. Apartment was clean, jacuzzi warm on arrival. Great outdoor rooftop area, though only one light worked so not able to use after dark. Also the blinds in most rooms where broken so unable to close/open. Property was in a great location.

The location of the unit was fantastic as it is close by to all the attractions and local shops. The general condition of the unit was quite poor. There were water leaks in 3 spots of the living area and we needed to use buckets to contain the water - definitely should not be hired in this condition.Also broken tiles in the bathroom, rooftop could not be used because of how poorly maintained it was. Spa did not get used once. Broken table, stained mattress etc - seems neglected.

On arrival no keys in letter box had to wait 40min for a woman to come to let us in.... REDICULOUS $2,400 for 3 nights on a intersection roundabout traffic noise was insane...

Pics in listing don't show broken tub.Not very clean - bath tub had to be cleaned before we could use, carpet stained, balcony and roof dirty, glass not cleaned, food left in freezer, junk in drawers.Upkeep - no lights on roof worked, fairy lights broken, roof leaked (bucket provided at least), beds absolutely horrible, a/c struggled, tub fitting broken.

I recently stayed at The Harbour View Penthouse for a much needed girls getaway and 60th birthday combined. I was beyond disappointed as the premises did not live up to the reviews.When we arrived there were buckets collecting water at the front door and under the stairs leading up to the blood splattered stair way to the dirty BBQ area where the slime filled water feature is, but wait there’s more there are holes in the roof from water damage, the walls were filthy, there was hair in the microwave, a build of dust and grease all around the microwave, beside the fridge was dirty from food spillage, the clock on the wall hands on it, the oven had food crumbs, the glass doors had food on them that had been there that long it had mound growing on it, the sofa bed had dirty sheets and a massive urine stain on the mattress, the verandah had to be cleaned by us as it was that sticky from spilt drink we had to hose it off, there were cigarette butts in the pot plants ash from cigarettes all over the outdoor table, food all over the blinds in the kitchen, the blinds in the main and second bedroom did close so we were awake at sun up the list goes on, the place was definitely not COVID CLEANED, when we rang the property manager to let them know they didn’t care and after numerous calls and emails there has been very little communication or even an apology.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY to anyone there are much nicer places for the same or less money that are clean.

Considering we paid $483pn (not in peak season), we were really disappointed. We booked a 'luxury apartment' for a special occasion and it certainly wasn't what was advertised.On arrival, we couldn't get in as the car park remote didn't work. The spa was unclean, didn't heat and broken parts were held together by cable ties! Two of the bedroom blinds did not work which meant we could not darken the room or have privacy. We had to get two buckets and towels to catch leaks from the ceiling and it was obvious this has been an ongoing problem.When I called Shane, the owner of Luxury stays Port Stephens, he was quite dismissive and just said the owner of the unit knew about the issues and the only alternative would have been to cancel the booking. We felt that this would have been a good option for us if we had been informed of the issues, as we would have booked somewhere else.After sending an email with photos and a list of the issues so the owner could see, we simply received an email offering $300 compensation (not even one night) and saying they look forward to us coming again!We would definitely not recommend this property or the agency that looks after it.

The apartment was very spacious to house our seven guests. The kitchen accessories need to be updated. Eg saucepans etc. also to house 8 you need 8 chairs around the dining table. Overall a very nice apartment and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were excellent . Aaron was very helpful with maintenance and ElleRae was very professional.

Unsatisfactory! Blinds dusty and didn’t work! SPA DIDNT WORK PROPERLY! Verandas dirty, gave us black feet, cigarette butts... just grotty in general.. had a spa man turn up 10:30 in morning don’t know why the water wasn’t changed and spa not functioning properly.... On arrival no keys in letter box had to wait 40min for a woman to come to let us in.... REDICULOUS $2,400 for 3 nights on a intersection roundabout traffic noise was insane...

The flat is spacious and very conveniently located. Good for 3 couples as has 3 queen beds. Good parking and easy access too. Very nice undercover eating area off the lounge. It needs more plates and cutlery as only 6 so have to wash up after each meal. Downside was there is a lot of traffic noise as located next to a roundabout on busy road. Also the flat needs a good spring clean both inside and out especially outside as quite dirty in areas. Spa on the roof was lovely with great views north.

We were 3 couples keen to getaway, the location of the apartment was amazing so close to restaurants and shops , the verandah of the apartment was not clean we had to mop it twice , there were only 6 forks in the apartment I know that sounds trivial but it was a pain because we ate in most times and had to keep pulling forks out the dishwasher and clean them , the rooftop was lovely but I would recommend to the owners to put a umbrella up there so can can utilise the rooftop more , overall really enjoyed our stay and would stay again .

We had a lovely few days away in Nelson’s Bay. The apartment was the perfect holiday treat, the rooftop jacuzzi was definitely the highlight! The apartment was well-maintained other than a leak we were pre-warned about. Fabulous stay, would definitely recommend.
