GRANDMA'S GET-A-WAY (Water Front property ) WIFI
Cette maison se trouve dans une crique très calme sur les 87 miles du côté Ozarks, parfaite pour faire du tubing les petits, faire du vélo mouillé ou simplement nager ou peut-être un peu de pêche à partir de notre quai couvert privé. Votre bienvenue pour apporter votre bateau, le lancement de bateau est à Twin Beach à quelques minutes. De Grandmas Getaway.
Nos choses préférées à faire sont .... Profitez de notre café du matin assis sur la terrasse tout en regardant le lac. attraper une canne à pêche attraper quelques poissons, aller
pour une petite baignade ou peut-être une promenade en bateau. Nous aimons également prendre la pagaie pour un voyage autour de la crique.
Venez profiter de votre séjour au bord du lac.

It was a beautiful, cozy and super clean house. Everything you could think of was provided. We brought our own water toys, but they had a variety on the property. Loved having a private dock and a nice deck/patio with a grill and fire pit. 10/10.

This was a great place to spend the weekend. We fished and swam off the dock, then took the paddle boat for a cruise around the cove. We hiked at Harry S. Truman State Park, had good Mexican food at El Camino Real, and made s’mores with the fire pit. We were also close enough to rent a boat on Truman Lake. Grandma’s getaway was clean, comfortable, and cozy! Would definitely go back. Felt like our own private little house and dock, which is pretty impressive during the crowded summer season.

We had a great time at Grandma’s Getaway! Lovely, clean property on the water. Beautiful views and quiet location. Loved that we could bring our dog and she could enjoy the time outside with us. We rented a boat and it was awesome we could pull it up to the house and then take it out to go fishing and swimming! Kayaks were great for exploring the inlet.

We had some wonderful family days by the water with lots of swimming and some kayaking in this quiet cove. That and the shaded terrace were perfect in the heat. And the house offered everything we needed, TV for the Olympics and well equpped kitchen for cooking.

We traveled from Oklahoma to stay here. The description of the location is very misleading. We assumed we were on the lake. This is on the Osage river in a very shallow cove off the big part of the river. There is NO access to the lakes from the house. We were disappointed but it’s our fault for not looking at the map better. We brought our boat and the “trailer parking” at the top before you go down is nothing short of an uphill nightmare on the side of the gravel road. Parking a very large truck and boat and trailer there was next to impossible. The boat ramp to put the boat in was practically vertical as well. The deepest part of this cove is about 7ft which is scary for a boat prop.
The dock was nice. We caught lots of fish off the dock.
Swimming around the dock was a bit murky. Lots of leaves and sticks.
The house has very very low ceilings if you are someone over 6 foot tall you will struggle in this house especially with the ceiling fans.
The beds were very comfortable.
There is no big light in the master bedroom just lamps.
The bathroom
Is very small and tight.
There were plenty of towels thank goodness because there was no washer and dryer.
The Host was very quick to respond to messages.
Overall it was an okay to stay but we probably won’t be back.

Property was as described, very clean and well furnished. Had a great time on the swim dock, even my girls (dogs) enjoyed jumping off it! Would definitely recommend.

My main goal for my stay was to get away from the city and have a relaxing fishing vacation with my kids. I chose Grandma's Getaway for the private dock and was hoping the cabin would be suitable. My expectations were exceeded! The cabin was very clean - fresh linens, clean surfaces, smelled nice. The kitchen is surprisingly well stocked with utensils and cookware, and it was so nice having the grill. The dock is awesome to fish off of - we caught bass and crappie right off the dock. We also used the paddle boat daily to get out to deeper water to fish. My kids really enjoyed going out on the water on the kayaks as well. The view of the lake is beautiful. I wish it had been fall so that I could have enjoyed my morning coffee with a cool breeze as I looked out over the water. I honestly cannot say enough great things about the cabin, we had a blast! My only suggestion to future visitors would be to make sure you do not drive a car down that is low to the ground. If you have never been to a lakefront property, driveways are typically a bit steep and rough, and this one is no different, but my Toyota Camry handled it just fine. As far as the town goes, the cabin seems to be off the beaten path but is actually quite close to food, walmart, and other Warsaw attractions like Truman Dam and Visitor Center (I recommend going to the visitor center for a history lesson). Cosmic Coffee on the Main street also has great coffee and breakfast with fast, friendly service.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property. In fact, after making a trip to the grocery store, we didn't leave again except for one day trip to Ha Ha Tonka State Park. My husband commented that it was "just like home," with everything you needed right at hand. Getting the boat in on the steep and curvy roads was a bit of a chore, but once it was in the water, it was super convenient to be able to keep it in the dock so we could hop in and fish whenever we wanted.

The house was cozy and comfortable. It's on a dead end road - no traffic or noise, but still just a few miles to Warsaw for shopping and dining. We very much enjoyed our stay.

House is clean and manager was very responsive, she even called to make sure we made it okay. The place is setup for fishing, the boat ramp and fish cleaning station was our favorite part. We came in late one night from fishing all day and were able to clean the fish easily as the dock has lights. It was awesome having the boat slip and waking up in the morning with the boat already in the water. The house is small but very clean and had all the extras provided (toothbrush, soap, even coffee). Nice grill if you’re not big into eating out. The ceilings are low so if your tall be prepared but we made it work and would definitely come back and stay again. One other thing is the address won’t come up on GPS but the instructions she provided were on point and got us there easily after we got started in the right direction. We even got to meet the neighbor dog (brown lab) he’s a sweetie and always seemed to know when we were cleaning fish 😆. I would definitely recommend this place. Thanks again for a great stay!

We loved the location. After spending many years in the busiest area of the lake we found this place. It's on a quiet cove, calm water. Great for swimming with kids, fishing and boating. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Master bed was pretty comfortable. If you're looking for a place to get away and slow down, this is it!

Property was clean and had everything you need. The owners were very responsive. The steps to deck have different rises. So just be careful when going up and down. We were careful and had no issue. The road was a bit steep. Those items may be in listing. No issue for us in our truck. It could be a great fishing spot. We would have fished more if we were there more days as it rained while we were there. We found some nice small business restaurants that were all close and good. Overall it was a great trip and nice getaway.

Our stay at GRANDMA'S-GET-A-WAY was great. We really enjoyed fishing off the dock and around the cove. We caught plenty of catfish, carp, bass, and 1 crappie. We brought our own kayaks and SUP, plus rented 2 from the owners and spent time each day on the water. It was very quiet and peaceful. We actually didn't have any boat traffic in the cove which made kayaking and swimming really nice. The house was furnished with everything we needed and the location was great for a morning or evening walk as well. The patio is perfect for hanging at while grilling and enjoying the beautiful view. My family and I had a wonderful time and are very pleased with our vacation.

It was a very quiet and relaxing vacation. The owners were always prompt and available with any questions. They wrote out many helpful pages of things to see, etc. Our only problem was that our phone ap Maps did not come up with full address just the street and town but it lead us to the wrong town. It works on google maps or they can give you another address close by if the whole address does not come up on your phone. Very clean and accommodating. Most comfortable bed I ever slept on,

Couldn't have asked for a better place that allowed us to unplug and enjoy the quiet, peaceful and serene surroundings. Unit was clean and fully stocked for whatever your needs might be. The cottage itself doesn't have the best roads with which to access it, but worth the extra trouble. Lots of wildlife and friendly 4-legged neighbors who came often. Adjoining units are not rentals, but the natives were very friendly. Would highly recommend!
