My friends and I stayed here for a weekend in Lake George. All in all, this is a beautiful property and the stay was everything we were looking for to have a weekend away. Even with the things I will mention below this was a nice stay for us. The entire inside was renovated. Nice beds/bedrooms, second kitchen area downstairs with pool-table, plenty of room in the living room, good bathrooms and an updated kitchen. There was plenty of space on the deck to hang out and sit. It was nice to have the firepit and the pool was refreshing. Wifi information was provided and easy to find on the table. This property is a bit secluded with only a couple neighbors around on a quiet street. Close to big grocery store and several gas stations very close. Few notes about this property (mostly minor and only one serious). This property and the surrounding area have horrible cell phone service. You have to use wifi for calling and texting but the wifi works great in the property. This property was a bit far from places to order food, some friends had to drive into town to meet up with a pizza delivery guy (not the end of the world but something to note if you order out a lot). I’ve seen people comment about the pool being cold, I would say that is accurate, it was very cold. That said we were at the property when it was 90+ all weekend so we all thought it was great! The pool was very clean. I was surprised not to find any salt, pepper, coffee filters, paper towels, or Lysol wipes. Not that big a deal, but just be ready to buy everything you think you might need (side note: the house had extra soap/toiletries). Serious note,the property adjacent (13 Sweet Road) leaves their dogs outside tied to posts and they barked non-stop (and I mean literally without stopping to breath). To defend this property, this was a fraction of the time we spent outside. Regretfully the communication from the owner was not great. I had messaged, called, texted multiple times leading up to the trip and only got two responses the day before when I asked to check in early and for the door code. I’ve seen the property owner mention they oversee a lot of properties so I can understand running around crazy. We received no check out instructions and nothing was posted in the VRBO portal. We didn’t necessarily need anything (the things above weren’t that tough for us to figure out or remedy) however if you are looking for a property owner that is very responsive, we didn’t experience that.THX!

First, I would like to start by saying that there is truth to every single negative review. We read through the negative reviews and ended up choosing this place because we were booking sort of last minute and it was the only place available that fit all of us. The listing has the incorrect info on the amount of people it sleeps, it shows multiple pictures of the same bedrooms. One of the bedrooms on the lower level had a toddler sized bed. Thankfully we were not at the max number of people so it was still fine for us. The cleanliness is subpar at best, there is dirt in every nook and the master shower is moldy. The basement floor was sticky. Another review mentioned ants which the property manager denied, there definitely are large and small ants everywhere. The pots and pans are rusty and gross. the yard is a dirtpit and the deck gave people splinters. The pool was not clean and freezing cold. The property manager has the worst communication I have seen. I never received check-in instructions and they would not respond to my multiple messages over 3 days, I ended up on the phone with VRBO customer service the entire ride to the location and only after VRBO customer service contacted her did the property manager write back accusing me of never messaging her. It made for a very stressful arrival. When we got there some guy showed up and said he was there to replace mini blinds, we were not told about this and did not feel comfortable letting some strange man into a house full of women and he said he could come back on Sunday when we checked out and we said that was fine. I received a $200 charge 2 weeks after my stay to replace 3 mini blinds. We broke nothing and the blinds throughout the house are cheap plastic $10 blinds. There were no blinds on the master bedroom windows which I assume is what the man came to replace. I messaged the property manager about this and did not get a response so I had to call and spend another hour on the phone with VRBO to open a dispute. We left the house better than we found it, we killed hundreds of ants, started the dishwasher, folded the towels that were in the dryer and started a load of wash to help out the housekeeper. We left all of the floats we used in the pool and paper products we brought with us. This place is expensive and not close to being worth the hassle. The property manager does not respond to any messages once you book and files fraudulent claims against your card.

It worked for our group of 15. Enjoyed the stay with members from four families and the kids loved the pool. Still, there was a musty smell in basement and beds not too comfortable. Additionally, there were lots of ants downstairs and the egress windows screen would pop out a bit letting flys in. Bring a fly swatter.

The rental property was great. This property was perfect for our group of 18. Our group consisted of 8 adults and 10 children. There were alot of toys/games available and the pool was a real hit. Also used the swingset and fire pit. It made for a very enjoyable weekend.

First thing that you have to know: no satellite connection! (messages will take hours to reach the destination, no phone call at all). Second, it that the downstairs 3 bedroom not acceptable for living! The acoustics from upper very noisy floor and toilet flushes is unbelievable (can wake up dead!). One of the bedroom is, basically, hallway with very uncomfortable beds. Temperature control for both floors is unmanageable to set for comfortable existing. The internet was gone for half of our stay and only one way to connect to the rest of the world is driving more the 20 min from property to have the coverage for your phone. Propane for grill was gone after single use. Property manager could not respond for days. Toilet and bath drain didn’t work properly: refused to accept everything which should be gone for good (you know what I mean). Everything was very wear out condition (pool table just drop balls on the floor, lamps were crooked and fix by the tape). Terrible, terrible experience!!

House was well-prepared for a large group. However, visit was in October and pool was still open, dirty and an eye sore. Pool should have been cleaned if it was still open or closed for the season. Basement needs to have something done to eliminate the musty odor. Manager never responded to inquiry as to how to close the house nor were there any instructions for garbage, recycling, etc.

I reached out to the property manager on our first night and never got a response. Other than that it was a great stay! Clean and good location.

the house is beautiful and spacious everything was fine, but I could not contact the owner to ask them some questions, but the cleaning of the kitchen needs to improve a little more! the rest everything is fine!!!

We had a fun time. The location was convenient to Lake George Village it was 15 mins away. The house had enough bedrooms/ beds for our entire group. It was clean and equipped for a comfortable stay.

My group of friends and family of 18 (including a baby) enjoyed our stay of three nights in this home. The house was tucked in with much privacy we needed for our big group. We walked in to a clean, modern, and spacious home just as we expected. The swimming pool was the perfect addition for the kids, and we cooked in mostly and found every cooking tools we needed to cook. Enough of hot water to shower mostly, but avoid to use multiple showers at the same time to avoid slow flow. We learned that out after our first evening. The surprise was the pool table on the lower floor, it was not in the picture. Our big group took turned to play, it’s a great addition, especially in a rainy day which happened all day on our second day. The only thing we didn’t found accurate was the number of beds. We have 18 (the max of people allowed) and we only found beds for 15, so three people had to sleep with sleeping bags, and it was not comfortable especially for three nights, which was upsetting. We looked everywhere in the closest, under the bed, etc. and still couldn't find the rest of three beds we needed as we chose this property which mentioned sleeps 18. We were wondering if the room with pool table (which wasn’t mentioned on the description) was replacing those beds and the property owner forgot to update the profile. The accuracy of information, especially the amount of beds, is very important, as people look forward to have a good rest to be able to enjoy their stay. Please update. Other than that one problem, our group enjoyed the place very much and would recommend this place especially if you have smaller group (max of 14-15 people). We also didn’t bother to contact the property owner, two of my emails prior to arrival were never responded, and my voicemail on the day of arrival was also never replied. We do love the place, but there is definitely room for improvement for communication, accurate information, and instructions.

I could go on forever with the list of things but isn't worth my time as I will never be going back there again. Just gonna say to bring your own pots and pans because the ones provided are filthy and rusty. Also pool works but only if you like cold water because there is no water heater so it was a total waste of money since the whole reason I booked the property was so my kids could enjoy swimming. The owner may only be 5 minutes away and reachable but does not get the messages for a day at a time to respond.

We, grandparents my siblings spouses and children stayed here for about 4 nights this August. The house was clean and super spacious more than enough room for everyone, we love to cook and we loved having the 2 fridges and the extra space downstairs to play pool. The outdoors was great for the kids they enjoyed the deck, pool and play set. The house was a short drive to downtown lake George we enjoyed many days walking around there. Glenda the property manger was very nice and when we got there a little early she let us come right in while they were cleaning up the outdoors. We would definitely go back.

We enjoyed our time at the home and it offered us plenty of room for our 13 people. Loved the central air. Lots of outdoor seating. The pictures of the downstairs could be updated as the bed layout is different than the pictures but it still worked out well.

Our multi-generational family of 9 enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious and the kitchen was well equipped for family cooking. The pool was clean and the beds numerous. The manager responded to our pre-trip questions quickly, the check-in was easy and the neighborhood was quiet.

Do not rent this house. The listing was inaccurate. It says six bedrooms and a bonus room. What it has is four bedrooms, a small room downstairs with a trundle bed and a full bed and a mud room with three small beds haphazardly placed in it. No idea which room they meant by “bonus room”. The deck was filthy and I had to wash it with a hose. The paint on the deck has worn off and the exposed and several of us got splinters. The yard has more ant hills than blades of grass and we couldn’t walk anywhere on the property without shoes. Inside, there were hundreds of big, black ants. On the counters, showers, beds, couches and all over the floors. And they bite. The house smells like cigarette smoke that someone tried to cover up with cheap perfume. The kitchen had unsupported shelves and when we pulled a knife from the butcher’s block, it was covered in grime and insect parts. Half of the outlets in the house are broken. The basement lights flicker on and off at random and turned off completely several times. There is almost zero water pressure in one of the upstairs bathrooms, leaving only one functional shower on the main level. The sliding glass door leading to the deck has no curtains or blinds and provides absolutely zero privacy. We had to remove the sheets from a bed and hang them over the glass every night after dark. This became a necessity when we had to call the police twice to deal with the neighbor. After midnight, he began to scream obscenities and threats of violence towards the women that live on the other side of the woods. The women echoed his vulgarities like shrieking animals. He then drunkenly and repeatedly (and angrily) drove his car up the street at great speed, screeching tires and leaving rubber on the road. He came very close to hitting the cars in our driveway several times. The cell phone service is so poor, that we kept getting cut off after a few seconds when we called 911. We called the sheriff’s office instead. The call was able to go thru the wi-fi and we were able to get help. None of these problems were immediately fixable and we didn’t want to deal with exterminators or repair men during our vacation, so we didn’t bother reaching out during our stay. So “but we live right down the road, you could have called” is not an excuse for how poorly the house was maintained. Rent at your own risk. Trust me, you’ll regret it.

Nice house, nice yard, pool was dirty but we went in September and it was chilly so we weren’t going in either way. We didn’t have enough of the minor things in the house but we made do. Overall it’s a great house held 15 of us and 5 cars in the driveway.

We spent a weekend with our kids and grandkids. The house was large and clean. We were 9 adults and 5 kids. We enjoyed the pool, and spending time together. Highly recommend this property! Thank you Glenda.

The location of the house was in close proximity to everything we wanted to do on our vacation. It had a private location, was very roomy, fully equipped with sufficient bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone in our group. Kid friendly yard with swing set to keep the kids entertained, fire pit and swimming pool. Glenda and her husband were very responsive making sure that on our first day they were available to answer any questions that we had.

There are lots space for 15 of us in the house and the owner makes things easy while we were stayed. Good location and very easy to get to places around Lake George. We are planning to go back.

Six bedrooms with three full bathrooms and beds for 16 - house is much larger inside than it appears from outside. Pool was fantastic, everything was fine! No basic cooking supplies like salt, pepper, ketsup, so be sure to bring everything you need. Plenty of towels, pool towels and sheets/blankets, though! Nice driveway/parking, stairs and ramp a challenge for mobility impaired persons.

This place has been everything we dreamed about, me and my buddos had the time of our lives there this past week. Glenda is a SAINT!! By far the nicest landlord I have ever met, put all of our needs first. this place holds a special place in my heart as well as many of my pals. Thank you lake G, gods SPEED.

The location was close to Lake George and the venue we visited. The house was very clean. The heat wasn’t working and they had someone there in ten minutes to fix it. The kitchen had useable utensils etc. Bring condiments There are just some VERY minor squawks and the way the owner cares for the home it won’t be an issue. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

The house was big enough to accommodate 13 perfectly! We had a wonderful time, kids really enjoyed the pool. Distance to Lake George was about 10-15min, once we found our around the highway. There’s a supermarket within close proximity. Overall great experience.

As promoted, the house was very spacious for a large group. The house was clean and pretty well maintained. The pool was clean and there was a nice swing set for the kids. When we arrived we noticed that there were many flies in the house, which was strange because the house did seem very clean. We called the owner to ask if she could do something about the flies and she basically dismissed our request, saying that the house was fine when she walked through earlier. While I understand that the house is in a wooded area, I was surprised that the homeowner chose not to do anything about the flies. We spent the weekend swatting many flies and even killed a mouse the first night. An exterminator would be a good idea to ensure future guests don’t have to deal with pests. Lastly, the water pressure was pretty terrible—Not sure if anything can be done about that.

I came here with a young crowd. We were looking to get away for a few days and relax. That is exactly what we did. Everything important was provided, the house was huge and beautiful! My friends kept telling me how much they enjoyed staying here. I hope to rent this house again next year! AMAZINGGGGG place and Glenda is wonderful in getting back to you and answering questions. I wish i could give it 10 stars!

OVERALL: We (group of 15) had a great time and will definitely consider returning. HOUSE is large enough (6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms) to accommodate extended family. Kitchen entrance has ramp for persons with limited mobility. Beds are comfortable. Lighting is good. Air conditioning and heating work very well. Living room has large screen television and comfortable sofas. Kitchen has good counter space. Lower level has second kitchen. Laundry appliances are efficient and quiet. Parking is paved driveway that fits 6 vehicles. There is lawn and a playset for children. Swimming pool is above ground; water was clean. Porch has tables and umbrellas. On our arrival we found everything clean and tidy. Wifi/ modem provided good internet service. Mobile phone service was spotty, but seemed fine in the town. LOCATION is small town just north of Village of Lake George, and house is about 2 miles out of town. Warrensburg has a variety of restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, hardware. It also has an urgent care facility. Nearby Lake George Village and Queensbury offer activities, shopping and dining. MANAGER was available when we had questions. SUGGESTIONS: My main one is to have a small binder with frequently asked questions, "house rules", emergency phone numbers, list of urgent care & pharmacy, and some brochures and maps. We have found these useful at other rental properties. My minor one is let folks know if returning renters have any priority for reserving dates for next year (some managers discuss this the day before checkout). Often one can make a reservation for "same week" next year with small deposit. SUMMARY: This is a very nice place to relax at any age.
