I loved the house! It was perfect for everything that we needed for our short trip over the holidays to the beach. Cindi was wonderful to work with and easy to contact. The house is so close to the beach and then close to everything in Kitty Hawk and was super clean!! It was such a great stay!

The pictures on line reeled me in but once you walk in, there is so much more that you don"t see from the pictures like the bamboo beams in the sunroom, the crown moldings,the well organized and equipped kitchen the expensive liquid hand soap not the watered down grocery store brand which you usually find. A hidden surprise in the bathroom that i didn"t discover for 2 days was the storage behind the mirrors and who lines these shelves? Cindy is very detail oriented and it shows in all of her design elements. The outside is equally impressive with the squishy soft and green meticulously manicured lawn.The landscaping and flowers were beautiful. Cindy and John truly show alot of love for their property and they are very responsive throughout the process.Cindy i hope to meet you next time.This is truly a home away from home and we can't wait to come back. Lively up yourself was perfect for a first-time Outer Banks trip! The house was very clean. We loved the large kitchen that was nicely stocked, and the backyard was great as well. Close enough to the beach to walk, which is exactly what I want when I go to the beach. I loved the proximity to grocery stores, and basically anything else you could need. I would definitely return!

I loved the cozy little home. It was perfect for the much needed getaway for my Mom and myself. It was immaculately clean ehen we arrived. I loved the back yard where we spent a lot of our time. The hot tub is HUGE and I loved the natural look of the pagota with the vines going upward and making the roof of the area. Actually I loved all the landscaping. You can tell the owner takes pride in the home. I would definitely recommend this home for a relaxing time at the beach and even more of a plus: the beach is in walking distance as well as a Dairy Queen. The owner is fast to respond also and very nice.

Upon arrival we texted the owner to let her know we had arrived. The door combination to enter the property was so easy. The property was immaculate inside and out. The kitchen was roomy & when stocked. The 3 bedrooms were very accommodating for 4 adult women. The outdoor shower was very nice with hot & cold running water and also a outside spigot to wash sand off your feet. The beach was a block & 1/2 away. Also for your convenience there was a deli/grocery/gas station a block away with ice & great deli sandwiches which we got to take to the beach. I will definitely be coming back to stay here again. Cindi & her husband were easy to reach if needed and responded very quickly to our texts. No issues with this property at all.

It made our vacation better; it was like home away from home. The cute decor the flowers the fenced in yard with grass was amazing ! The house was stocked, clean, and just all around amazing. Would definitely stay here again :)

This was our first time traveling to the OBX and we absolutely loved it. This is the perfect little get away. The house is decorated so nicely and it is very clean. The kitchen is stocked with everything you may need. Communication with Cindi is perfectly easy and she made herself available if there was anything we needed. Check in/out was also simple. We loved the location and how close it was to the beach. The outside area at the house was great with the hammock and hot tub and it was fenced in. We loved it. It was a little oasis on its own. You need to pack your own sheets (there is 1 queen and 2 double beds)...and towels. Other than that bring yourself. The only thing that was tricky with two teenagers is the bedrooms are connected and you need to go through one to get to the other. We just put the sleeper in the back room and it worked out fine! Thanks again Cindi for a wonderful stay!! Would not hesitate to book this vacation home!!

This is a perfect vacation house for a family of four. Everything in the house is updated and impeccable. Yard and landscaping are beautiful. House is very well stocked. Kitchen had all the cookware you need to cook in if you want to. Walk out the front door, make a left and you’re on the beach in two minutes. Was a pleasure to stay at Cindi and John’s house!

Cindi’s little cottage is absolutely amazing. It is decorated in a very homey feel. It comes with so many necessities from items for the beach (which is straight down the street 1 1/2 blocks), books and games to toilet paper, Cindi provides it all. All rooms have AC units except the middle bedroom but if the doors are left open, it stays somewhat cool. The 2 bathrooms are actually 1 indoor (sink, toilet, shower) and an outdoor shower. There are several areas to lounge and just relax.

The beach cottage was beautiful! Short walk to the beach! Very clean upon arrival. Well stocked with necessities.. the back yard was gorgeous!! We will stay with John and Cindi again!!

The house is clean and well cared for with fun decorations and a beautiful kitchen. The back yard is amazingly private and unlike most of the other houses in the area. Having the fenced and private back yard is great with little kids and the hot tub is perfect.

Best property we’ve stayed at. High end finishes, stocked with anything you could need and more, only a block from the beach. Standouts include multiple outdoor spaces from front patio to picnic table, hammock, hot tub, and enclosed front porch. Extremely clean and comfortable. Would definitely return.

I chose this house because it looked a lot newer and cuter than others in the same price range. It was definitely a cozy place! It’s super close to the beach and to everything you need. The hot tub made a big difference on several days when it was too cold and windy for the beach. Well stocked and clean and lovely. As others mentioned, it can be a little tricky having just one small bathroom with a small shower. But overall, it was a great place for my family of four.

The is just a lovely little house just a short walking distance from the beach. It’s a perfect house for a girls getaway or a family vacation. It’s a cute, quaint updated house that has everything you need-beach chairs, hot tub, spacious kitchen and an awesome surround sound, feels like your st the movies. The location is great by being close to tons of great restaurants-sam & ommies, lucky 13, & blue moon cafe. Cindi is the best, she’s easy to reach by at quick and responds promptly.

Once again we had the pleasure to stay in this cute little oasis to recover and recoup from our busy work schedules. The kitchen is amazing and fully stocked. I love the nooks and crannies in this house….so many places to relax with a good book. You don’t have to worry about a thing but livelying up yourself!

This is the best-kept house we have ever rented for the size and location. Very nice amenities, well organized and clean, very responsive owners. Our family of five had a fabulous time.

The house is always very clean & stocked & the new decor updates are really nice.....(the new sunroom chairs are quite comfortable!) This was our second time staying at the cottage. We came in June of 2020 and fell in love with the the property and location. It truly is a special place. Cindi and John go above and beyond maintaining, stocking, and decorating the cottage to make you feel right at home. We had fun filled days on the beach and were in the perfect location to take advantage of all that OBX had to offer. I would 100% recommend this property to everyone.

Clean and comfortable? Check. Outstanding location? Check? Delightfully decorated? Check. Fun amenities? Yep. This house gave us the perfect Memorial Day weekend. We loved it so much, and we'll be back. VRBO-- please correct: this house has one bathroom, not two. But we were fine with four people, especially with the outdoor shower. This house and its host were fantastic!

We planned a mini getaway for some rest and relaxation and this place did not disappoint. Close to waves and then recovery in the hot tub with a full kitchen too! Amazing vibe….we loved it so much we already rebooked!

An absolutely wonderful property! Everything was clean and comfy. The fenced in backyard was the perfect size for my son to enjoy playing around in. The house is perfectly located for everything from the beach to the grocery store. Cindi was a great host-very easy to communicate with. I’m honestly torn between telling everyone I know about how much I liked this place and keeping it my little secret

We arrived early and the owner let us in ! The house was super cute decorated and spot clean! She also had a surprise Easter egg hunt for our kids! What a sweetheart! The house was so cozy and the hot tub was clean and warm! Great location! Outside shower was a plus! We highly recommend this house!

I booked this rental for my husband, brother, and 2 brothers-in-law, and while I didn't see the place myself, they couldn't say enough good things about it. I mean, how often do you get texts from then while on their trip saying, "You really hit it out of the park w/this place"..."Great find w/this house! This place is great!" I wish I could have stayed there myself and look forward to doing so in the future. Also, I communicated w/Cindi quite a bit before they checked in, and she is responsive, conscientious, and considerate. All tremendous qualities in a host! Definitely recommend you Lively Up Yourself!

Had a great time. The house was great, kitchen well stocked. We enjoyed the backyard after coming back from the beach. Easy walk and access to beach.

The house was great, very clean when I arrived. Centrally located for ease of access to everywhere I wanted to go and in walking distance to the beach. Cindi was great with communication, had a scare with the dishwasher and she replied to my text as soon as she was able. Would definitely recommend this house to a friend/ family.

Cozy, relaxing beautiful place. Backyard with the hot tub and outdoor shower cant be beat. Kitchen has everything and anything you would need to cook or just heat up a frozen pizza. Close to anything you would need (supermarkets, restaurants beach access 2 blocks away). Cindi was amazing and very accommodating. Will definitely be returning. Thank you Cindi!

Our first trip to the OBX was perfect because of this well cared for home! It was close to the beach, shopping & dining but most importantly the home was sooo comfy. It was clean and stocked with essential items that came in handy. The back yard was very relaxing with the hot tub & hammock and the hosts were so kind to us! I definitely did not want to come home! We will be back :)

The house was immaculate and exactly as described in the listing. We could definitely tell that the owners are very meticulous people and take great care of their property. Check in process was so easy and it was so nice just being able to punch in a code to unlock the door all week instead of having to worry about keeping track of a key! The backyard was great! The indoor shower was a little small but the size and setup of the outdoor shower more than makes up for it! We also enjoyed the convenience of the gas station that is just steps away from the house. No dealing with traffic and crossing the main highway just to go get a bag of ice for your cooler! Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend!
