Great property, right in the heart of the village. Great communication with host

Wonderful location overlooking the Northstar ice rink. Ski storage locker on the first floor is great for keeping your equipment. Two minute walk to the lifts. Also very nice underground parking with easy access to the elevator that goes directly into your room - no trudging down the hallway with all your gear. Unit is in good condition for a ski village - a few dings but nothing major. Nice kitchen appliances, the gas oven worked perfectly. Well stocked kitchen for all of our cooking and a convenient mini grocery store just a 2 minute walk away for getting supplies. Hard to imagine a much better spot for a family ski trip!

We stayed here in March 2023. PROS: - Location is amazing. Great access from garage parking with the elevator opening right into the unit. - Great balcony that overlooks the skating rink and didn’t find it noisy - Plenty of room for 3 adults and 3 kids and can fit more CONS: - As some of the prior reviews mentioned, the place was not clean…and I mean not CLEANED. Our boys found a beer can in the bunk bed!? - None of the beds were clean or sheets changed - Towels from prior guest were still on the floor - Crumbs all over the counter and table - Garbage was not emptied - Dirty dishes in dishwasher - We ended up starting a load of towels and stripped the kids beds ourselves to wash the sheets so we could get them settled. We also started the dishwasher to get some clean plates. Not a great first few hours. - Also previously mentioned, there were no wine glasses, but I guess that’s a minor issue compared to the sheets/towel situation I contacted the owner and he sent over the cleaners, although we waited 1.5hrs for them to get there. We then sat at the dirty table for another 2hrs, while the cleaners cleaned the unit. Cleaners were great, but the whole situation was not. Epic snow conditions made up for it though!

Great place to stay if you want to stay in the village. Check in was super easy, parking was ten feet from the elevator (which opens directly into the room) and plenty of space for 3 adults and 3 kids.

Extremely convenient ski in/ski out location in Northstar village with an amazing view of the ice skating rink! The condo itself is rather spacious and actually nicer than listing photos, however, there are LOTS of repairs needing to be done and desperately needs a deep cleaning, or even a light dusting. I would NOT recommend this condo if you’re planning on entertaining or cooking meals, or are expecting a luxurious stay. The oven does not work, the ice machine is broken, there was ONE wine glass, knives are dull, and pots and pans are covered in leftover food and grease. Lots of dust on furniture, blinds, etc and crumbs on counters, tables and floor. Really have a hard time believing that a cleaning service comes in between each stay. However, despite all this, we really enjoyed our stay! The ski in/ski out location is unbeatable, and you can enjoy free live music in the evenings from the convenience of the balcony!

I’ve used VRBO for over a decade and never had such a bad experience as I did at this rental. The location was: Dirty: Meat juices and onion on cutting boards; Rooms not vacuumed Worn: Paint and carpet are trashed; Missing towel holders; Broken toilet paper holders Disrepair: Broken TVs; Broken audio equipment The Father seemed trustworthy but the Son is absolutely terrible. Refuses to pick-up the phone and/or return an email. Do yourself a favor: Spend your money elsewhere.

Check in was smooth, the elevator opens directly into the place. It was very clean and updated. First time doing ski in ski out and didn't realize how invaluable it is. Bringing my kids back during a break and then going right back up was a great experience. Will definitely be staying again

We are frequent users of VRBO and have never left a bad review before this. My wife checked in and the property was filthy. Lights did not work, etc. Looked nothing like the pictures. She decided that she could not stay there and contacted the host. The host promised to refund our money so we checked into another property. After frequent attempts to contact the host afterwards, we realized that he would not honor his offer to refund our money. Do not stay here!

We loved our stay and we will be back!

The property is in a great location but it’s not clean or well kept! I would not rent this unit again but would stay in the lodge again.

The spacious balcony offered a beautiful view of the heart of the village and a front row seat away from the crowd for the New Years firework show! Luxurious & convenient. Perfect for our family of all ages. We definitely plan to stay here again.

My family loved the location and view of the condo.

I booked our place for my family to stay for my wedding back in February 2021 because I was planning ahead and making sure my family had somewhere to stay. I paid in full for Friday and Saturday night for August 20th and 21st for my wedding weekend 1,033 total with fees. Then went on to plan all the rest of my wedding a second time due to Covid. Then 3 weeks before my wedding I wake up to an alert on my phone it the middle of the night at midnight saying my room for 10 people to stay has been canceled. So I panic because now all my closest family coming to visit out of town for my wedding has no where to stay! And everywhere else is booked up by now that sleeps this many people because it is too close to the date. So I look to see if they are unavailable that day due to an emergency or something wrong with our room. Nope. They have canceled me without contacting me at all, 3 weeks before my wedding and relisted the exact same place available for booking the exact same dates it is now just going to cost me 2,059. So I contacted their 24 help contact at 1:00am and explained what happened. They told me it is completely messed up, very bad behavior, and they will fine the owner but that’s all they can do. So I go to sleep, wake up the next day and call them again to talk to someone different because I don’t understand how this is ok. How can they not have a policy in place that a renter can’t cancel at that late of notice and increase the price I have to pay by over 1,000 when I planned ahead of time and booked it in February so I wouldn’t have to be worried about my family not having a place to stay for my wedding on top of all the other wedding stress including Covid, fires, and general last minute planning. HOW DOES VRBO NOT HAVE A POLICY IN PLACE THAT PREVENTS THIS FROM HAPPENING TO PEOPLE. IT IS SO MESSED UP. The second customer service person I talked to told me the same thing. They see what he did to me and see how wrong it is and that he will be reported and penalized. But I still was forced to pay an extra 1,000 or my family wouldn’t have a place to stay for my wedding because at this late of notice there was no where else available to book for 10 people. To summarize. This person lacks integrity, morals, common human decency. And will scam you out of money without even contacting you.

Firstly, I booked the property 2 months in advance and then the owner cancelled me without notice or reason 2 weeks before the trip. I then rebooked for a portion of my original stay and had the following problems: 1. 2 of the 3 toilet paper holders were broken 2. The window opener in the spare bathroom was broken 3. The lights above the stove were inoperable. 4. I got stuck in the queen bed spare bedroom for an hour because the door would not open from the inside. The door knob is not functioning properly. 5. Three of the four master bathtub jets were not working. 6. The faucet handle in the master bathroom sink was loose. 7. The wine refrigerator was not working 8. The ice maker in the kitchen refrigerator was not working.

It is really a great place. Big rooms, comfortable beds, and open floor plan with a large kitchen if your planning on cooking your meals. BBQs are located across thexskate rink for community use. Garage parking located below with an elevator which opens into the condo.

Absolutely beautiful and spacious. This condo was exactly as described. The balcony itself made the whole stay worth it. Ours was a family trip for 5 people, my wife, myself and three young adult children, ages 18 to 23. We wanted a place that had enough room for all of us to spread out and also have some sort of entertainment for our family. This condo at the Northstar Village was absolutely incredible. The private elevator access directly to the condo, the garage and the private lobby was so cool. My wife and I spent much of the time hanging out on the huge 4th floor balcony which overlooks the skating rink and recreation area all surrounded by the beautiful trees of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The Northstar Village had plenty activities for our family and the pizza place was excellent. There was also a Starbucks right below our condo. Our host was also very helpful and responsive any time we had a question. We loved our stay here and definitely plan to return.

My family had an incredible stay. The location was convenient and the condo was comfortable and spacious. We had a delightful stay and look forward to returning.

Due to COVID travel restrictions, we opted not to fly home for Thanksgiving with 3 children. Instead, we traveled 2 hours to this gorgeous condo for a week of skiing opening week at the resort. We couldn't have asked for much more! The condo is beautiful!! There was more than enough room for my family of 5 and my mom. I saw some reviews about how noisy it is staying in the village, but I'm a light sleeper and still wasn't bothered by it. We will definitely book this room again when we go back to Northstar!

The apartment is excellent. Rooms are all comfortable and the living space is large for a big group. Can't beat the location and high end feel of the home. Extremely convenient

My family of 6 stayed for 3 nights. The condo was in excellent condition, with nice furnishings (as pictured) & had everything needed to entertain another family for dinner. The condo was very clean. The owner was easy to communicate with. The check in and out process was very easy. The location is excellent. We would definitely stay again.

Avoid at all costs

This property is beautiful, as advertised - great size for our family. Beds were amazing and comfy. The smoke alarm was a little touchy and went off every time we opened the oven, but other that that it couldn't have been more perfect. We would love to come back and stay again. Great location. Size of unit was perfect for our family. Owner was very responsive when I called after not receiving check in instructions. I wouldn't rate this as a luxury unit, as there were MANY repairs needed throughout the unit and a multiple areas that needed to be cleaned (random splatter stains on walls and furniture). It worked out for our family as we were only there to sleep, but had we booked it to be in the room more I would have been extremely dissatisfied. I did email the owner with the long list of repairs/cleanliness. Hopefully they will follow up on those so future guests won't have the same experience.

really loved the connected garage structure leading directly into the condo. the condo is really spacious and seems like the owner added new flat screens to all the rooms. we were there during a massive snow storm but being steps from the slopes made it perfect. cant wait to come back next year.

I couldn't have been happier after choosing this place to rent for the weekend. It is a large, spacious, very new and luxurious condo. It has an amazing balcony which over looks the main part of the village with the ice skating rink. The lobby is right to a Starbucks as well, and it's a couple hundred feet walk to the Gondola to go up to ski/snowboard. The owner was very responsive to any need as well. Definitely will come back here next time in Tahoe.
