The apartment was everything as advertised. Very quiet neighborhood plus convenient for everything I wanted access to. This was my first try with VRBO. I will do it again.

My sister and I loved this place. It was beautifully and lovingly decorated. I enjoy cooking, and the kitchen had everything I needed (in fact, it was a nicer kitchen than I have at home). It was so comfortable and welcoming: fireplace, bookshelves for browsing, throws for snuggling. I would have happily stayed for months. And the owner is a lovely person who made us feel right at home. Even the neighbors were friendly!! Seriously cannot find a single negative thing to say about our stay. It was wonderful. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood, a short drive from lots of fun KC activities.

My daughter stayed here for a summer internship. Anita could not have been kinder or more helpful.

I don't know where to begin...everything about this property and the owner is nothing short of amazing. We're from TX, and I was very nervous about my son staying in Kansas for school, alone. After speaking with the owner from the first conversation, I felt nothing but relief. Once we arrived and I met the owner and saw the property in person, I was in awe. The online photos do not do justice for all the details of the apartment. The location is GREA8! This is truly a home away from home....a gem....I love this place....you will not be disappointed. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that my son also loved Lenexa, and he isn't normally impressed by much. This is definitely my go to place for Kansas...all you need is your luggage...the apartment is fully equipped, and close to shopping and restaurants.

I found Anita to be a warm and welcoming host. She made sure everything was to my liking during my week long stay. The neighborhood is beautiful and in a favorable location. I particularly enjoyed the kitchen area stocked with everything you may need and the gas fireplace. I felt warm and secure there.

We have stayed several times and it's always a pleasure. Anita is an outstanding hostess.

The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had most things you would need for cooking, and the apartment was very clean. We could not get the gas fireplace to work and did not have time to address the issue with the owner, but we found a space heater which sufficed. The living room area and work desk were comfortable and attractive. We would stay again!

We absolutely loved this place. Beautiful basement suite, with everything you need, quick trip to the grocery store and your set, extremely comfortable. You’re literally 20 min drive to anywhere in Kansas City. Anita was very accommodating. We will definitely stay there on our next visit toK.C.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this home, while visiting family over Thanksgiving. The apartment is beautifully designed, very clean, with every comfort you can think of. It is obvious that the owner has put much thought and effort into everything, (which is not always the case with other properties where we have stayed.) We will definitely return to this very nice home-away-from-home!

We just finished a six weeks stay in this beautiful apartment. It is spacious, and does not feel at all like a basement apartment, plus it looks out to a very nice neighborhood. Everything we needed was there, the apartment was very clean and comfortable. The location was great for us - easy to get anywhere we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was wonderful and the fireplace provided warmth and a great atmosphere. The owner was excellent to work with, even provided us with a beautiful Christmas tree. There isn't anything I can think of that could make this a more comfortable, inviting place to stay. We will be booking again for a future stay.

A beautifully designed walk-out basement apartment with double door entry, this unique property has truly provided a delightful and a welcoming environment during my stay in Kansas City. It has been a wonderful home away from home. The apartment's tasteful, comfortable furnishings and its beautiful sculptures and other art pieces clearly made for an exceptional environment. Certainly preferable to any hotel room I could have stayed in, this was a homey, true find! I was visiting Kansas City after moving away over 50 years ago, here to see a close friend. The location of this property in a beautiful family residential area, close to excellent shopping and freeway access makes this a great place to stay for anyone wanting to enjoy the sights and venues Kansas City offers. As my first Home Away experience, I give both Home Away and this property a 5 star rating! The property owner, who normally lives in the main part of the home, was out of town during my stay. She graciously had a friend meet me to give me keys, walk me through, and answer any questions I had. The kitchen was well stocked with seasonings, staples, and even a coffee grinder. There is nothing better than to start the day with a great, fresh ground, cup of coffee! It's a luxury I like to enjoy at home, but I certainly didn't plan on packing my own coffee grinder! There were plenty of towels, extra pillows, an iron and ironing board, and yes - a blow dryer tucked away for visitor use. The owner had even stocked the refrigerator with several soda choices. Everything I needed was here - and more! Although I wasn't able to meet the property owner this time around, we kept in touch through Home Away messaging. Kind and accommodating, I knew she was someone I'd immediately like - a person I'd be proud to call a friend. I can say without a doubt, that I will request to book this Home Away property the next time I come to Kansas City. It was a great choice for me, and I'm confident you would feel the same way.
