Historic Truckee River House
C'est une propriété unique en son genre. Cela a une signification historique en tant que Women's Wyethia Garden Club au début des années 1900, avec une grande et belle salle de réunion, une cuisine et une salle de bain qui, au fil des ans, ont été remodelées et ajoutées. Le niveau d'entrée à l'étage a encore la grande belle salle avec un foyer au gaz, un système stéréo surround et une télévision à écran plat. Le coin repas se trouve également dans cette grande pièce. La cuisine donne sur le salon / salle à manger et dispose d'une vaisselle et d'appareils électroménagers à service complet. Le pont arrière donne sur la rivière Truckee et a accès au niveau inférieur et à la cour. Entrer dans cette grande pièce à partir de ce qui ressemble à une petite entrée principale est vraiment à couper le souffle. Il y a un barbecue à gaz, une table de patio et des chaises sur le pont.
En bas se trouvent les deux chambres, chacune avec leur propre salle de bain. Le maître a une salle de bain plus grande avec une grande douche. La deuxième chambre a une belle salle de bain carrelée et une vue magnifique sur la rivière. Les deux chambres ont des portes privées sur le pont inférieur extérieur. La plus grande chambre principale a une télévision à écran plat et un lecteur DVD. Laveuse et sécheuse pleine grandeur sont dans le couloir en bas.
Je viens d'ajouter un tout nouveau matelas king et un tout nouveau matelas complet dans les chambres, sur la base des suggestions des locataires pour un sommeil plus confortable. J'adore les matelas Tuft et Needle! Les deux chambres ont maintenant des rideaux pleins pour la couverture du matin .... J'aime me réveiller dans l'obscurité, mais pas tout le monde!
Endormez-vous en écoutant le son de la rivière Truckee qui passe très activement. L'emplacement de cette maison est idéal pour profiter des charmants aspects historiques du centre-ville de Truckee. Une promenade en ville est souvent plus rapide qu'un trajet en voiture et un parc! À l'entrée de cette rue à sens unique, il y a un café pour une promenade matinale et un café. Tous les accessoires de cette maison sont de haute qualité et de bon goût. Toutes les activités récréatives sont à proximité. Wonderful, relaxing, comfortable stay at this riverside home. Very attentive host, and well appointed home convenient to old town Truckee. The beauty of the Truckee River was always in view or earshot. We enjoyed every moment.

The house is beautiful and has many amenities. Kitchen well-equipped. However, check with the host first if there is anything listed that you are depending on to be there, as there are some things missing.
Even though there wasn’t snow, we had a lovely time in this lovely house. We would definitely enjoy visiting again!

this is a great place to stay at for your winter vacation. It’s only 10 minutes away from Northstar, and pretty much all the Truckee restaurants are in walking distance. The downstairs bedrooms are really nice and so are the attached private baths. Upstairs is a large living room area with a state of the AV entertainment system. Plus there’s a well stocked kitchen. We had a great time.

After an 11 hr drive from SF Airport where we were turned around due to snowfall an hour from Truckee on Rt 80 and had to drive over to and up Rt 50 all the way around Lake Tahoe's east side, we were rewarded with this amazing house on the river.
It's a good thing we made the effort because everything was shut down for the next two days in blizzard conditions. We enjoyed adventure walks, and precious down time with my son and his girlfriend who live in CA. 3 days of epic skiing followed.
Other than a few dated, but working, appliances in the kitchen, everything about this house was perfect. Overall newly renovated with two bedrooms with full baths with radiant floor heat and very comfortable beds. Up stairs offers a large room with a very effective gas fireplace overlooking the river with a lovely deck and grill. The driveway was just long enough to fit our two vehicles. It was cleared a couple times a day, but the whole town was overwhelmed by this rare storm so we had to do some shoveling. Dinny, the owner, could not have been more available and helpful throughout our stay. We were very happy with this rental. We hope to return next year!

This is my absolute favorite place to stay in all of Tahoe. My 3 favorite things are the location, the adorable house with a great layout and giant open living room, and that it has everything you need! And I’ll add one more, the heated bathroom floors and the steamer in the shower is amazing after a day on the mountain!

We love this cozy house and keep coming back. The main floor is open and has great light and river views off the deck. The two bedrooms downstairs are perfect for two couples.

We loved our stay here. Walking to town is great, and the river view makes you feel like it’s not too urban. Train noise is minimal in the bedrooms since they are on the bottom. Kitchen was adequate. The place could use a deep clean and better linens, but it wasn’t a problem. We really would like to stay again!

This home was WONDERFUL. I had thought it'd be cozy and small, but we found the space to be much larger than the pictures seem to indicate. There were thoughtful details around the property that enabled us to feel at home right away, like labeling the light switches, basics stocked in the kitchen, and games/puzzles.
A few things that made this place stand out are:
Location -- it is really nice to be in downtown Truckee. We visited to see the snow and it was really nice to be able to walk for coffee/meals without dealing with snow. This home really is in the heart of charming Truckee.
Radiant Heat: We visited in the winter to have snow time, and this home was so cozy and warm with radiant heat. What a difference it makes!
Set Up: Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and there is an additional bathroom on the top level -- so nice! The layout enabled us to be together without being on top of each other. The view of the river is really lovely as well, and was a really special view you can't find many places.
Dinny was also a super-responsive host and made sure we had everything we needed. What a joy to stay here!

My family stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed this beautiful home! The house was cozy and comfortable with an upper and lower deck with beautiful river views. The location is walking distance from downtown Truckee and the River Legacy Trail, which is an easy paved hiking/biking trail that follows along the Truckee river. I would highly recommend and definitely want to stay again.

Second stay was just as good as the first!
If you want to be on top of the Truckee river and have short stroll to downtown then this is the spot.
A March weather bonus was enjoying wine and cheese on the sunny deck.

On the river, close to shops, coffee, sports shop and downtown Truckee. Beautiful inside. High-end everything inside, kitchen, bathrooms, living room.
Lack of extra pillows. Steep stairs not for small dogs or people with mobility issues. Waze took us in circles. Need to use different app.

Favorite house in Truckee!!
We love staying here so much and hope to keep coming back. The location in town, on the River, and so close to skiing is a dream come true. This is home away from home and we love every minute of it.

Great Stay in Truckee!
We loved Dinny's house and will definitely book again! The main room is spacious and open with a great view of the Truckee River. The kitchen was better stocked than most with extras like foil, saran wrap, spices, oils, etc. Easy walk to downtown Truckee. The house was clean and welcoming and the water pressure in the downstairs bathrooms is no joke! A great place for four people to hang out, eat, play games and watch movies while in Truckee.
