3 bedroom 3 bathroom town house in the heart of the Loire castles
Nouveau en 2023, climatisation dans toutes les chambres. Courts séjours acceptés à partir de 2 nuits. Cette adorable maison de vacances pour 6/7 personnes, avec ses 3 chambres dont 1 équipée d'une TV avec Play station 2 avec jeux de tous âges et lecteur DVD pour les enfants, ainsi qu'une climatisation dans la chambre du haut, ses 3 salles d'eau avec douches et WC pour un maximum d'intimité, cuisine Américaine aménagée et une pièce à vivre, le tout dans un décor soigné et cosy, et bien qu'en centre ville avec tous les commerces, vous trouverez un lieu calme et apaisant. Toutes les fenêtres des chambres sont au sud et ne donnent sur aucune route, vous serez les voisins pour quelques jours de la dernière demeure de Léonard de Vinci 'le Clos Lucé', où il recevait souvent la visite de son ami, le roi François 1er. Le Gite se situe dans la rue la plus visitée d'Amboise (circulation en majorité piétonne) en effet, elle relie le Clos Lucé au Château, en chemin vous pourrez vous arrêter pour regarder les maisons troglodytes encore habitées aujourd'hui. Vous pourrez également prendre des sentiers pédestre qui passent au pied du gite, ainsi que le tracé de la Loire à Vélo. Amboise est le point central pour la visite des Châteaux des la Loire : Chenonceaux, Chambord, Cheverny, Blois, Chaumont et ses fabuleux jardins, Ussé (le Château de la Belle aux bois dormant), et bien d'autres encore.... A découvrir !

Roomy and quiet apartment is just steps from fabulous Clos de Luce, and minutes away from the bustling area of Amboise, lots of restaurants, grocery, services. Apartment has lots of charm, very quiet, comfy. Better outfitted than most VRBO in France, has everything you need! Not much public transport, so do be prepared to walk if you don't have a car. Taxis hard to get, Uber nonexistent. Train station is about 1.25 mi away. But getting around Loire area is easy by train once you get there. Be sure to catch the Friday/Sunday market!

We thought this place was much more charming in person than in photos! We loved the uniqueness of this property which was on different levels. Each of the 3 bedrooms had its own bathroom which is impossible to find in France. Walked a few minutes to town which is super close and it’s right next to chateau de clos Lucé. Great place to explore in and around Amboise.

Perfect location and place for our family. Excellent communication from Alex prior to our arrival. Didn't need to communicate with her while we were there, as the house had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at this Amboise home! Steps away from Leonardo da Vinci's chateau, easy walking distance to center city, and separate bedrooms and baths for all of our family all made our stay easy and relaxing. Our hosts were so attentive and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again!

We had 3 couples traveling and all of us had plenty of private space as well communal gathering. We ate wonderful breakfasts in, before setting out in our car (close car park was very easy), for the conveniently located sites.
Then, always a pleasure to return to, before walking to one of the numerous, great restaurants!

Our family of four + dog loved our stay in this lovely, quirky and homely townhouse in an ideal location for exploring all that Amboise has to offer. The layout of the house and particularly the three bathrooms was perfect for us and our teenagers. The hostess was very quick to respond to our queries and the check-in process could not have been easier. We hope to return.

This is an excellent value and nice property to use as a base for visiting the Loire Valley. The house is on a beautiful street in Amboise with easy parking. Plenty of room with nice amenities. Three bathrooms were awesome.
Air conditioners were available in the bedrooms. This was a nice surprise. There was no problem with heat or sleeping at night. This rental is a great value and highly recommended.

This is such a sweet rental! It was clean, quite, comfortable bedding and showers, and had some lovely touches in decorating. The owner was very responsive. The location is a short walk to dining, shopping, grocery, and monuments. As long as your party is comfortable with stairs, I highly recommend this wonderful home.

Communications with host are easy and excellent - very accomodating! Location is ideal for easy walking access, whether to the chateau or to Clos du Luce. Guests must be comfortable with negotiating stairs, but is in every other way an excellent venue. It has a very functional kitchen, of which we made good use. It, and Amboise in general, is a great base for exploring the Loire Valley.

Beautiful and functional renovation of a 19th century house. Superb location in Ambroise. Walk to everything. House very well appointed with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. We appreciated the new washer and dryer and the large size refrigerator. Dead quiet for sleeping, especially in the downstairs bedrooms. Really there were no problems at all during our stay and Alexandra was very responsive to all inquiries. Very much recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautifully renovated apartment in Amboise. Parking was easy. The location was amazing. Having a 3 bedroom apartment with 3 separate bathrooms for our family of 6 was amazing! Alexandra made our stay so easy and communicated so well. We were beyond thrilled with the place and would love to go back! The part why has everything you need to make this place home for your time!

We were visiting from San Diego and loved this house. The location was great as well as the parking and convenience to the castle. The remodel on the house was also superb. The owners took this old broken place and turned it into a piece of art work. The stairs were an engineering marvel in themselves. Lots of private spaces for a family. I recommend this house to all travelers.

We loved our stay here and felt like temporary residents of the town. The location is great - right next to Leonardo da Vinci‘s last home Clos de Luce and A very short walk to Town Center. We loved being so close to all the town shops, restaurants, cafés, winery, the château… couldn’t have asked for a better spot. Also close to the market on the weekend which was fabulous. And to the supermarket in town for necessary supplies. The house was spacious and we all settled in nicely for breakfast around the table and snacks and drinks at other times. It’s a house with a very interesting set up on three floors which means it would likely present mobility challenges for some and could be difficult if there were small children. Checking was easy and simple with a code and lockbox. We loved our temporary Amboise citizen status. 😊

Very characterful property beautifully decorated, wonderfully located within walking distance of the chateau and Le Clos Luce. Lots of wonderful restaurants nearby too. Owner had generously left a range of useful stuff,washing up liquid, washing machine liquid and dishwasher tablets as well as basic condiments.Useful keybox system for entry

Cute and Convenient
The accommodations were very good. France was having a heat wave during our stay and the fans were a life saver. My husband had hurt his knee during our trip and he was unable to use stairs. Since all bedrooms and bathrooms required stairs, he slept on the sofa and I slept on a futon we found downstairs. All was good. Would have been nice to have had access to an extra set of unused sheets but we didn't ask. Location was GREAT! We walked everywhere in Amboise we wanted to go. Convenient to restaurants, Clos du Luce, Castle, pastry shops in the morning and snacks in the afternoon. Not a good fit for anyone who can not navigate stairs. All bedrooms and bathrooms require stairs. Nice to have an ice tray in the freezer for those of us who like drinks with ice. Great stay. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent for those who appreciate a renovation of an historic property in an location walkable to the restaurants and shops. Not really suitable for seniors due to narrow stairs or tall individuals due to low ceilings. We were there on some very warm days and could have used another fan or two as there in no A/C.

We had a great stay in this property. The location couldn’t be any better with its proximity to Amboise Chateaux and Chateaux Clos Luce. Check in process was very simple and smooth. There is parking available within 50 meters. We definitely recommend this property.

Cute remodeled apartment
Uniquely remodeled; good location (walk to) to City square, Amboise Chateau, river, many restaurants and shops. Loved the town. Low beams in apartment (6 ft height limit for renters).
Several steps were a little awkward, multiple floor heights. Not a fancy hotel, which we didn't want.

House was as advertised, great location, host was so helpful with suggestions for restaurants. House was spread out so everyone had a lot of room…. We brought pizza in from Via Roma and had such a nice night just eating at the spacious table.

Clean and close to town.
We had a great time in Amboise. When we arrived, the internet was not working, but the owner came right over to fix it. Having a full washer and dryer was an added bonus. The property is as advertised and perfect for 3 couples.

Our return to Amboise!
In 2015, we found Alexandra's place as a stopping point between Lyon and Normandy. We loved the house and the location so much that we planned out next trip to France around returning to Alexandra's house. With our three children (3, 6 and 8), we had all the space we needed. The kids slept in the large bedroom in the basement, and we slept upstairs. We didn't even use the third bedroom or bathroom in the basement.
This house is well suited to two small families or three couples, and is so close to many of the Loire Valley castles. Da Vinci's last residence, Clos Luce, is a 2-minute walk away, while the Amboise castle, and all the town restaurants and bakeries, are a 10-minute walk. A dozen other castles are less than an hour away, including the amazing Chambord and Chenonceau castles.
Alexandra was always quick to reply, and the house was missing nothing. Parking is free and a short walk away, and we were able to pull our car in front of the house to unload and load.
Alexandra's house in Amboise will always be a part of our return trips to France!

Excellent value for a three bedroom, two bathroom property. The house has a quirky layout due to its being a retrofit of awkward spaces. The “underground garden” with strange lighting in the bottom level bedroom is strange and unnecessary. All in all, the location and amenities make this a very good value.

Wonderful stay in a beautifully renovated home near the town center of Amboise.
Very clean home with all the amenities including a washer/dryer. It’s in walking distance to the Château Amboise, the town center with many restaurants and shops, and the Sunday morning market. Check in was very easy with a front door code. We are 3 single women so having 3 bedrooms and bathrooms was quite nice. Beds were comfortable and shampoo, soap and hair dryers were provided. Pictures on the listing accurately reflect the rooms. I would definitely stay there again.

A charming house in the perfect location
We were 2 couples with 3 teenage girls, and we all fit comfortably. 3 bathrooms were a definite plus... And the location couldn’t be better, just between the castle and the Clos Luce, with plenty of restaurants around. Thanks Alexandra.

Nice apartment in Amboise
We stayed at this apartment during the heat wave, which made things a bit challenging. Since temps are rarely above 80F most places don’t have AC and outdoor activities abound. However it was above 100F during our stay, and obviously no fault of Amboise it did make for a much hotter experience than we’d hoped for.
