My partner and I recently celebrated our anniversary at this enchanting mountain cabin near Asheville, NC, and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the cabin's beauty and its serene, secluded location. Nestled amidst the trees, the cabin offered breathtaking views and a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The interior of the cabin was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We especially loved the spacious deck where we enjoyed our morning coffee while soaking in the peaceful surroundings.
The location was ideal – secluded enough to provide privacy and tranquility, yet just a short drive to Asheville and its vibrant entertainment options. We had a blast exploring the local breweries, restaurants, and shops in the city.
The nearby hikes and trails were a highlight of our stay. We spent our days exploring the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains, with each trail offering its own unique beauty. From challenging hikes to gentle walks, there was something for everyone, and the views were simply spectacular.
Our host was incredibly caring and responsive, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and memorable. They provided excellent recommendations for local activities and were always available to answer any questions.
Our stay at this mountain cabin was everything we hoped for and more. It was the perfect backdrop for a fantastic and memorable anniversary. We can't wait to come back!

A perfect cabin with spectacular views! But close to Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 10 minutes to groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, etc. it’s perfection! This is the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed…including the amazing hot tub! We saw two bears on property in the early morning during our stay, but the cabin is way up high and safe (just be sure you are good navigating stairs). Our host was gracious, responsive, informative and kind. I can’t wait to go back again!

This property was exceptional. It was exceptionally clean and had everything available you could possibly need. The hosts were very responsive, and the information provided for our stay was spot on. The stairs could be a challenge, but the view was definitely worth the climb. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was by far the cleanest VRBO I have ever been at. Everything was perfect, the views were amazing, seeing the animals was so fun (of course mamma bear and her cups (saw them 3 times!), deer, woodpeckers, heard owls. We highly recommend this place, the driveway is no joke though, we rented a truck and it was hard to get it turned around...had to do the back and forth. You can get your exercise in just going up and down the driveway! Thanks for a great time!!

My wife and I stayed Sunday to Sunday, the cabin was amazing, very clean and peaceful. The cabin was very stocked with extra supplies such as paper towels and toiletries. We enjoyed the hot tub and the views almost everyday. Speaking of the views they were amazing and awesome. We just sat and watched the clouds move through the mountains for hours. The hosts had tons of suggestions for local diners we went to and area attractions and they were very responsive when contacted. My wife and I have stayed in several cabin rentals from Ohio to North Carolina and this by far is our favorite. The stairs are no joke being a flat lander but navigated them without issue. In closing, we were greeted with a welcome card and local honey and soap thanking us for choosing them and I am sure glad that we did. Amazing week because of an amazing cabin on an awesome piece of property. Thank you for having us.

This cabin is absolutely gorgeous! It is very well kept and it is extremely well stocked with all the supplies in the kitchen, paper, products, and linen/towels that anyone could need for a weeklong stay. This also was the absolute cleanest rental we have ever had (and we have had many in various locations in the US). The location and views from the cabin are spectacular. Yes, the driveway is very steep and there are many stairs to enter the cabin, but we knew all of this from the well-detailed description of the rental that we read prior to booking. Lisa, the owner, was an absolute pleasure and so easy to communicate with. She made our check-in/checkout process extremely easy. We cannot wait to rent this cabin again, or the other cabin that is available from the same owners, in the very near future. We also have recommended this rental to many of our friends who are interested in visiting the area!

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Easy trip into town of Fairview and to downtown Asheville. It was cold but we could still enjoy the incredible mountain views (just be aware that steps up to the house are super steep)! Super clean and very well appointed. Hope to make a return trip someday.

Very comfortable cabin for 4 people. Beautiful kitchen is well stocked and we loved grilling out/ cooking and enjoying dinner on the porch. AMAZING views and fantastic sunrises. The driveway was no joke, but we overall had no issue. Only challenge we had was trying to get ridesharing from the house, but the drive into town was only about 20 min. Overall, the house was amazing and we really enjoyed our time. Would recommend it to anyone in the future!

The mountain house was very clean and description of the house and very private location, convenient to Asheville, Black Mtn and the Blue Ridge Parkway, with great views, was accurate and very helpful for what we were looking for. Lisa checked in with us a few times, which we appreciate. We enjoyed our very relaxing stay at Lazy Bear Cabin.

The house was clean and as described. We enjoyed our stay. Close enough to Asheville, far enough away for privacy, and seclusion. The stairs leading up to the cabin are serious, keep that in mind. The owners do have other listings near by. The view from the balcony was amazing! Hot tub worked well, nice generous bath tubs, alawys a plus. Only thing i would mention is the king bed upstairs felt unlevel and the fitted sheet kept popping off the corners of the bed. Had a great time!

I’ve stayed in probably a dozen mountain cabins over the last 10 years, and this is one of the best! Lisa was great to communicate with and has thought of a lot of great touches! The cabin had everything we needed, down to a Bluetooth speaker and ice in the ice trays! Beds were comfortable, towels were great, hot tub was super clean and hot, with easy to follow instructions. The view is beautiful, and the driveway is paved and easy to navigate. Thank you for a great stay!

The owner's little touches in the cabin (gift bag of honey, laundry supplies, etc.) were so thoughtful. Any time I had a question, the owner replied so quickly. The cabin was so clean. I liked that Fairview was small but had lots of nice places to eat and was easy to get to various falls around the area and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Loved this cabin (except the driveway!).

We saw a mama black bear and two cubs, a lynx, and a groundhog. Beautiful trees and views. Very nice cabin, very nice beds, pillows and bedding. Very close to Asheville and Blue Ridge Parkway, and Chimney rock state park. Driveway looks very steep but gave no trouble. We had a great time!!

First of all, the house was absolutely stunning and the views were amazing. All the little touches made the stay so inviting. The owners even left us a local gift of honey lollipops and honey in the cabin.
Being in a hot tub overlooking the mountains could not have been more relaxing.
I left behind my shirt in the cabin by accident, and Lisa, one of the owners, was kind enough to mail it back to me. Thank you Jay and Lisa for everything! We had an awesome time!

I can't say enough about how great this vacation was. We spent our 25 anniveraary weekend at the cabin. I think we will spend many more because the cabin was perfect, the location, view, hot tub and peaceful environment. Cabin location is perfect between Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway and Chimney Rock. Go to the Local.Joint for.dinner, you won't be disappointed. As noted there are stairs to the front door, but well worth it. If you have a large vehicle back into the driveway, use cameras or family/friend to guide you. Enjoy and we will be back!

Amazing views from the deck and hot tub. Close to town but far enough away. Everything was clean (I work in hotels so I know!). I do believe an all wheel drive vehicle would be smart since the driveway is steep

We really enjoyed our stay at Lazy Bear. Communication with the host was fantastic both before and during our stay. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need to enjoy some peace and quiet. You are not in the middle of nowhere but you sure feel like it, which allowed for seclusion but safety knowing things and others weren’t far off. The view was amazing and we enjoyed our evenings in the hot tub. Directions for check in and out stay were very thorough and left nothing to guess. We would definitely love to return!

Our stay at the cabin has been a wonderful experience. Cabin is very well equipped, more specifically the kitchen has everything you need if you are to cook. Good heating is also something to remark.
Views are impressive, you feel like living alone in the mountains. But at the same time, you are close to Asheville, Smokies, and other places.

We had a wonderful time during our stay, Lisa is amazing communicating and answering any questions. check in and out process is super easy. Home feel cabin with very very comfortable beds. Amazing views, well equipped kitchen, they provided plenty garbage bags, toilet papers, paper towels , and laundry detergent more than I have ever seen in any other VRBO I stayed in. You will leave this cabin wanting to come back! Perfect Romantic getaway!
