Family-Friendly Cottage on Lake Simcoe with Private Shared Beach Access
Un beau et charmant chalet, ouvert toute l’année, situé à la pointe sud du lac Simcoe (baie de Cook) sur Balfour Beach Road. Évadez-vous de la vie citadine et détendez-vous dans notre chalet confortable et convivial pour les familles (et les animaux de compagnie).
Balfour Beach est une communauté privée située à seulement 45 minutes au nord de Toronto avec de nombreux équipements communs, notamment une plage privée, un terrain de jeu, un terrain de beach-volley et des quais en été.
Il existe d'innombrables possibilités pour profiter du plein air et du lac. Faites de la randonnée, de la pêche et de la natation. Nous sommes également à proximité de terrains de golf et de mini-terrains, du parc provincial Sibbald's Point, d'un cinéma rétro, de bars et de restaurants.
En hiver, profitez d'un lieu de pêche sur la glace populaire avec un accès facile au lac. Cook's Bay, une région peu profonde du lac, est réputée pour la pêche à la perche.

They thought of everything, things I didn’t even think we would need were there for our use. The place is so very comfortable and spacious. We felt like we were at home here. Highly recommend for families or small groups looking to stay together but still have their own rooms.

We came to lake Simcoe to ice fish and this cottage was just perfect for that. The host was wonderful, the place was very clean and the neighborhood was very peaceful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this cottage.

I went with some friends and my 3 year old. There was a park by the beach and right outside. The place had very vintage vibes. Over all our stay was lovely.

Amazing little place away from the hustle and bustle of life it self. Its exactly what a cottage should be. So much space for everyone to stay. Just with my stay, the people who were coming with me couldnt make it and i had the whole place to myself!

The property, location to the lake, and the cottage to stay in was wonderful. Everything you need and the property owners are very nice people. We had our 3rd thanksgiving here. It is a wonderful, clean and spacious cottage. It has everything you need for a great holiday. Host is amazing. We will be back again

I loved this place. Overall cleanliness was good. Bathrooms and kitchen are old but clean. The cottage contained everything necessary for cooking. We did try the BBQ however it seemed to be out of propane (maybe we were supposed to bring some). The space was enormous for looking deceptively small. 2 bathrooms is definitely a plus. Large kitchen table that fit all 6 of us. The yard was great for the kids after a long ride. They definitely needed to run. Parking for two cars.
I only had two issues: 1. The GPS took a very weird route to get here when you can go directly off the highway(road) to the cottage. 2. The place was a bit dusty. (Specifically the front room where an old cassette boombox was located). This is only a problem as I have a dust allergy and got wheezy/sneezy because of it. I also might have made it worse as I opened up the boombox (eject button) as the kids did not know what it was.
Overall would definitely stay again if I was going to be in the area.

There was plenty for kids to enjoy including board, card games, Netflix, and Prime video while adults were enjoying the party. A full-fledged kitchen was added benefit for us. The host is so friendly and communication was prompt.

It was reasonably clean ( if you don't look too close at the corners or happen to loose an item under furniture and discover garbage from many months).
The communication with the property owners was non existent. We had to ask them about garbage disposal, but non of the phones provided picked up or returned our call. At the end we took the garage with us.
We asked for invoice. Have not heard anything so far!
Overall we had a nice ice fishishing trip with our extended family.

We needed a home base while organizing a race - and this property worked out well. We were able to come and go at all hours of the morning (sorry neighbours with the barking dog). Didn't get to enjoy the vacation part - but it suited our needs perfectly. Lots of room for our stuff and working space, too.

The cottage and yard is spacious. Private beach is VERY close and the public one great 5 min walk. The only downside for me was no fire pit, we we're not alloyed to have a camp fire, real bummer as I feel that cottage go with a fire however on the last day we notice that we we're able to have a fired on the private beach "" FYI People will question where you are from " , just let them know the Kurtz. All together great stay and I would rent again if a fire camp would be alloyed

We loved this house! Very 60s/70s, quaint, very simple and not fixed up, but large, airy and full of light. Extremely comfortable beds, good functioning air-conditioning, quiet and very comfortable in every way. We hope to be able to rent again very soon. I will definitely send friends and family to this property.
