The home is everything it was advertised to be. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, beautiful view. We had a little trouble with the boat's battery but otherwise it was a perfect place to stay. Would definitely stay here again!

The house is huge! We had plenty of room for our group of 13! The rooms are all nice and spacious as well as bathrooms! We had had a few minor issues, but the owner was very responsive and addressed them right away. Check in and check out was very easy. We used the boat lift and dock which was nice to have. Overall a great stay!!

Place is big and had plenty of space for all of us ( Group of 20 - Adults + Kids under 8) Place had Christmas decorations on when we checked in and it was magical and lovely.
Plenty of rooms and beds for every one. Ample parking space upfront. Place had everything in for our stay. Movie room is awesome and everyone loved it. We had an amazing stay with our group for the new year. We would definitely come back for the

This property was wonderful for our large family to celebrate the holidays together. Lots of bedrooms, large kitchen, theatre room and game area in basement provided plenty of space for everyone. The host even had the home decorated for Christmas which was a lovely surprise! We would love to stay again. We also paid extra for the hot tub, it worked great and had a beautiful view of the lake.

Battle Lake is so beautiful and clean and this house was top notch. We all had a blast! We had so much room, the kids loved the theater and game room and of course the lake!

Overall, the house was beautiful and just as described on the listing and fit our huge family of 20.
There was more than enough room for us to hang out and relax. The kids love the ping pong table and pool table and adults loved the movie theater room. They had tons of stuff to play outside like the bags and kayaks. They had lots of towels for the bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, baking trays, anything you needed they had it! Only item missing was paper towels/napkins which was fine.
The only issue was the cleanliness and a little bit of maintenance items. Like the other reviews said, some of the railings were unsteady and wobbly so we were scared for the kids to use it and lean on it. The railing upstairs and the railing going down to the lake.The bbq grill needed a good cleaning. All of the bathrooms needed a good deep clean. We did pay extra for the hot tub but when we got there it was green water and had brown bubbles coming out of it when we turned it on, so that was disappointing since the lake water was too cold to swim in. The owner did refund us as we were not comfortable using it as it seemed unsanitary.
The owner is very responsive and had good communication when we had any questions and issues with the place.
The house is a little outdated, if they worked on the cleanliness a little more and fix a few items to keep up the house, this would be 5 out of 5 stars! Even with the issues, if we would come again!

Family vacation for 20 (3 - 69 yr old)
Our stay was awesome ! The home & property was perfect for our family- with 7000 square feet we had plenty of room- great bedrooms, huge recreation room and theatre! We spent a lot of time outdoors on the huge deck, lawn and on the lake . Battle Lake is beautiful - great for swimming, fishing and boating! Brian was great to work- we would highly recommend his home!!

Getaway
The land owner was very easy going and easy to work with. However i feel like we stopped the repair guys and cleaning service in the middle of there work preparing for the summer. The trash can in the kitchen wes full yet and some dishes were put away still dirty from cooking. It could have been cleaner and more organized. We were able to get the tvs working and sound system working with the help of a few family members and some batteries. Besides the hot tub not working it all was great. We made ourselves at home and had a great time. The place is very nice and roomy and would be beautiful when its ready and during summer months. I would recommend it but just be ready to make your self at home.

Huge, comfortable stay.
I stayed here with my chamber ensemble and we had a fun and very comfortable stay. The place is awesome for large groups. Brian is a very chill host- super easy to work with and I'd absolutely stay here again. Thank you, Brian!

Excellent Place for a Large Family
Way better than the pictures. Easy communication with the owner with any issues. Lots of room and things to do considering it was -31 outside at times! One of our vehicles did not start but the owner was very accommodating to us having to leave late. My adult children loved the hot tub! Thank you!

Escaping the City
The pictures doesn’t do this place justice. A perfect place to escape for the weekend. We had everything we needed. There was enough room for everyone.

Great Party
This spot was perfect for my brother’s bachelor party. We had 23 guy in our mid 30s stay here the weekend after Labor Day. The “cabin” is huge. The large front yard made for a great spot to play Kan Jam, drink-a-beer, or bags. Brian was very friendly and easy to get ahold of to answer questions when I had them. The hot tub wasn’t working, so that was a bummer and the gas grills need a little TLC. The cabin is a little rough around the edges but for our crowd and kind of party, it was exactly what we needed. Lots of beds and bathrooms. The large patio is cool and the pontoon worked well. The basement would be great to use if the weather is crap. There’s enough utensils in the kitchen to prepare meals and the dish washer seemed to work fine when we were done and cleaning up. Bring towels if you have a large group because I couldn’t find many. And as others have said, there are not blinds on most of the windows. I definitely recommend this place if you are throwing a large party!

Amazing Stay
My family and I stayed here and we had a great experience. We were all able to be under the same roof with still having room for the kids to run around and play. The family enjoyed the lake even with it being a cooler weekend. The children were so excited about the movie theater room. So spacious but still all together for a long weekend which is just what our family needed. There were so many kitchen items we wouldn’t have needed to bring much at all besides our food and clothes. Played bean bags, pool, ping pong and grilled. Also, with the cooler weather there were many games and activities to do, such as coloring stuff for the kids and board games for the adults!! Nice area for a bonfire as well which was also enjoyed. Love that their were 4 bathrooms as well!! Only good things to say about this property. Thanks again Brian for the amazing stay!!!!

Excellent family vacation property!
The pictures do not do this property justice. This is a beautiful area and the home has great amenities, plenty of room, and a fantastic view. Our family enjoyed the lake, bon fires, yard games, hikes at the nearby state park, bon fires, jet ski’s, movies in the theater, foosball, ping pong and more.

Great location but house needs a lot of work.
The bedroom setup in this rental was perfect for our extended family vacation. Large deck over looking lake was perfect for our meals. But that is about all the good I can say about this rental. Bathrooms were lacking towel racks, bars of soap in shower and hot water in the showers most of the time. There were no curtains on most of the bedroom windows. One whole wall of outlets did not work in the kitchen. Oven looks like it has never been cleaned. The oven mitts and pot holders were filthy. No paper towels were provided. The deck railing was very wobbly and was a constant worry to us with young children. Also the steep steps going down to the dock have loose boards and are really a safety hazard. We had to jerry rig the canopy onto the pontoon boat with wires and ropes so we could have some shade when on the water. Too bad the owner is not putting the money he is making back into this house.

Relaxing stay!
I feel fortunate to have found such a large place for our entire family!! It's modern, spacious and on a beautiful lake. All adult couples had their own room, 1 left for some of the girls, kids found other spaces as it is so large. However no curtains on bedroom windows, harder to sleep later with sun coming in, but great views! The media room and dock fishing kept the boys busy, also pontoon rental allowed for lake excursions. We did all meals in the large kitchen but will suggest bringing hot pads and foil to line pans, neither in great condition. The outlets on the breakfast bar didn't work, which would have given us more space for small appliances. We did use one of the grills but both were very dirty. Got heat on half of it, so took a long time to feed 18! My husband cleaned it next day, so now it works great. But overall, it was a great family space, nice setting, close to a couple towns for groceries and a public beach!

beautiful lake
The house and property had everything we needed, there was 16 of us with plenty of room. The house needs alot of maintenance done to it though,the balcony railing upstairs in the house is very unsafe, very loose, we had to bungee cord it to keep the kids safe, the deck railings outside very wobbly as well, we also had to tape up the ceramic floor in the basement which had a chunk broken out of it and would have definitely hurt someone. So we just kept reminding the kids to stay away from the railings.The hot tub was broken as well, so no hot tub was disappointing to all, especially when I was specifically looking for a place with a hot tub when i booked it, . we have a family member that is terminally ill, so it was a much needed family getaway, so we chose to ignore the faults and we had a blast. The house is gorgeous it just needs a little better cleaning and some maintenance done to it. The lake is just so beautiful as well.

The accommodations were perfect for our group of 17! The weather wasn't the best, but we had plenty to do indoors. The theatre room was our favorite! 1st Family Cabin Trip
The cabin was beautiful and better than the photos. It came with everything you'll need for a family weekend. Its off the lake and we were able to walk out 100 yard into the lake and swim. The only hiccup was we rented the pontoon for the whole day and it was supposed to be filled up with gas for our convince. When we got out on the lake we realized it was empty! We had to go to the gas station, fill up the gas tanks and bring it back to fill up the pontoon. Luckily we had a boat guy in our family who knew what he was doing. This still cost us 1/2 a day and we had some pretty disappointed children. Out trip would have been 5 stars but because of the inconvenience, we are only rating Henning 4 stars.

Great time!
Our group of 18 ranged in age from 4-70 and we all had a lot of fun. Great clean lake for fishing (lots of catches off dock), swimming (small beach area and water is shallow a long way out), boating, jet skiing (we rented one from Brian) and kayaking (2 available). Brian brought over another kayak paddle for us right away as one was missing. Kids also enjoyed the game room and movie theatre room at night. Multiple golf courses nearby. Lots of room in the home for sleeping (many pillows and blankets too) and plenty of eating space between the indoor and outdoor deck area. No curtains on any of the windows, except for one so expect an early start to your day! Brian was very easy to get along with. A great place to stay for lots of lake activity!

First time together since February
All 18 of us were finally together! It was the perfect place to stay with 10 children under the age of 12. Plenty to do. Loved the theater room for "quiet time". Fishing off the dock was an adventure for our young fishermen! Hope we can go back!!

Great stay for a large group
We had 16 women stay together for a retreat weekend and we had a fabulous time at a beautiful property. Everything we could have asked for! Brian was super easy to work with and very helpful. Highly recommend this property. I'm sure we'll be back!
