Nova Scotia Oceanfront with Private Indoor Pool: The Land Yacht.
Absolument spectaculaire !. LA SEULE location de vacances avec piscine intérieure d'eau salée en Nouvelle-Écosse! Le Land Yacht est un énorme 5800 sq. ' 5 chambres, 4. 5 salles de bain maison offrant 700 'de façade océanique accessible et directe sur St. Margaret's Bay. À seulement 20 minutes en voiture d'Halifax. Les nombreux espaces sociaux et privés font du Land Yacht le choix idéal pour les escapades en famille.
Trop de caractéristiques à énumérer, mais notables sont le solarium en verre enveloppant, les planchers de bois franc partout, la grande salle / salle à manger ouverte avec des plafonds à rainure et languette plus une cheminée en pierre de culture de 2 étages avec insert. Sans oublier la piscine intérieure d'eau salée avec balançoire! Le salon est ouvert sur la cuisine gastronomique avec des comptoirs en granit africain, une île fabuleuse avec susan paresseux, une table de cuisson Jenn-Air, des fours muraux intégrés et des armoires en érable massif.

The Land Yacht was spacious, comfortable, well furnished and had a great view of the bay especially from the solarium. The kitchen had everything you would need and then some. Our pluses included kayaking, bicycling and swimming in the pool and the bay. Bring your bikes and snorkeling gear. The host, Thomas (pardon me, the Captain as you’ll learn!), was friendly, helpful, paid attention to detail and close by if needed. The location was ideal for day trips to Halifax, Lunenburg, Peggy’s Cove, Bay of Fundy, etc. Our stay was relaxed and refreshing. We highly recommend a stay at the Yacht.

We absolutely adored the Land yacht and definitely will be returning. Watching the sea from the solarium was the highlight. Between kayaking with the seals and watching the harbour porpoises swim and play, this is the place to be. 20 minute drive to Halifax and Peggy's cove and back home after a day of site seeing to relax in the indoor salt pool. 11 of us enjoyed every minute. This property and space are beautiful! Very well kept and lots of nautical details. It was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends. The place has everything you need. We brought too much stuff that was not necessary. Thomas and Melanie have thought of everything. Lots of towels, bedding, paper towel and toilet paper, garbage bags, recycling bags as well as all the essentials needed to cook in the kitchen and on the bbq. Lots of propane! You don’t need to pack any household items.
The garage is also equipped with everything you need for outside fun! A dozen lawn chairs, life jackets of all sizes, roasting sticks for the camp fire, as well as unlimited firewood! The kayaks fit two people each and they have three! For lawn games they had a high end ladder ball set and we just brought our own washer toss. Check out the amenities list!
Just an fyi that the description of the lay out of rooms downstairs explains that you need to walk through the state room to get to the other room but there are many doors to access both rooms from outside without having to pass through an occupied room.
Oh and the mosquitos and black flies were not bad at all! You get a cool breeze from the ocean at night so you hardly see any, very minimal. I brought citronella candles that I did not even open!
Also to note for those sun addicts, they get sun all day and the back side of the land yacht is shielded from the wind!

We thoroughly enjoyed our extended family vacation at the land yacht! We had a larger group and found that we had plenty of space. The pool was a big hit with the kids and the solarium was a favourite spot for drinking morning coffees. The space was clean, beds were comfortable and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. We found sea glass on the beaches and there is convenient access to the trail system across the road. Can't wait to come back!

Myself, my husband and our 4 children stayed at this beautiful house for our March Break. The house is gorgeous, it has everything you need to entertain all ages. It is fully loaded and the hosts were always available if we needed anything at all. We are extremely happy with our experience and the kids cried leaving the house (the pool was a huge hit!!!) We will absolutely book again!

This was our second stay. Overall pleased with how well stocked the house is. The owners have thought of pretty much everything. (Couldn’t find a wire whisk) lol. The only down side is the water pressure. I don’t remember it being quite as low last year but for a long weekend the positives far out weigh the negative. One of our favourite places to have our winter getaway. Thank you once again for being so accommodating.

We enjoyed our stay at the Land Yacht. There was plenty of room for our large group. The house was well stocked with every kitchen item you might need, games, towels, you name it. We enjoyed the pool, and especially the fireplace. It was a perfect place to be storm stayed.

Such a wonderful, beautiful and spacious home. We were three families and loved the time together making pasta and playing games and of course swimming in the pool. Would highly recommend.

This property is so much more than just a place to stay, it's an experience not to be missed. We stayed as a multi-generational family and there was something for everyone to enjoy.
In additional to having an amazing ocean view, the kitchen is well equipped, the living area is homey and the rooms are comfortable. It feels like a cottage oasis when you're in the house sitting by the fire but all the amenities that you could need are only a 10 minute drive away.
The host is incredibly responsive and accommodating. Upgrades have been made since our stay one year ago and all the little touches made our stay even better.
I highly recommend this property.

The location is excellent: close to the highway, the city and the attractions of the south shore. We had one guest in a wheelchair and he was most impressed- he spent time both in the pool and the ocean; absolutely loved it. It was a family gathering and we had planned both a feast of lobster and a turkey dinner. We had taken certain things with us including a lobster pot and lobster shears, but overall the kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. The “great room” and surrounding enclosed balcony is well laid out and a pleasure in which to relax. It is large enough to escape in: for some to play crib, others to read, some to chat and others just to watch the changing sky. All in all a great four days .

Housed a large family reunion, everyone had plenty of space for quiet time and together fun. The pool was a fantastic hit for all. We cooked, baked, barbeque'd and made bread. The views resembled a veranda from a cruise ship, calm water -- lives up to the Land Yacht title. Truly a great getaway

The house is beautiful with amazing views of the bay. Two of our family members could not make this family reunion so we were a party of five. If we had been the original party of seven, it would have been difficult to arrange everyone comfortably in the bedrooms. the downstairs bedrooms were very warm with no windows to open.

We think that this lovely property needs a little TLC. Had to switch out dehumidifiers, unclog sinks, replace old washing cloths. Window tracks could use a good cleaning, garden could use a good weeding. The covered wood in the garage is getting mould, and the garage smells of it. The left garage door comes off its track. Kitchen is well equipped but could use a good sorting. Towels for bath and kitchen should be replaced.
We enjoyed the space and comfortable furniture. The porch area is a delight. Puzzles and games were also appreciated.
The pool exhaust system is not working properly, and the humidity affects the whole house.

We were evacuated from our home due to a forest fire in our neighborhood. The host was incredible and even offered us 1 night stay free. The House Yacht was exactly what we needed. It had everything we could possibly ask for and more. We would book here again in a heartbeat, highly recommend’

Home is absolutely gorgeous! Perfect for multi generations. Restful enclosed sunroom/deck and teens loved the game room. EVERYONE loved the amazing pool. Toddler loved exploring outside for shells and sea glass. House was fully stocked with every amenity possible. Wonderfully located with short drives to Peggy's Cove and Halifax. Loved it!!

This was the perfect place for our family to gather for the long weekend. Plenty of room for privacy, and for family game times, meals and lounging. The pool was definitely a highlight, but we also enjoyed walking the scenic trails just across the road from the house and gathering sea glass at the shore. Stay for 3 nights with a few family, friends and young children. We all had a blast. Great for all ages. William. Very comfortable stay. Everything there. Only thing missing to make it more then perfect would be a hot tub hahaha. The pool is amazing. That sunroom over looking the ocean was my favourite, even relaxing on a rainy day.

Beautiful property . Wonderful house for large groups . Pool was amazing , my grandchildren spent the whole weekend in the water ! . We had a bonfire both nights( great that wood was provided )

We love this place and come here a couple each year to be with family in a spacious comfortable environment with so many things to do... look for sea glass at the beach, enjoy the pool and large spacious great room and solarium. Only thing to pass along this time is the upper oven was not working while we were there, and the dishwasher needs to be reattached as it tips forward when open and full of dishes. :). Grateful to have this haven so close to us.
