Lake Haven est merveilleusement aménagé pour une location de vacances. Vous entrez dans la grande salle ouverte et accueillante avec de nombreux sièges autour de la télévision à écran plat de 60 pouces. Il mène également à la terrasse enveloppante avec vue panoramique sur le lac et comprend une grande table de patio et des sièges supplémentaires. Au niveau supérieur, vous trouverez également une cuisine bien équipée avec des appareils électroménagers en acier inoxydable et une salle à manger pour huit personnes, avec deux autres au comptoir.
Au bout du couloir, vous trouverez trois chambres très bien aménagées. Le maître au bout du couloir comprend un lit king-size, une télévision à écran plat et une salle de bains privative avec une très grande douche en verre. En bas de la chambre familiale est une excellente option pour les enfants à traîner pendant que les adultes se détendent à l'étage et comprend également la quatrième chambre également avec un lit king.

We all enjoyed our time at this home. We spent more time in it than we had planned since we arrived when the worse snowfall in 50 years hit. The fireplace was wonderful. It kept the living room toasty. We made many of our meals here since driving could be dangerous at times. The kitchen was well equipped. We used saucers to enjoy the snow from the sloping driveway. I called several times for guidance and the property managers helped us promptly even with the amount of snow and power outages in the area. We were only out for a few hours. Both the street and our driveway were plowed at least daily.

Luckily we were able to snag this beauty at the last minute for just a 4 night stay (unfortunately I would have loved to have stayed much longer!) The home has nice furnishings- great bedding with nice linens, thick fluffy towels, and comfortable furniture. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils though we only ate in one night ( BBQ)The deck area is quite large with filtered views of the lake. I would definitely rebook Lake Haven again! Also, dealing with Tahoe Getaway was an easy experience. Just a note- the downstairs has a good sized sitting room, a bathroom with shower as well as a sauna and a separate room with a king sized bed. ( I believe the online description states bunk/ double bed- note that bed configuration is on the main level.)

We truly enjoyed stay in this property. Rooms were nice, great living room and kitchen area. Kitchen was excelently equipped.
However - Bed quality was poor and bed linens were very, very outdated and uncomfortable. It would take a very little effort to upgrade them and the whole stay would be so much more pleasant.
The fact that renters cannot access private beach is another negative of the house. It was impossible to find a space on a public beach, and that made the whole stay less pleasant. those things have affected this review, which is unfortunate because the house and the setting are just beautiful

The location was great. Space was more than enough for our family of 5! 3 bathrooms which were nice and enough to sleep at least 10. A few things to improve...the area rugs were all weathered and dirty. The entry hall one had a huge stain on it. These should be updated. As well as updating the dishtowels and oven mitts. It was hard to tell if they were clean because they were so old and dirty looking. I was surprised this hadn't been done as it isn't a large expense. Lastly, there is no AC and at night you are encouraged to shut doors and windows bc of bears. It got hot. They have a lot of fans available and we did use them and they helped a bit, but also some of the fans were so dusty we couldn't use them.

We had a wonderful time and loved the amount of space as well as durability of the furniture (none was broken).
It could have been a bit cleaner - the ottoman, sliding door handle and BBQ were extremely dirty - and cobwebs all around. As well, a few things were broken upon our arrival: lounge chair (hole), curtain rod in master upstairs was hanging broken from it’s brace and fell off wall completely, missing screen on the downstairs bedroom large window, large standing light in the living room did not work, so left the living room quite dim. If a lesson could be learned about detail, the place would be excellent.

Wonderfull MLK Ski Trip
We had a great time on our MLK weekend near Tahoe City. The Lake Forest house was exactly as described -- roomy, comfy, good design, and great location to the slopes, local spots. The house is a good neighborhood and has some peakaboo views of the lake.
We are looking forward to coming back here during summer time and enjoy the house and Dollar Point areas.

Great location. Due to the heat wave, the house never cooled down.
The house was nice, great location. The house had limited supplies including toilet paper and paper towels, which we gladly supplied. Also, it wasn't as clean as expected; a few ashes from grill on back porch and some dirty clothes left in master bedroom. Also, if we stayed again in August, we would insure they had ceiling fans installed as the house was extremely warm (over 80 each night when we went to bed).

I love the house and the location. We stayed 7/31-8/6. A few people complained about the internet speed. It's fine (280 Mbps download, 21 Mbps upload...ok, that's a little slow, but workable). We brought up 2 SUPs and stored them in the garage. I went out every morning at 7:00 am when the lake was glass. The Dollar Point HOA charges guests $10/person per day to use the beach (9:00-1:00 or 2:00-6:00). First come, first served. It's free before and after. But, we went to Skylandia Beach. It's pretty much the same distance to either beach and Skylandia is free. The house is great, it got warm in the day (no AC), but we turned on the plentiful fans and cooled the house down easily. The filtered view is nice, but there was definitely one tree I wanted to remove. :-) Must do hikes: Eagle Rock (near Homewood), and the Rubicon (from DL Bliss to Emerald Bay and back). Both were amazing!

We spent 10 days at "Lake Haven" with our entire family: daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren. Tahoe is an annual event for us, and over the years we have rented several homes at Dollar Point. This home was by far the best. It is spacious with plenty of room for children and adults alike. The deck is a great space with filtered views of the lake where one can dine outside or relax with a book and a glass of wine. The kitchen is remarkably well appointed with every piece of equipment that one could possibly need. And there is a generous supply of quality pots and pans, dishes, glasses and silverware. The living room is large with tall celings with exterior views to the lake. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the bathrooms spotless. The location within Dollar Point is just about midway between the pool/tennis area and the beach: no more than a 10 min walk to either. One can't go wrong renting this home!

We've been vacationing at Dollar Point for years and continue to cabin hop. This was by far one of the best! Four spacious rooms made for a comfortable nights sleep and all with fans. The split living space was great for kids to escap and play or watch a movie. The best pro was the cleanliness. The only odd thing was carpet in the sauna (which we didn't use...but it was summer so really didn't need to).

The house is in a nice location with filtered views of the lake. The beach is in walking distance and isn't crowded. Tennis courts near beach were always available. The furniture is comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, pots, pans and cooking utensils. There are minimal condiments ( salt, pepper, oil). The wifi is very slow and was completely out for 2 days. We had positive interactions with all but one person from Tahoe Getaways. AT&T ended up coming, 2 days after the wifi went out, and installed a new router. If you need to work using wifi, it's probably too slow. The deck wasn't cleaned off prior to our arrival.

We were a family of 6 adults and 3 children and we had a great stay at this rental. We enjoyed the proximity to Squaw/Alpine and Northstar, and the cute town of Tahoe City. We used the kitchen for every meal, and the dishes/pots/utensil supply was abundant for our usage. The accommodations were for the most part tidy. However, we did notice that the carpet may need a deep cleaning - after my 2 year old and 4 year old were walking around on the carpet, their feet were visibly dirty from the debris on the carpet. Also, this rental needs a functional trash can - the flip top on our trash can did not work.

The house was great - lots of space, clean and tastefully built and appointed. The beds were comfortable and cozy with quality linens. The furniture was modern enough and the kitchen stocked. The one downside was that it is clearly a full-time rental meaning many of the small things that you might find in a more permanently lived in house like spices or olive oil, books or videos, for instance are notably missing - so if you plan on cooking bring everything you imagine you will need, and if bad weather could lock you in (like it did with us for 36 hrs), bring something to read or watch. Otherwise the place is very nice; we would definitely consider another stay some time.

After my husband & researched and previewed several different homes, we decided to rent the Lake Haven home for a family vacation in August 2014. We had 3 other couples staying with us and loved the location of the home. The home was centrally located in a quiet neighborhood, Dollar Point. Walking distance to the private access beach as well as access to the community pool and close proximity to the bike was perfect!

We had a very positive experience for our week vacation with our family. This home was in a great location and well appointed. The Swim and Tennis Club was great for the kids as was the private beach. We enjoyed having the deck and barbecue for dining outside. The view of the lake from the deck was very nice. The only thing we found disappointing and uncomfortable was the fact that the home was very warm. At times it was warmer inside than out. At night when we were in bed it was very uncomfortable. There was no air circulating. One room had a floor fan but it was noisy. I think the owners would be wise to install ceiling fans in the bedrooms to circulate the air. This is a small investment that would provide a more comfortable sleeping experience for the renters. Another renter had the same experience and I have to agree with them. We had a problem with the microwave but the rental agency took care of it immediately with a loaner. I would stay here again with the hopes that there would be ceiling fans to help with the very warm inside temperature.

It is easy to tell the owners love this house. It is well kept, has a well stocked kitchen, and room for both kids and adults. Lots of TV's, but no books, puzzle, kid bring your own if that is your preference. I had been concerned it might be too hot, but there were plenty of fans and effective window coverings, so we had no problem despite the heat. We would go there again!

Dollar Point neighborhood was the perfect location for the extended 150 family members and friends to gather for a reunion and wedding. Great proximity to all the fun Tahoe has to offer along with great restaurants. This house fit our needs perfectly - grandparents, 2 siblings with their families! Plenty of room to "get away" and not feel on top of one another. We have rented homes in many countries and throughout the US and this home was the BEST APPOINTED KITCHEN we have ever seen!
