We had a wonderful time at this location. The beach is beautiful and great for swimming. However the pictures are deceiving because there are no chairs at the beach for a campfire and although there are 4 bunk beds in the upstairs they were to close to the ceiling for our people to sleep in them.

The cottage has an old fashioned, "up north" kind of a vibe. We enjoyed both the grill and the fire pit. One of the days, it was really hot and the cottage doesn't have AC. Thankfully, the caretaker dropped off a couple of fans! The beach is amazing! Plan to stay again in the future.

Beautiful beach and good location, easy to get to the rest of DC. The cabin itself needs some major updating.

The cabin is quaint and reminds me of the family cabin we used to have. The beach is lovely! We hope to come back next year!

Our family loved our stay at this cottage. It was clean and had plenty of space for all of us to relax and unwind. My favorite feature was the screened in porch where I could hear and see the rolling waves on the beach of Lake Michigan, which was just steps from the front door. The kids loved the beach and my husband was a big fan of the fire pit. We were even able to host a couple meals with extended family who drove up to grill out with us before enjoying the sunset on their drive home. It was so convenient to the shopping in Sturgeon Bay, but felt pretty far removed from a hectic city experience. The neighbors were friendly and the cabin was perfect. We will be making our stay a yearly family tradition.

Love this place. This property would be even better if there was more than just one regular bed in a bedroom, and shower filtration for the water, but ya just can’t beat the location. You can’t!

The water quality is terrible. There is a strong smell, making it undrinkable and a challenge to even think about taking a shower. The house could use some attention; there isn't a light on the stairway, ceiling lights have pull-strings, the stairway carpet is dirty, the bunkbed mattresses are rock hard, there isn't enough living room seating... The location and view are amazing, but, we won't book this location again.

property is right in front of the beach, it feels very much private. Forget about cell service, you won't get much. Also, if you like AC in the summer then don't expect it here, NO AC. Very nice location to just relax and enjoy the beach. We didn't wander much into the town because we didn't really know where the town was, so it was difficult to locate. We did enjoy using the grill and eating outdoors. The owner needs a new cleaning person because the house was filthy. Upon entering is this old stinky, dirty, dingy couch. Looks and smells like it's been recycled from the alley and never cleaned. We couldn't sit in the living room, mostly gathered in the kitchen or dining area. Floors looked like they haven't been mopped in forever, we had to go to target and mop the whole place since we had a lot of kids who do not wear shoes s in the house. The upstairs is all carpeted, so .... yeah not for us. The carpet just looks very old and stains everywhere. We found this blood stain on a wall, very disgusting. One thing for it to be old but cleanliness is very important especially when you have to bring your own pillows and sheets. You expect the place to be nice and clean and it was just not that.

Nice house and great view of the lake. Wonderful beach with a fire ring and bench. I only wish that no linens and towels was stated earlier.

This place was perfect for some Lake Michigan relaxing!

Kay was prompt and helpful with any questions and problems. The cabin was clean and beautiful. Internet access worked well for our group but there was no cell reception for most of our phones. We will definitely check into staying here if we are ever in the area again.

Truly enough cannot be said about this location. The view is beyond amazing and it is close enough to Sturgeon Bay and the entrance to the peninsula to be able to enjoy everything without being right in the city. The house is very clean and has lots of room to spread out. The kitchen is small so we didn’t do as much cooking as we had planned but it did have the pots and utensils that we needed. My only suggestion would be to include things in the listing such as The fact that you need to bring your own sheets and towels. I was so thankful I read through everything the night before we left because otherwise I would’ve completely missed that. All in all I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Property is at a great location. Lot of things you can outside on the beach. Inside the property was not so good. Couch was old and dirty. Hot water was stinking. Rooms were jam packed with bunk beds. It would have been nice to have queen bed in the rooms instead. There were no bed sheets or comfertors. On one of the pillow, there were lot of hairs. Vacuum cleaner was not working. You can not lock the property with the keys provided.

We had a wonderful time in this space which was perfect for our family gathering! The community was so kind, the lakefront so relaxing. The space has a grill, fire pit, some board games and lots of space to spread out inside. The well water took some getting used to and the internet was a little unstable, but who even needs it when enjoying the great outdoors. Located close to so many cool things. I will definitely keep the space in mind for future vacationing in Door County.

The cabin is really great. The bedrooms are a little funky (one queen bed, and all others are twin bunk beds). Great place for kids! We were there to enjoy the outdoors and this is a great place for that. We were on the beach a lot. The private road between the house and beach was great for walks. Everyone in the area was very friendly. We would stay here again!

I rented two of the properties located next door to one another for a large family gathering. We had a fantastic time - the location is amazing. It's across a quiet street, just a hop, skip and a jump away from a beach, beach fire pit and lake! The properties themselves are not well maintained. I'm not a super picky person - I can overlook cobwebs and dust. However, broken screens that let in mosquitos, leaking (puddle) toilets that create a slipping hazard, mold in bathrooms, leaking fridge and no window air conditioning units is a bit of a let down. I'm also not a fan of having to provide all the linens for the stay. Overall, great family getaway if the weather allows you to spend the majority of time on the beach/lake!

We were actually renting the house next to this one a few years ago but we all agreed this one was a bit roomier. We were 5 adults and for us just ok. We wouldn't pack 12 people in it but with little kids it probably works. The cabin is old but clean which was important to us. The owner is very responsive and the neighbors are super nice. We had some nice conversations and didn't just feel like visitors...If well water is not your thing you might want to bring some bottled water for making coffee and such. We all agreed we need it for our coffee taste 😀 other than that the water was ok. We can only tell good things about our vacation in this house and we definitely will be back soon. Property is beautiful the neighbors are super friendly the house is sufficient. Only thing you have to prepare for is everything is bunkbeds and if you are tall you may be uncomfortable in the smaller beds. Thankfully for us this was not an issue. Property owner is super helpful and responsive.

Can’t beat the short stroll to the quiet beach. Very relaxing. House was just ok but was all we needed for our trip.

Excellent annual getaway for the family, the beach is awesome and the location was perfect. The place fit all 8 of us just fine. Glad we brought a portable gas grill the wind from the lake makes it a little challenging for the charcoal grill. The only issue we had was I sent a message a week before the stay with a question but never heard back. Otherwise we would recommend this place because of location and sandy beach.

Greatest thing about the property is easy access to the beautiful sandy beach and ability to have campfires on the beach. The cabin is truly ‘rustic’ which was ok but definitely could use better opening windows and/or air conditioning. On warm days the cabin is quite hot. Neighbors are close, but it is also wonderfully quiet and woodsy road/area. Overall we had a really great time.

The cottage is close to Lake Michigan and lake access is great. The cottage is quaint and has personality. The beach is lovely but only 2 chairs are provided for this rental which has sleeping for 12 people. It was not mentioned until the confirmation a few weeks before our trip that we would need to supply our own bedding and towels. There were just 2 hand towels available for the kitchen and bathrooms. The water had a very strong sulfur smell to the point that some of our family refused to shower. Also the refrigerator has a leak and there is a plastic box that says do not remove. The plastic box ended up filling up with water and ruining our food. The homemade beds were not very comfortable. If you are looking for close access to the lake and glamping this is the place for you. In summary the neighbors were great and the location was nice. The cottage is cute and has character yet lacks amenities. If you are traveling from out of state like we were it was a real hassle.

Such a wonderful little cabin in a fantastic location. Substantially nicer than I assumed it would be going into it. Rustic, but in a charming way. Our group enjoyed this location substantially. The owner should hire a photographer to take better photos of the cabin and the area, because the ones on the listing do not do it justice at all. So wonderful. It would've been nice to have another larger bed, but our group made due with the bunks.
