The owner was onsite and was very apologetic that the place we rented was not ready as it's being constructed. He accommodated us in another property that he has and it was nice. We had a great stay.

I was called the morning of my arrival and told they were putting me in a different house (next door) because they started to remodeling the one i rented. I rented a 5 bedroom 4 bathroom and was put in a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom. There isnt a door that works properly in the house they put me in. It wasnt very clean (we went and bought cleaning supplies) 2 trash bags 1 roll of paper towels 3 rolls of toilet paper is what was there so we had to go get supplies for that too!
The dock is falling apart and sitting on top of the other collapsed dock.
Thw house listed had 2 jacuzzi tubs and a hot tub. The one i got didn't have either!
Avoid this place!!!!!!
Many other issues as well.
I contacted VRBO to see about a 50%refund at least and i am still waiting for a final answer.
When they called and told me they were putting me in a different house it was to late to find an alternate house

Steve is friendly but that’s the only real positive I can share. Old pics that don’t reflect current. The house is in a nice neighborhood but then you get a feel of what’s to come when you pull in the driveway and see broken items and trash along the driveway, around the buildings, in the woods. It’s in the house too. This property is not taken care of and the house is just part of it. Everything is either worn out, broken or not repaired properly. There is no privacy. I knew the loft would be open but the 1 bedroom had a beaded curtain instead of a door, 1 bedroom doesn’t have a door and is open to the staircase, 1 bedroom is open to the community bathroom. It’s listed as 2 full baths 2 half baths. One full bath is in the lower level but the tub is on a platform so you can’t stand up without hitting your head on the ceiling, the shower head was zip tied up for support and the curtain can’t close. It was done this way to make the plumbing work. There is no drain trap so the bathroom always smells like sewage gas. The other full bath had a doorway cut into for the bedroom to make an en-suite however there is no door so when everyone else wants to use that bathroom and shower you can’t close it off from the bedroom. Lots of different flooring that isn’t level or secure so watch your footing. Easy to trip. The railing on the stairs to the loft was PVC and taped to the spindles. Random electrical didn’t work or was on cords. Could go on but out of characters. Pick another place.

Clutter, a lot of broken stuff on deck &, near the water. This property needs a landscaper, electrician, plumber and a dumpster.

Overall places need to update there pictures of the house, property and such. The yard needed to cleaned up, and such. A lot of trash, broken items, and such.

According to the host he had a new cleaning crew that was doing a good job. This place hasn't been cleaned in a very long time! I had read the reviews which several stated that it needed a deep cleaning. I let the host know that I was concerned about the reviews, and so he just lied so that I would book the reservation. Awful!

Overall a nice house just needs a real deep cleaning and some of the stuff removed both inside and out. Lots of spaces look like they were worked on until they were functional then left.
The house is dirty, there is no way around that, dirty and dusty floors and decor, we all wore shoes.
We didn't use the basement except as an emergency bathroom: it was full of the owners stuff, there was a pretty sketchy pellet stove in between two of the beds, the bedroom had a rolled up rug on it and an old dryer in it, the rec room area had stuff on the couch.
The main floor was fun, we enjoyed looking at the decorations. Kitchen was large enough for us to move around in and hang out it. The chairs were very shaky and we were concerned about breaking them. The couches were stained but functional.
The loft upstairs was nice as well.
We found mouse droppings in a dish on the kitchen table and in the basket of toiletries in one of the bathrooms. We only used the shower in the main bathroom which was very dark, but functional.
The grill and awning are in rough shape. The pictures are obviously from a few years back.

We stayed at this camp on echo lake with a group of friends. There was plenty of space/bedrooms and bathrooms and the kitchen is beautiful (although after running the dishwasher we realized it doesn’t work so we had to hand wash all dishes, I suggest bringing your own spice and pans/casserole dishes too). The house itself is pretty cool, very eclectic and not thoroughly deep cleaned really. The owner was very nice and communicated well. The owners house is in very very close proximity to the rental house, and the yard and outdoor curb appeal makes the rental seem more run down than the inside of the home (garbage and older cars in the yard or close by, etc). The owner was also spray panting his vehicle at one point so the smell gave one of my friends a beached. Overall we had a super fun time and the piece is really fair for a big group, location to lake George and being on the water with the large fire pit and canoes was super ideal. Just not sure we would rebook this rental because of the details listed above.

Steve is a very nice host and lives on the property, so check-in was easy. The house is in a beautiful setting on quiet lake with lots of water “toys” (rowboat, kayaks, paddle boats). It’s very dog friendly. The location is a short drive to Lake George and the amusement park in Queensbury. There are nearby stores if you forget any basics. I gave 3 stars because, other than the bedding and towels, the place did not appear to be cleaned well after the last guests.

Great Location
Stephen is a nice host and the location of the property is great. It was about 15 minutes from Lake George and on a nice, quiet lake that was just lovely. There were lots of different watercraft available for use. It’s a nice house with lots of room, and different spaces, but it does need to be cleaned a bit better.

ADK kayaking trip
Steve was a great host. He was very helpful and full of information. The house wasn’t exactly what we were expecting but it held a group of 9 of us very comfortably. Plenty of space and bathrooms. Had a lot of character. The lake was small but it was nice to just get in for a quick paddle and would be great for kids to swim in. Checking in and out was super easy.

Great location, amenities and price.
We had a great stay at Echo lake. Stephen met us and showed us the property and was really nice about cutting up some logs for us so we could have firewood and lending us an axe to split it. There is plenty of space and beds so everyone had their privacy. The kitchen was large and allowed us to all comfortably eat together. The lake is right on the property and there are tons of water craft to use. There’s also a nice beach to use for a little swimming. The recommendation Id make to the host is to clean a little more thoroughly. I personally felt fine, but many members of my party felt the house was a little unclean. An easy problem to fix.

Lake House 2021
Great time at the most amazingly peculiar lake house. Complimentary chainsaw. Has all the toys (boats, fishing poles, wood for the firepit, etc). Will make this an annual trip with family and kids.

Lake side retreat
Good location on Echo Lake. The home was well marked and big enough for a family. Access to the lake was excellent. Loads of watercraft and life jackets. The house had all the creature comforts of home. Close to Lake George. We had a good time in the area, on the lake and with the supplied games.

Great spot for a relaxing getaway!
The cabin is clean and cozy with jetted tubs in almost every bathroom! Plenty of water toys to make this almost private lake enjoyable and relaxing! We are already looking to see when we can book again!

Cozy winter weekend
Warrensburg is the perfect location to enjoy all the area attractions. The house was toasty warm and relaxing after playing outside all day. The lake must be lovely in the summertime!

Beautiful setting on Echo Lake. .
Very peaceful vacation. Steve the owner was very accommodating and allowed us to bring our three dogs. Steve has numerous non motorized water-crafts available for use. The house is large and could accommodate a large family. The house was cleaned and ready for our stay.

Kayak
We loved our stay. Steve was very sweet, made us feel at home. First time the kids and myself kayaked. Was amazing. It is rustic, but the way it is put together is wild. In a good way. Thanks again steve, wish it could have been for longer..

Great place
My family ( wife, son 13, daughter 14 and two small dogs) loved staying here. The owner was great and made sure we had everything we needed including a supply of firewood for the awesome lakeside fire pit. We all enjoyed the peace and quiet as well as canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and swimming. The only things we needed to bring were ourselves and a fishing rod. Very close to lake George for all it has to offer. We all loved it!!!

Great Lake House
We had a wonderful stay at this relaxing getaway! The kids (ages 11-16) all had a blast sliding into the lake from the dock, swimming, taking out the paddle boats, canoe and kayak and making s’mores by the fire. Stephen (owner) was very accommodating and the property had everything we needed to enjoy our time together as a family. We are definitely booking for next year!

House on Echo Lake
In looking for a place to stay that was not in an overcrowded location, still had enough to do/enjoy at the property, accepted pets, and was very affordable, I came across this listing. Since it ticked all of the boxes, we booked for the week of July 12th. There were seven of us (4 adults, 3 kids). Though a little dated, the house was clean upon arrival and suited us well. Steve, the owner, lives next door and was extremely friendly, accommodating, and available all week. Most of our time was spent outside on the deck, down at the lake, or in the spacious kitchen. We especially enjoyed the fire pit right on the lake. Speaking of the lake, it was crystal clear and a near perfect temperature. The whole experience felt more like a cabin camping trip than a luxury lake house stay, and that's not a bad thing. That is actually what we were looking for, so don't come in to this expecting a 4-star hotel experience and get upset when it isn't. What you can expect is an eclectic place to enjoy a beautiful lake on multiple canoes, kayaks, and pedal boats that features a big kitchen with lots of seating for family meals and board games, in a quiet corner lot of a small town near Lake George (I imagine in a less pandemic time, the proximity to Lake George Village would be great for shopping, dining out, etc.) that's run by a guy who genuinely enjoys seeing his tenants relaxing and having fun.

Relaxing friendly place
As a close family group, we enjoyed the house with all its eccentricities. Wonderful shower in the main bathroom, comfortable beds and the small lake was crystal clear. All the boats and floats were fun, too.

Lake is Beautiful, House isn’t clean.
The lake is gorgeous. Our two families had a great time fishing and swimming.
Unfortunately the house was not clean upon arrival and we returned home for cleaning supplies and clean bedding and spent the first evening cleaning. We swept more than a dust pan full of dog hair and dirt from a previous guest and used an entire container of swiffer wet pads and they were still coming up dirty. The beds had visible dirt on the sheets. There are many boats on the property but most are out of use as they are broken or missing plugs. We were able to use a row board two kayaks, and a pedal boat that were in good enough shape. After cleaning the house we enjoyed our stay immensely but it was disappointing to spend our vacation fund on a house we ultimately cleaned ourselves.

Amazing!
This place is gorgeous, big house with a lot of beds and rooms, nice kitchen with a lake view, very private, few steps from the house is a lake, small but with a lot of kayaks, paddle boat and canoes to enjoy. A beautiful fire pit. The owner was super nice. We will definitely come back. Loved our stay here. Karina and family.

Fabulous Family vacation!
This was a perfect spot for 8 people and 3 dogs! Private lake and dock, plenty of water toys to use and only a 10 minute drive to Lake George. Steve was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Cant beat 4 bathrooms with that big of a group.
Quirky fun interior and had everything we needed.
We will be back!

Nice
Not to close to all the "action" in Lake George, but close enough if that's what you want. Lake access is great - canoes, paddle boats, floating dock. Spiral staircases....a little tight! Eccentrically furnished!

We loved that it was animal friendly
My family enjoyed there stay and we would come back. Very nice owner. All the broken canoes and paddle boats could be removed and replaced.
