This condo was super nice and the complex has an amazing pool, snack shack, and beach. The food and drinks were really good and very convenient to have right there on the property. We will definitely return!!

This unit was nicely updated and very comfortable. The amenities were great. Nice pool and snack bar that served drinks and great food from 12-4:30. We will hopefully stay here again in the future!

This property is a gem. From the location, to the furnishings, to the community, pool/swimming area/snorkeling, beach shack, bar, and grill, and working with Nancy – the best VRBO experience I’ve ever had. This property has it all plus more than you ever thought you needed or wanted. Don’t hesitate to book this one.

Just spent 10 amazing days in St. Croix at the amazing Gentle Winds Condos. We stayed in unit L4 and it was wonderful. The unit was recently redone and the finishes are amazing. The unit is very comfortable and it has great space for a large family. The beds are very comfortable. There were plenty of towels for showering as well as plenty of towels for the beach. The unit has several games to play with a family and the internet and cell service in this unit was amazing. The beach and pool area is better than I have experienced at the luxury hotels. This is a very low key complex which is exactly what we were looking for. The views of the ocean and the stars cannot be beat. The beach shack for food was closed due to "low-season" in August, but it looks amazing. We will be back. Do not hesitate to stay here, you will not be sorry. We loved it.

We enjoyed not only the condo, but also all of the amenities of Gentle Winds. Having the pool and beach right there to walk to was wonderful. The condo was newly renovated and perfect for a family.

Nancy's condo is lovely and comfortable. The sleeping accommodations were perfect for our family with older teens who no longer like to share beds. The pool and beach literally are just steps away. There are plenty of chairs and tiki huts for a comfortable day at the beach, which feels almost like you never left home! The instructions we received prior to arrival were detailed and perfect for a simple arrival. The kitchen is well supplied, and we ate in a lot. Overall a great stay, and I would highly recommend.

Awesome location. Very private and quiet from 10 pm - 9am. All the amenities you could want. Kitchen was excellent and we really enjoyed the condo.

Our family had a great week at Gentle Winds in the last week of June 2022. The townhome was recently upgraded and included very nice furniture and amenities. The large island was great for everyone to be around eating and/or playing games. The Gentle Winds property could not be a better place to have a fun / relaxing family vacation. The facilities are great, the pool was right by the beach and there was also a fantastic patio bar / restaurant that served delicious food and pool drinks every afternoon.

The condo was great. The layout was ideal. The property at Gentle Winds was beautiful. Pool and beach and bar you couldn’t ask for more.

We were looking for a week away and definitely got it. As we were there in June, the complex was almost empty. We had the beach and pool to ourselves almost the entire time. The condo was very nice although just a bit warm as the breezes didn't blow through as much as we thought but the air conditioning in the bedrooms allowed us to sleep great. It rained heavily one night and there was a small leak into the bedroom downstairs but rain didn't last long and it was over the dresser so easy to deal with. The kids loved having breakfast at the bar every day and coffee on the amazing porch was fabulous. The walk to the beach and pool was no issue. The beach was cleaned each morning by the condo and swimming in the area was good for the kids. There were some rocks so beach shoes required but nothing too bad. Off to the sides were rocky areas for exploring some small pools and look for sea glass. We walked the beach at least a few time a day looking for "treasure". The location was easy to get to everything on the island by rental jeep although there wasn't much "super close" - it wasn't a hassle at all to go into C'stead or down the way to Cane Bay for lunch and dinners. Overall the trip was amazing and the condo provided a wonderful place to land and just relax. I would definitely go back and would definitely choose this condo again!

Gentle Winds is a peaceful cluster of low rise condos with a decent beach & pool in a nice area of St. Croix. This was our first time at unit L4. The positives were: excellent view, good access to beach & updated main floor. On the negative side, the unit below us was being refurbished & we had to suffer through 2 days of jackhammer work. Only the bedrooms are airconditioned, & it really needs central air. The top floor needs refurbishing & the spiral staircase is very narrow - making it virtually impossible to lug suitcases to the master bedroom. There were also a few minor problems like the front door being swollen to the point where it is extremely hard to open or close, but overall the unit is decent. The "beach shack" serves great lunches & Gentle Winds has recently added pickleball lines to one of the tennis courts. Ping pong, shuffle board & corn hole games are also available.

Property was very well maintained. Condo unit was in excellent condition with upgraded kitchen (which was beautiful) and upgraded bathrooms. And the snack shack by the pool had gourmet food and drinks (lots to choose from). Nick is not a cook but a chef, you will not be disappointed with the food. Absolutely have to try the ahi tuna nachos and seared salmon salad. Everyone at the property was friendly. Owner of our Condo (Nancy) was very accommodating and responded very quickly with questions. Nancy’s Condo was decorated with a beach feel that felt comfortable, had way more than expected in the kitchen (pots,pans,dishes, etc…), plenty of beach towels and a ton of snorkeling gear. Looking forward to coming back - hopefully soon.

Gentle winds property is gorgeous. House had most of the accommodations we needed. You will need to rent a car. Beach on property was great. Kids loved the snorkeling. Beach bar was a plus too.

I received quick responses leading up to my trip to St. Crioux from the property owner. After arriving to the condo and reaching out to share my disappointment of the property, I never heard back from the property manager/owner. Upon our families arrival, it was brought to our attention by the cleaning service that our unit in all the common areas, i.e., living space, kitchen, sitting area, etc. did not have A/C. She expressed this is a common occurrence when guests arrive - guests aren't aware of the entire condo not having A/C and that we should ask more questions.... She then began apologizing.... Wall units were in the three bedrooms, again, the quality of the unit was not pleasing. The refrigerator had alot of rust on the outside of the doors, the walls around the A/C units in the bedrooms had rust, some areas of the walls had falling off sheetrock - the shower faucets had alot of rust in two of the bathrooms... The beach on the property was very rocky, so my family and I didn't enjoy the beach - we did enjoy the pool area (I could've swam in a pool at my residence, so this wasn't worth the trip to St. Crouix). I felt somewhat safe on the property, however, didn't feel safe anywhere else. Our family found the people in the restaurants were very rude - the Beach Shack on the Gentle Winds property served decent food, however the service was terrible - very rude.... as if they hated the job and were miserable. Our family was shocked most of the stay and couldn't wait to return back to our home. Maybe if we were at a different property, we would've had a better experience.

We stayed at Nancy's condo in Gentle Winds, and had a great time. The condo was clean and very conveniently located (~20 minutes to the airport, ~10 minutes to Christiansted and ~15 minutes to Frederiksted). It was only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and the beach bar had great lunch options at reasonable prices. We played tennis as well, and the courts were well maintained . We drove to the courts as these were located near the property entrance, but it's not a long walk if you prefer walking. Nancy was a great host and was very responsive. She also provided a GREAT welcome letter with tips on great local restaurants and activities.

Nancy was a great host. She had lost of amenities in the condo and everything was close to the pool and beach. Truly fully stocked and plenty of towels. We could have left some things home. Definitely check out this place and enjoy St Croix. Will definitely return and tell our friends about it !!!

The Estate Salt River property was outstanding with a wonderful view from the living area and the balconies to start our each day. Nothing was lacking to make our stay in St. Croix memorable. It was our first time in St. Croix and our getaway from rainy Seattle since the lockdown. It was most welcome! Elaine & Ernie Alvarez

We had a wonderful stay at Nancy’s condo. The condo itself was very spacious, and the furnishings were perfect! Everything was perfectly placed and felt very much like home. The kitchen was a bit dated, but what made up for it was that it had EVERYTHING you could possibly need in a kitchen to cook up any meal, honestly I could not have asked for anything more! The community was wonderful and very welcoming and friendly. Upon arrival we met Sylvia who was prepping the condo for our arrival. She was a pleasure to meet, and gave us a wealth of knowledge about the island and where to shop. After talking to her, it felt like we had known her for years. The beach area was enjoyable and never crowded. It had a nice sandy area area in the water that we could play in for hours. The sunsets were amazing. Descent snorkeling just outside the roped area. My family loved the beach games and enjoyed playing them daily. The pool area was also such a great asset. Pristine and never crowded. The beach shack served up food and drinks daily and provided an amazing atmosphere! Wonderful beaches and restaurants a short drive away. We fell in love with the island and already planning another visit and stay at Nancy’s condo.

Property was a condo rental stationed right on the water near the Salt River in St Croix, safely away from all of the population density on the island that allowed for a quiet and enjoyable vacation. Condo HOA kept the area very clean, they were very helpful, opened the beach bar every day and were perfect hosts. Nancy, the owner, was very helpful and communicated clearly with us before and during the stay. Would definitely rent again.
