Great location - on a very quiet lagoon and you can jump in the water right off the deck. Lots of fishes in the water to see. Very close to Lions Dive Resort restaurants and Mambo beach - literally 2 minutes walk away. Fantastic spot - would recommend without any reservations!

Literally right on the water, this rental gives you the essentials with a great view and easy swimming. Use the included snorkel equipment to swim right up to large tuna, sharks, and dolphins at the aquarium. If you are looking for wild critters, the lagoon has tons of fish and a reef nearby. The kitchen is workable, but who wants to cook during vacation anways. The host was responsive and addressed a few concerns around the amenities promptly. Highly recommended!

Wow what a beautiful property and the location is absolutely perfect! Walk out you patio door to the most amazing Lagoon you have seen. Chrystal clear, serenity! Swimming and snorkelling was incredible. Then 30 steps away hit Mambo Beach where you can dine and dance the night away! Truly a Gem location! The apartment was very comfortable. The bed luxurious and the kitchen had everything we needed for our 9 day stay! Jo was exceptional and guiding us to all of the best things to do on the island! Very helpful at the tap of a finger. The amenities available at this property are perfect. The unit has direct access to the lagoon which is teeming with tropical sea life. We loved diving off the dock for a swim or snorkel. You will need to be physically fit enough to climb up the ladder to return to the dock. There are dock lights that illuminate the rocks below, great for watching the nighttime sea life. The outdoor space is in 3 levels which we enjoyed throughout the day. There is a gorgeous pool area and a private beach for guests of the resort. The pool area is a 30 second walk from the unit and has restrooms/changing area and an outdoor shower. The landscaping is lush. Wish I could grow a Bismarck Palm tree like those at the pool area in Maine! The aquarium is just across the lagoon and holds dolphin shows each day. It was so neat to hear their calls and see their jumps and tricks. We made reservations for the swim with dolphins experience, which was worth the cost. The property is connected to the Mambo Beach area with restaurants and bars steps away. Although the unit has a fully equipped kitchen it was great to have the option to go out for drinks and dinner when we chose to. The bedroom is quite and the AC unit aided in a great sleeping environment. The bathroom is newly renovated - we loved the walk in shower. Jo was quick to answer questions throughout the rental process. I look forward to returning again soon.

Property was as promised Clean, close to beach, shopping, many restaurants and dive shop. Dock & swim area are great for swimming & snorkeling around to see some cool fish and even some coral a little further out. Property host was wonderfully accommodating and helpful before and during our stay. Would definitely recommend this property.

I don't think there's a better location in all of Curaçao. To get up every day and open the back doors wide and see that beautiful turquoise lagoon is amazing. You can snorkel right off your back deck (snorkel gear provided.) There is a lovely pool, but for the first time ever, we didn't use it. With the lagoon and the beach right there, we didn't need it. The beach is just on the other side of a couple of other units. You can watch the dolphins jump in the Seaquarium, but it was completely peaceful. No noise except for the dolphins slapping the water with their fins occasionally and the waves breaking on the rocks. The location is very convenient to Punda, Willemstad, Jan Thiel, and more. Jo is great to work with. She met us at the unit upon arrival and explained everything and gave us lots of information. We stayed under the electricity allotment because you really only need AC in the bedroom at night. I was amazed at how cool the trade winds are. I can't recommend this location more highly. Dushi!

From the moment I walked in the door and out onto the deck I knew I was going to have the best week ever. The picturesque view left me speechless. I spent most of the week relaxing on the deck getting some vitamin D and enjoying the sound of the water.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at this property. The layout and the location of this apartement is incredible - like others before us - we had an hard time leaving the deck to go explore the island. We had this blue lagoon to ourselves, doplhins just in front (I spent hours in the water, just looking at them from under the bridge) and everything we needed to make our stay so enjoyable. Two grocerie stores were at 10 minutes drive and it's about 15min drive to downtown Willemstad. Mambo beach is litterally next door and we enjoyed some of their restaurants when we were not feeling like cooking our own meals. It's definitely worth it to explore the island as there is incredible snorkeling beaches - it feels like entering an aquarium (water is crystal clear and lots of fishes variety). This condo definitely had all we could wish for and we're already talking of going back, as this was really a paradise for us. The property and location was amazing. The pictures left nothing to the imagination and the view / water was as wonderful as displayed. The check in process was very easy and the communication with both Jo and her property manager was easy. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who is interested in visiting Curacao!

Magical. Heavenly. Serene. These words only begin to describe this experience. When you arrive, you walk through a lovely apartment that's very clean and well equipped. As you walk to the back deck, you realize that there are three more "rooms," all of them outside, each creating a different way to experience your own seemingly private lagoon. The first of these outdoor rooms provides a place to dine, read, or simply enjoy a moment to take it all in at a full size table in the shade. A step down and you can sit and enjoy the view from the second "room" or level of the three tier patio-deck. Upon reaching the waterfront tier, you realize that you the lagoon is your own in which to swim and snorkel whenever you like. The lagoon was teaming with sea-life. The trumpet fish were my favorite. I cannot go on without mentioning the dolphins. Just across the lagoon and in full view from your outdoor rooms is the Curacao Sea Aquarium and Dolphin Academy. While snorkeling or merely floating on water noodles, we were able to watch the dolphins play with disabled children. Its indescribable what this dolphin experience was to these children. And to watch this from the water.... well let's just say I contributed some salt water of my own to the lagoon that day. After taking a few walks to Mambo Beach (and visits to beach bars and restaurants) less than five minutes away, we realized we could float or swim there. So we did, each time bringing a credit card so that we might avail ourselves of a post-swim cocktail at one of the beach bars with snorkeling gear or swim noodles in hand. We did this often. I highly recommend it. While touristy, Mambo Beach is really quite lovely. If you see two cruise ships at the terminal, however, you might want to choose to drive to one of the world class beaches on the northwest side of the island. One comes to Curacao to enjoy the ocean, the people, and the outside life of Island living. We got lucky as this is one of the very best places to enjoy all three. For fine dining don't miss Pietermaai, the SOHO of Curacao just east of Punda. The restaurants, live music, and beach clubs, all set among and within Dutch colonial architecture, are simply amazing and only a ten minute drive away. Bon Bini. Enjoy your stay.

We had intended on touring around the island but the double deck right on the blue lagoon was too perfect to leave! The location is awesome as well with Mambo beach a 2 minute walk with restaurants and shops. Something for everyone, from hotdogs to steak and lobster. So many fish to snorkel with right in your own oasis. Definately recommend a stay here at the blue lagoon ocean resort! Such a nice breeze all the time too kept the heat manageable. The light you can turn on the water in the evening created such a peaceful feeling sitting out under the stars.

We've had multiple stays at this wonderful property. Perfect size for 2. On the water, quiet and close to the seaquarium complex, Lions Dive, Mambo beach areas. There is a pool nearby and a beach at the far end of the complex, but with the water right off of the deck, we rarely used. It has all the amenities we need. Agent is quick to respond if any issues (we needed a new kettle this year). Air conditioning is in bedroom only, but with huge deck sliding doors and awning we had no issues with kitchen/living room area. I don't really want to review it well so that we don't have competition to book, but need to be fair!

Being double booked at another location, I was so pleased to get the opportunity to stay at this amazing condo in such a short notice. The deck over the water is fabulous with direct access to the lagoon. All amenities in walking distance, lots to do in a safe surrounding at the Seaquarium Beach! A big thank you to both Jacobien and Jo for having me and your great and professional service. I'll be back if my business takes me to Curacao again in the future.

This was our second stay at this condo and will definitely return in the future. The ability to access the beautiful clear water right from the deck to cool off at any time sure beats staying in air conditioning. The owner and manager were always very responsive to our questions. If you like to snorkel, take the time to swim to the right of the deck, under the bridge, past the resorts and around the left point into the ocean outside the aquarium. The drop off there is stunning and there were thousands of fish. On an unusual calm water day, we were able to snorkel out past the breakwater rocks to the left of the deck into open water (off the cliffs in front of the blue building) and saw one of the best areas for coral that we saw all week. Great times and sad to be back home.

Overall the condo was fantastic. It was in a great location and quite easy to get to Willemstad. The bed was very comfy, a/c in the bedroom worked great, the bathroom and kitchen were fine. I didn't care for the Ikea counter-top grill, it really didn't get hot enough. The furniture in the living room was clean and comfortable. Although the dining room table on the deck was a bit tired looking from being so close to the water there wasn't anything wrong with it. The deck and deck chairs could use a little TLC but the VIEWS ARE FABULOUS. We had the lights at the end of the deck on every night and watched the urchins come out from under the deck. Our first night a lone squid entertained us for 1/2 hour. You can see the dolphins jumping right across the water. Nothing beats jumping off your deck into clear water and snorkelling anytime you feel like it; if you're patient you'll see the lemon sharks through the chain link fence if you snorkel close to the bridge!!! We loved sitting on the deck with some appies and a nice bottle of wine. Jolanda and Jacobien were fantastic to deal with. We rented a car through the property manager but I wouldn't do that again as we had some issues with the car (older) and the car company - go with one of the bigger companies right at the airport. A car is definitely needed. Lions Dive Beach was great, especially Chill Beach Bar and Grill and Piazza. We hope to come back!!

The property was exactly as described and I can honestly say the best part of our week long trip was the time we spent on the porch over the lagoon. The water is amazingly clear and there is nice snorkeling right along the edge of the lagoon. You also have access to Mambo Beach which is a strip of beach bars and restaurants and less then a 5 minute walk from the condo. AC in the room was nice for sleeping at night, during the day you get a nice breeze throughout the condo if you leave the sliding door open which keeps it comfortable. Our favorite beach bar nearby was chill beach bar and grill, they have a fun happy hour on Fridays. For lunch we enjoyed Sea Side Terrace which is reasonably priced, has a nice view and is about a 10-15 min walk from the condo. I would recommend checking out Jan Thiel which also has a nice beach and restaurants. If you are staying for more then a few days either rent a car or become acquainted with the bus system as the cabs are very expensive and do not have meters. Our favorite beach was Cas Abao which is roughly a 45min drive. Overall the trip was amazing and when we come back we will most certainly be staying at Blue Lagoon again!

My husband and I stayed in this condo Jan 12-20, 2018. It is everything the pictures show and so much more. You can see beyond the lagoon directly to the ocean and see these beautiful cliffs of the coastline. The lagoon has great snorkeling, but if you venture just outside of the lagoon into the ocean (on the seaquarium side) it is STUNNING. Tons of fish and beautiful corals. We also swam down the lagoon the other way to Mambo beach. It felt like there was so much to explore and all just outside our door. And seeing the dolphins jump and play...just awesome! We had planned to do some snorkeling and maybe scuba diving excursions but had the best water right outside our door so we felt no need. There was a pool float and snorkel gear so we spent 90% of our time right on/near the lagoon and dock. It felt like our little slice of paradise. The apartment had everything we needed. Kitchen was nice and we thought not using air conditioning during the day would be hard, but that whole wall opens up and you get a great breeze. We were not looking for a very active vacation so we did not rent a car. We had a hard time figuring out how to get to the grocery store (lol) but did get there and there is a free shuttle service that the grocery store pays for them to pick you up. Ask about it if you need! Mambo beach is a short walk away. Maybe just a few minutes and you’re at one restaurant. A few more and there are many restaurants and stores. We ate dinner out every night at a different restaurant on Mambo beach (8 nights) and there were still plenty of options. The owner and Jacobien were great and easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. We used US dollars most of the trip. No problem. We did an island tour to taste iguana and blue Curacao (and more) it was nice. Overall: amazing place to stay. Entertainment is steps away if you want, or just relax and enjoy that wonderful lagoon if you’d rather (or both!). We also walked the cliffs to Jan Thiel beach. It was about 35 minutes and HOT. But so worth it! It felt like we just stumbled on this whole new world (that many other people had too). I would suggest to NOT follow the main path and venture off it and stay near the water. We did that on the way back and with the breeze, the walk was much more enjoyable. Plus, we got some stunning pictures of the beautiful coastline from that walk! My husband and I plan to be back

My husband and I stayed at this condo at the Blue Lagoon Resort this past January. We found the condo immaculate and the living space a nice size. Jacobien and her husband, onsite managers of the condo, were helpful and informative; they are wonderful people. Despite their best efforts, however, issues exist. For example, the electrical circuit in one of the ceiling lights would not stay on – unless my husband or I tapped it by standing on a chair. There are no lamps in the living area which made the space rather dim in the evening. The television is new but the old TV wall bracket is still on the wall. The rungs of the ladder getting into and out of the lagoon are slippery and covered in algae. My husband and I found them dangerous and would strongly suggest that they be replaced with ladder steps rather than rungs. There is no air conditioning and no ceiling fan in the living room/kitchen, and there were a number of days and evenings when the room was uncomfortably warm. The bedroom does have air conditioning but no ceiling fan. We would have preferred to open the windows at night but there were no screens, and Jacobien felt it would be safer to keep the windows closed. This is unfortunate. The owner had said that there was a grill for cooking but in fact there is a grill plate next to the gas stove in the kitchen area; using it resulted in a messy time-consuming cleanup. In terms of location, the condo is across from the commercial Sea Aquarium where they train dolphins to jump on command for crowds of onlookers; that did not appeal to me. In addition, the Sea Aquarium blocks most of the view of the ocean; instead, sitting on the deck, you often see and hear the Aquarium staff vacuuming and cleaning their site. However, the deck is right next to a lagoon which provided easy access to swimming and snorkeling. The Mambo beach area, steps away from the condo, is noisy and crowded. Better beaches are north of Willemstad.

Unbelievably great vacation at this condo. Everything the other reviewers described was spot on and then some. Hope to be back here some day.

This villa was in an ideal location with shopping and restaurants just a short walk away, snorkeling and swimming off the private dock and within minutes (by car) of downtown Willemstad and the beautiful less populated West End of the island. We enjoyed the diversity of activities and wish we could have stayed a few days longer to experience a little more. The catamaran ride out to Klein Curacao was one of our favorite things aside from just hanging out at the villa and enjoying our own little piece of paradise! Josie, the property manager, was amazing! She was super easy to communicate with and answered all our questions and took care of any issues that arose!

This place is fabulous the location is perfect if you need a little activity it is walking distance right next door at Mambo beach. We grocery shopped and cooked for ourselves most of the time in the very well appointed kitchen. Snorkeling right of our own private dock was as good as the hour drive we took for snorkeling as well. Swimming in the Caribbean every morning from sipping my morning tea then stepping right into the water! Can't imagine there could be a better place to stay in Curacao the pictures while beautiful do not do it justice. The property manager Maria was very helpful our entire experience was wonderful!

We spent 10 nights and we can't wait to go back! A superb location! Great for swimming, snorkeling, walking to restaurants / shopping, visits to aquarium, and for the highlight: relaxed days at the most beautiful terrace/deck in Curacao. Attention to details was key by Maria/Jose and Jo - always helpful and ready to support. They offer a cell phone that you can use during stay to call them or if you add a card to use for any local calls. Great! It is a wonderful place overall. I have shown pictures to my colleagues and friends and they are all aligning to try it too! Can't wait to go back! For swimmers it is paradise, you can go from sections w/o current to out in deep blue diving! Love it!

If your idea of total fun is being in the water all day, snorkeling right off your own deck and seeing tons of fish right there, watching dolphins practice their tricks from 20 ft away or even closer if you get into the water and go up to the fence, and sitting on your deck at night watching a sky full of stars....this is THE place for you. What a spot! In addition the resort has its own beach and pool, but we just swam in the lagoon all of the time with tons of fish, especially the big school of yellow tail fish under the walkway to the Seaquarium! We also snorkeled beyond that underpass over to Lion's Dive and Seaquarium beaches and reefs. The condo has everything you need except an oven (it has microwave and 4 burner stove), but who cooks that much on vacation? And if there are any questions or issues, texting Jose gets you a response in an instant. She and Jo also can arrange for taxi from the airport which is nice if you get in late at night as we did, and also rental car delivered and picked up right there at the condo. What a treat!!! A truly special place to stay!
