This is the second time we have stayed, and it has been heaven both times! Breakfast in the sun overlooking the lake, an easy walk to shops and food and nature everywhere! We feel relaxed and recharged. Thanks to Rodney and Denise for being wonderful hosts.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage by the lake! The house is gorgeous, very clean and the view is fantastic! We especially appreciated all the thoughtful touches left by Rodney and Denise, even some for our toy poodle - she loved them! All in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay, thank you

This is our second year staying at this property for our annual girls weekend away. We love it so much we have already booked again for next year! Location is perfect, cottage has everything you need, beds are super comfy and Rodney is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Happy with our stay in the cottage, clean, warm and located close to the Lake. Lovely autumn weather and beautiful fine dining in the Lake house. Couldn't ask for more.

Three of us went to Daylesford for three nights. The home was cosy and beautifully clean and all three beds were wonderfully comfortable . We were warm as toast and everything we needed was there. Location with views of the lake was spectacular, and a coffee shop just down the hill. Thank you so much.

3 girls who have known each other for more than 45 years flew in from different states for a girl's weekend. This house was more than perfect, The house. The location. the view of the lake. The heating. The comfy beds and more. We loved the house and Daylesford so much we will be back again next year.

We adored Rodney and Denise’s property. It had the most perfect lake side location with direct access to the walk around the lake. The views from the deck in the morning were sublime and the rooms were all beautifully decorated. It truly was a wonderful home and even better than the photos! Rodney and Denise were excellent hosts and easy to communicate with throughout. Would highly recommend and we hope to stay again!

A great getaway and a return visit to one of our favourite spots on the lake at Daylesford. 'Lake Daylesford Cottage' is a perfect location to enjoy the peace and beauty of the area but close enough to the town to also enjoy the cafes and shops. This is our fourth visit to this cottage I think, and we hope to return again later this year. Highly recommended.

All was very good except the beds they are all very uncomfortable, too lumpy, too hard. I would have expected a coffee machine - at least a POD machine. We stay in many AirB&B’s or Stayz and most have coffee machines. Great property with views of the lake and nice lawn running down to the walking track that circles the lake.

Great place to go to unwind, relax and reinvigorate. The home was beautiful.

This property was was the perfect place for our annual girls weekend. Location is stunning, beds comfy, kitchen has everything you need for meal prep and so many books! The hosts left a list of local places to check out (we didn’t get to them all but gave it a good go) and easy to communicate with. We have booked again for next year we loved it so much!

Majestic property backing onto the beautiful Daylesford Lake the home was just wonderful. Ample living areas and loads of character provided us with a relaxing stay. The owners left helpful hints on local places to visit and we took them up on most which added to our trip. Just a wonderful experience overall.

Walking in to the property, you have the most wonderful view of the lake. There is direct access to the walking path which is really convenient. We had everything we needed in the house for a wonderful relaxing week. Our dogs enjoyed themselves too.

A lovely place to stay, warm and cosy, with a very homey feel. We three ladies had a fabulous weekend, even though it was foggy, damp and a bit cold out. Cottage is in a wonderful location and was very clean. Thank you Rodney and Denise for the fabulous communications, welcome notes and all the little extras.

I couldn't fault this property. Very smooth check in and out process. The cottage itself is so beautiful, the lake views are perfect. Having the open fire during winter was great. The cottage has all the amenities you require. Clean rooms and a spacious ensuite! Our dog had a lovely time, the spacious fenced backyard was perfect for him. Walking distance to local shops and walking tracks, including the lake circuit. Good options of books and DVDs for entertainment. Would happily stay again!

Could not be better, location was perfect beautiful view of the lake from our accommodation. Spotless in every way would love to stay again. Rodney was the perfect host, thank you.

We have stayed at this cottage on a number of occasions and love the view of the lake - it has direct access to the lake walking track and is also only a short walk to the lake coffee shop - we travel with our dog so the large backyard is perfect for it to play in - we hope to return again in the future.

Beautiful tranquil pet friendly cottage. Comfortable bed, very cozy & homey cottage. Amazing location. Only cons were poor mobile reception and lack of internet reception on the phone around the lake area compounded by that there is no wifi at the property. Whilst i do not feel a smart TV is necessary for a holiday, a non faulty one is....channel/source mode constantly jumps spontaneously which made watching the Australian Open finals very difficult as the TV would do its own thing & we couldnt change the channel back or keep it steady on the one channel. However the hosts were very good with communication and helpful. Rodney & Denise made the place very welcoming & thoughtful so am sure the TV issue will not be a hard issue to rectify in the future. Our pooches had a glorioua time which so direct access for beautiful walks. We had a lovely time & would look forward to rebooking.
