The cabin and property were exactly as described. The lake was out the back door with a great dock to fish and relax. The porch all around the cabin had more options to sit and relax. The cabin was clean and well furnished. The owner introduced his self and was there if we needed anything. It is in a good peaceful location but close enough to stores if we needed anything. There is a Kroger and Dollar General a short distance away. We caught a lot of fish. One of the catfish was huge and fun to catch. Overall a very nice stay and will definitely go back.

The property was peaceful, and clean. There was ducks you could feed and fishing was great.

This place was magical! The water surrounding the cabin is very peaceful and we loved feeding the ducks!! I would say you definitely need a truck or 4x4 to navigate the driveway but if you are looking for a place to unwind and unplug this is it!

This property and cabin were breathtaking. We enjoyed our stay very much. Just what we needed to escape the stress of busy work schedules and responsibilities. We would recommend this to anyone who just wants to get away from it all and find some peace. It was truly a blessing for us to stay at Peaceful Valley.

Our stay was wonderful , relaxing and absolutely beautiful. We will return back next year. Fishing from the boat was very enjoyable. And we cant forget our lil duck friends. They like bread and popcorn.

The listing underestimates the property first of all. It is much better than you can imagine. Peaceful Valley is exactly the proper name. Now, add 2 of the nicest people have ever met in Timmy and Rose. Spoke with Timmy almost daily. What a good man and family. I will say that Timmy and I are friends. The Island Cabin is everything described and more. Great communication with the owners. The ease of checking in was great. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Close enough to town if you needed anything. Great place to come to for relaxation and rest. We wasn’t disappointed and even caught a few fish. Hope to return one day!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay, it was very peaceful and the views were beautiful, we enjoyed feeding the fish and the ducks were quite entertaining, loved the different birds and dragonflies. We walked around some and went to the creek. We enjoyed the calmness away from the hectic busy life. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property with us, very clean and description of the property was just as described, thanks again. Only negative, it stated it had a blow dryer and it did not, lol. But all positive all the way around, definately would recommend the stay to other if they are looking for a peaceful and calming stay.

My wife and I needed to get away, and when she found this cabin on the lake, we fell in love with it we have never stayed in a place, so beautiful and so peaceful. We are definitely going to be back. This will now be our new yearly vacation together.

This little cabin has everything you need to enjoy time away from cellphones and Wi-Fi! We enjoyed getting up early and going out for a stroll on the fishing boat as well as making breakfast on the black stone overlooking the pond on the porch. It’s only about 20 minutes from State Dock to Lake Cumberland where we were able to enjoy boating days with our friends who stayed elsewhere. Timmy was very nice upon checking in and we enjoyed getting to talk to him for a bit! If you want peace and quiet, this is the place to be! 😀

The cabin we stayed in was cozy, very clean (you could have eaten off the floor clean) inviting and has everything you need for a short, or a long stay! The furniture and the bed were quite comfy, along with the outdoor seating as well! The peacefulness....if you want quiet, and I mean quiet, this is your place! We were welcomed each morning with an orchestra of birds singing, and once the ducks knew we were up and moving, they came over to visit! We fell in love with those ducks! Due to a cold spring the fish weren't biting much, but you can visually see there are plenty in there to catch! We did however, catch about fifteen fish!! We kept seeing a VERY large bass that we named Walter from the movie "On Golden Pond!" Haha! Having a boat at your fingertips was great, not only to fish from, but also to float around the lake! We left Illinois without a tan, and returned with a tan! In the evening hours, we sat on the wrap around deck which was a huge plus, and listened to an owl who visited every single evening of our five day stay! The Blackstone Griddle was amazing! I cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner on it! We will be buying one soon, just like Timmy said we would! OH, I can't forget Timmy! He is definitely one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting with you Timmy!! Thank you for your hospitality and letting us relax and recoup in your beautiful cabin. We will be back!!

My husband and I visited the peaceful valley island cabin for a spring break getaway from our busy lives in Michigan. This place was everything we needed. It was very quiet and peaceful. We caught lots of fish, grilled on the black stone every night, and enjoyed the peacefulness. The cabin was very clean and tiny and super accommodating. We had some nice conversations with Timmy, he was very friendly and helpful. We hope to return!

This is a beautiful cabin and location and the hosts couldn’t be better. We had a great time and loved being surround by water. It was too cold to fish although we gave it a short try, but we are hoping to return again during a warmer season. Everything you could need was provided and we enjoyed Timmy’s chats and feeding the friendly ducks. Highly recommend.

This was our second visit to this cabin, we just love it there! The owners are excellent hosts, very welcoming and accommodating. Perfect spot for some R&R, especially fishing. We can’t wait to book our next visit for the spring. The only thing I wish they had was an internet connection.
