We wanted a family get together that allowed flexibility and comfort, this home did not disappoint! The ocean view, grassy areas and very cool beach allowed all the family to enjoy a variety of spots to relax and have fun. We were all extremely happy with the location and amenities. The house was well stocked with the required things and we successfully cooked many meals together very easily. It can be windy but that was also pleasant to cool down warmer days, the hot tub was loved by all! The airplane noise was insignificant and hardly noticed after the first day, it’s truly a ‘nothing to worry about’ thing! We would certainly book again and tell anyone and everyone that it’s a perfect A+ vacation spot. It’s truly a magical location!❣️

My wife and 4 children, (2 adult and 2 kids) and my father all stayed with plenty of room for everyone. House is large with every thing you could ever need! Wonderful views, and close drive to places to eat and things to do. Would highly recommend this home for a larger family or multiple families vacationing together. Can’t say a single bad thing, great communication as well! The private beach was amazing too!

This centrally located North Shore private residence is a beautiful rental in the most convenient location on the island of Maui. You are in shorter driving distance to Kihei, Kaanapali, & Hana from this home than if you stayed in one of those locations & tried to travel from one side of the island to the other. The North Shore area is where we will strive to stay in future trips. Upon arriving at the house we were thrilled it was less than 10 min from the airport. This made car rental drop off so convenient (not having to wake up super early & drive 3-4 hours to the airport for an 8am flight). The yard is AMAZING, super soft Bermuda grass, palm trees, fragrant flowering bushes, & a small private beach area perfect for kids. The house has a good layout & air conditioning in every room w/the exception of the kitchen & family/dining areas. We love Hawaii outdoor/indoor living, but not having an A/C option in those rooms & relying on the ocean breeze & fans in summer was a bit much on some of the hotter days. This is the only reason there are 4 stars & not 5 in this review. The kitchen is a chefs dream, 2 fridges was also wonderful as we were a group of 7. Sunrise/sunset you can watch sea turtles swim by, wind surfers pass along, & outrigger canoes row past while in the hot tub! The close town of Paia has the best restaurants & shops. Donna was amazing & just a text/call away if we had questions! Airplanes over head were never a bother or issue. Would love to stay here again.

The property was perfect for a family vacation! So many fun memories were made here. The kids loved the beach and the house easily accommodated 8 of us. The hot tub was a relaxing way to end the day and watch the sunset. Thank u!!

We had a great time at this beautiful property, using it as a homebase to visit family and explore the island. The check-in and checkout process was very simple. The home was cleaned, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. The views, sounds of the ocean, and ocean access are amazing. Highly recommend.

We stayed at this property in 2016 and it was nice, but a little dated. We decided to make another trip to the island and came across this same property and noticed they had done some updates. We couldn't resist because we loved the area so much we decided to rent it again. All I can say is WOW! The house was so nice and CLEAN! Donna was always just a phone call/text away. Anytime we had a question she was always available and very helpful. Thank you so much for making our stay amazing!!!

Nothing but rave reviews for this property. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. We usually stay at the Honua Kai but decided to give this house a try this trip which included 2 families/8 guests. Beds were all very comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked. The yard was the best feature with plenty of room for the kids to play games. We spent a lot of time on the private beach and hot tub at nights. Food trucks are walking distance down the road. 2nd fridge was great for drinks. There is bike path right by the property to do 3-5 mile runs. To the right of the private beach is a great place for snorkeling and where sea turtles lay out in the early am. We brought a kayak and were able to launch from the private beach. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Convenient location located close to airport, Safeway, Costco and cute town of Paia. We found the planes flying overhead interesting - not bothersome. Grounds of home beautiful, with waves crashing on rock wall, while little cove beach provided safe entrance into the water. Everything about the property and home were to our satisfaction and we didn’t really need to ever leave - having our own beach, hot tub, hammock, outdoor covered eating area, etc. We loved it.

This is our second summer staying here. These arrangements are perfect for family vacations. Amazing!

We stayed for 9 nights in mid June with 6 adults and 2 children and had a wonderful stay! The property was stunning and with the large yard, lanai, hot tub and private beach, you didn’t have to leave. The property was private yet accessible. The house was very well equipped and worked well for our whole family. The bedrooms have A/C and enough fans and windows to keep the rest of the house cool, but most of our time was spent outside anyway. The winds and waves were calmer before 11am that allowed us to kayak, swim and snorkel and picked up later in the day with views of entertaining wind sports. Private beach was accessible by rock steps that required some assistance for our younger and older family members but was perfect size for us all to enjoy. It was so fun to watch the sea turtles throughout our stay. As others noted, the airplane noise is noticeable but not bothersome as it only lasts a few seconds each time. The host was responsive and able to recommend some great local restaurants and activities. Would definitely recommend this property for a family looking to relax and enjoy the views!

For our seven-week Maui adventure, we selected this home, largely based upon the numerous positive vrbo reviews. Our experience matches and adds to those reviews. This property - exceptional and unique in so many ways. Donna sets a very high bar as manager and guide to what the island has to savor. We feel very fortunate to have been able to call this our "Maui home".

If you want to stay in a private ocean front property that has everything you need then look no further. The pictures online do not do the property justice. You are literally right on the ocean with flat two acres of private property. Baldwin beach and Paia are less than five minutes away. Jam over to Kihei in 15-20 minutes no problem. Plus all the best grocery stores are within minutes too (Safeway, Walmart, Target, Costco). We loved watching the planes take off, it reminded us to enjoy every minute because we knew that would be us all to soon. I am not a 'wind sports' person but if you are into Kite Surfing, Wind Surfing or any water sport that requires wind then you MUST stay here because you can launch straight from your private beach! This was also the first short-term rental that had every amenity we needed and more.

Donna was a great host and responded to calls and text messages promptly. The property is large and private. The updated kitchen and bathrooms are nice. The waves hitting the sea wall provided an awesome show from the large patio. Would definately stay here again.

Our July 2021 stay in Spreckelsville was nothing short of incredible. The oceanfront location with a private beach was something one sees in travel magazines. The home was everything we needed. A modern kitchen stocked with quality cookware and appliances made it easy to prepare wonderful meals for our family (Costco was only a few minutes away). Located near from the Maui airport, it was easy to get to Paia, surfing in Lahaina, the Road to Hana, etc... The photos on VRBO accurately represents the home and proximity to the ocean. The owners were excellent communicators and welcoming. We hope to rent this property again for future visits to paradise.

Location is amazing and Donna is very quick to respond and help with anything that is needed. The yard is great for all types of activities with lots of room to play. The views are incredible and the private beach is a great feature of this property!

Overall, this house has a great location for wind sports, large outdoor space and great one-level living space. The recent remodel of this older house is fantastic with a new kitchen that is much more open and better for our group to cook and enjoy time together. We loved the new bathroom upgrades and I understand the master will be remodeled next. The large outdoor grass area is great for enjoying outdoor activities and staging kite/wing/wind-surfing gear. The hot tub and shower outside is in a great location by the little beach allowing us to enjoy evenings overlooking the water and rinse off quickly when coming off the ocean. The property manager, Donna, is very responsive and helpful with any and every need or concern. My friends and I enjoyed a fantastic week of water sports and Paia lifestyle on this amazing property - our favorite place to stay on the island.

Donna and Sam were fantastic hosts and it was a pleasure meeting them. The house was beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped. We definitely recommend this place.

This good-sized home was clean and functional for our stay. The layout was funky, with a relatively small and outdated kitchen, 3 bathrooms all requiring going through bedrooms to reach, and the clothes dryer in an outdoor attached shed while the washing machine was in the mud room of the main house. The beds were likewise functional, but not particularly lux. The kitchen has some basics but missing others (such as a single 2/3cup measuring cup). Located in a truly beautiful setting, it was a shame to see the outdoor furniture rusted and the hot tub damaged and not functional (we were provided a credit and told they would be replacing it soon). We also struggled to fully enjoy the outdoor space for two reasons: 1) the weather at the time of year we visited (late Feb/early March) was very windy, particularly on the north side of the island, so swimming on that little private beach wasn't a real possibility for our kids and 2) the airplane noise from the adjacent airport was overwhelming at times. The planes don't fly overhead constantly, but they are somewhat clustered, so an attempt at a romantic night out on the lawn listening to the ocean didn't turn out as hoped. Overall, the house fit our family of 6 well and could have easily accommodated a couple more, the furniture and rooms were all functional if not exceptional, and the location was beautiful to look at, but didn't deliver the experience we'd hoped for. Not a ton to complain about except for the value - for this price point, I did expect a higher level of furnishings, updated bathrooms, and a better overall experience. I don't particularly recommend anyone stay away, just know what you're getting and set your expectations accordingly. Finally, I will say that the management team was super responsive, but not proactive. They were kind, responded to my queries via text within minutes, gave answers, and offered up a generous credit for the broken hot tub. However, I had to send messages to receive the address, obtain directions to access the property, get WiFi information, and eventually ask for information about where the house manual was, etc.

A great location on the north shore, minutes from Paia and Kahului. Large ( at least 2 acre ) property with a sandy beach. A great spot for kids to learn how to snorkel as there is a large reef a few minutes walk east that acts as a barrier to the open ocean. The airport was a non issue as far as we were concerned. Yes there was some noise from the planes ( no more than any where else ) but it was actually an added bonus. The end of the runway was roughly a kilometre east and the view from the beach watching the planes take off was awe inspiring. Green sea turtles came ashore a short walk east down the beach every night we were there. A truly picturesque and secluded gem.

We absolutely loved this house. Like other reviewers, I’m reluctant to share our experience because I don’t want it to be booked next time! Check in was a breeze, the property and grounds are amazing, and the view is stunning. And a private beach? Wow! While the house is a little dated, it’s kept very clean and well maintained. Yes there are planes, but they tend to be grouped together with large intervals in between. We didn’t really even notice them after a day and they were kind of cool to watch when we wanted. Can’t wait to come back!

our extended family of 8 stayed for a week and had a great time. we liked that the house is simple rather than fancy, but is large, comfortable and quite well-equipped. it was windy, and the water was too rough for us though we enjoyed watching the adventurous windsurfers and kitesurfers out on the water; and we planned ahead and brought along several kites for the kids to fly. we found it a good, central location to drive to kihei, makena and kaanapali to swim, to kula for ponies, and to paia to dine. donna, the manager is super friendly, responsive and helpful. the noise from planes won't be to everyone's taste. but we quite enjoyed watching the planes from the airport take off close enough to read the logos. we hope to return!

I lived in Paia, north shore/upcountry area of Maui 30 years ago and was a bit nervous about coming back. I knew that the Lahina and Kihei condo/resort scene was not a good fit for us and was delighted to find this AMAZING home still available just a few weeks before we arrived. The home is in central Maui and is super easy to base day trips from - little traffic in this area with the exception of Paia. The airport is nearby, so be prepared for some aircraft noise. It really didn't bother us and in fact the waves crashing on the break wall pretty much muted the noise from the jets. The entire property is very well maintained with grounds that are open and beautiful with no neighbors behind or in front of you (acreage). The house is spacious, spotless, well equipped, and true Hawaii. It is hard to leave the Lanai in the mornings and is wonderful to dine on in the evenings, we never ate a meal inside. There were chairs for the beach, a cooler, beach towels, condiments, spices, and the list goes on. Nice to have a washer and dryer and cleaning supplies if needed. We hope to return some day with friends, it is a big house for just two (4 bedrooms). Mahalo for sharing this special place with us, many memories were made at this beautiful home.
