Le Country Chalet, une maison de vacances toute l'année, est une spacieuse maison de 3 chambres nichée dans un cadre vallonné et boisé. Tranquille et isolée à quelques minutes au sud du centre de Fish Creek, où vous pourrez profiter de la plage, du théâtre d’été, des restaurants et des magasins Founders Square. L'entrée principale du Peninsula State Parks est également située à Fish Creek, où vous trouverez des kilomètres de sentiers de randonnée, de vélo, de ski de fond et de motoneige. En outre, pour ceux qui aiment le golf, il y a plusieurs terrains de golf à quelques minutes du chalet.

We loved the property. It was great having the quiet of the woods behind us but also being close to the amenities of Fish Creek. This was the best stocked property I have been to - plenty of things like oils, spices, coffee filters, sugar etc. for cooking. Well done!

No negatives. The home was fully stocked with everything as listed. Some of my favorite things about this property- water softener (so nice), Mary Kay products for your use, laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent provided for. Coffee provided including pods. Paper and writing utensils. Plenty of toilet paper. Plastic wrap. I could go on. Love that it has a garage for your car and bicycles. Very welcoming home. And I loved the decor.

The property was exactly as expected and communication with the owners was great. The home was very well stocked (one of the best we have come across) which makes the stay much more enjoyable. The location is great being just minutes outside Fish Creek but nice and private on a large wooded lot. We appreciate having a garage to keep our bikes in and for easy loading/unloading. Overall a great value for a rental and we would stay here again.

This was a nice, clean, spacious home that was in a great location for all our activities. The host also returned all inquiries very quickly. You are expected to wash and put way all the dishes and wash the towels before you leave. I only mention because this is something you have to plan for accordingly and I appreciated this comment in other reviews so I had a heads up.

Our family was so impressed with the Country Chalet. Our family called the rental home for a week.
The house was clean and all setup for us. Check-in was seamless and on time. The kitchen was the best stocked one we've had in a rental. Having little things like spices and cooking oil made cooking meals-in a breeze.
The layout is perfect for families. We even did an outdoor fire and got a great look at the stars.
It's minutes away from Fish Creek and just a short drive to the other towns. Getting around was so stress-free.

This is the second time we stayed here. First time was pre-pandemic. The Chalet is great. The King bed upstairs is very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need for eating in. We adventure out on our tandem bicycle. The chalet is close to Fish Creek and Egg Harbor. We can easily ride to the lake side of the peninsula. The garage access is a main feature so that we can secure our bike in the evenings and keep it out of the weather.

The Chalet has it all. The owners have thought of, and provided everything one would need for a 5-day stay. The kitchen well stocked, bedroom and bathroom supplied with high quality linens and the great room has cozy throws and ample dry wood for a delightful fire in the fireplace.
The home is located close to many restaurants and shops in Door County and yet has a woodsy, tucked away vibe. Our family looks forward to a possible return trip.

This home is the perfect distance from downtown Fish Creek. It is a 5-minute drive but in a neighborhood of large, wooded lots/homes. Very quiet and beautiful. It was the best supplied house we have ever rented and has excellent amenities- wifi, TV, dvd & vhs, radio. Excellent kitchen appliances and supplies. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. The upstairs bedroom, with the king bed & in-suite bath, is huge snd private. Access to the garage was a real plus. The owner was super responsive. We can’t wait to return!

Well maintained and great location for doing things in Door County. House was well stocked with everything (towels, kitchen, toiletries, etc.) Always enjoyed coming “home” after a day of exploring and shopping, because the house felt so welcoming. The house is in a very quiet, wooded and secluded area. Great area to walk dogs around the circular neighborhood. Host was quick to respond if there were questions. I highly recommend the home.

Our stay at the house was very relaxing. The small neighborhood it is in is secluded, yet close to everywhere on the peninsula. You are just far enough out to think you are the only one in the area. The house has a friendly warmth to it, we felt at "home" when we walked in. There is no mistaking that you are welcome to use the house as it was your own. The Chalet definitely made our stay in Door county more enjoyable.

The house was clean, nicely secluded and provided us privacy and a feeling of being in the woods and escaping. We really enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen and open concept of the house. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked great. The only negative I would say was the lack of lighting for tasks and/or reading. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed the house and our host was delightful. Thank you. We would certainly return.

Overall we had a really good time during our two-week stay and would recommend this home to others. The home had a great loft, the kitchen was well-stocked, the bathrooms had wonderful amenities, we even had a garage for our car, the road was a great short loop for walking our dog, it was quite quiet given the location being in the woods and it was about a mile to Fish Creek. It was about what we expected and we were able to easily explore a lot of Door County given the central location.
We had one glitch that dropped our stay from great to good and it was because we didn’t have a fridge during one week. This resulted in us having to eat out much more than we planned and having to throw out much food that we didn’t trust. Yet, this wasn’t anyone’s fault and the owners went well out of their way to get us a small fridge and cooler until a new fridge was brought. In addition, they reimbursed us $200 which helped offset our costs. The only other suggestions I’d give the homeowners is to get room-darkening shades and clean the carpets but other than that the home was great.
So bottom line the question is “would we stay here again” and the answer is “of course”.

Fun, cool time in Door County
Our family comes up to Door County every three years or so but our last visit was 2018. We found this property to be very peaceful in the woods and it was an easy driving on Hwy. 42 into Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, the Peninsula State Park, Ephraim and Sister Bay. We would definitely consider staying here again (likely in 2025). Thanks very much for your wonderful vacation home!

Cottage in the woods
Had a nice time with the family at this location in the woods. Took the kids and dogs and everyone seemed to enjoy. We had a fire in the fire pit one evening, walked around the homes, etc. The only issue was the beeping of dishwasher and the freezer seemed to leak a little. The beds were comfy. We would go back.

This really is the perfect Door County rental. While just off 42 and minutes from both Egg Harbor and Fish Creek, it also boasts a beautiful wooded lot and privacy in the back yard. We loved sitting on the deck with the dogs and listening to the birds while having morning coffee. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for the Pack and Play for the baby in either of the two larger bedrooms. Marla was quick to get back to us when we had questions. You won’t regret staying in this wooded paradise!

Cross Country Getaway
My family and I were visiting Door County to cross country ski at Peninsula State Park and needed a cozy place to unwind after a day of skiing. The cottage was exceptional. It was close to the park, homey, the kitchen was well equipped (we cooked gourmet meals each night), the beds were comfortable, and there was even a small office in the loft for my dad to work. We were even able to bring our two dogs. Marla was easy to get in touch with and was a generous host. We enjoyed warming up by the fire and watching the olympics. after days of exploring Door County and skiing. I highly recommend this place and plan to stay again in the future.

Cozy home we love staying at
This is our second year staying at this house and still are in Love with it! Minor modern updates would be nice (bigger TV, blackout curtains in bedrooms, garbage disposal) but even without these items this home is a treasure. We look forward to keeping our yearly family tradition and booking again next year. If you are looking for a cozy, comfortable place to stay in Door County with your family, book this house!
