A good friend recommended Las Terranas as I was visiting him in Santo Domingo. He knew I wanted something that wasn't just full of typical tourist. This was the place!!!!! The property listing doesn't really in my opinion do the condo justice. It is so difficult to understand from the pictures you are just feet stepping off the property grounds, crossing a brick paver road onto the beach. This condo is a small building, but very extremely nice. The unit is very updated and clean. We were able to cook breakfast as we want as we had all the things necessary in the kitchen. The local beaches are just so beautiful and relaxing. You must visit Coson Beach as well as it was recommended by the property ower. The property manager accommodated us with a slightly earlier check in. It was very easy obtaining the code, and the unit was ready to provide us with very nice accomodations. This is an area I will definitely be visiting again. It was about 2- 21/2 hour drive from Santo Domingo which was a beautiful drive. It was my first vactions where I stayed at 2 different Vrbo locations, and I was pleased. The ower of the property is very nice and always responsive to any questions.

We stayed here with our daughter and her two children. The condo was extremely comfortable, AC and fans in all the right places for my husband, great pool for the kids, well appointed kitchen for me and proximity to Playa Bonita and town for all of us. Well decorated, clean and everything works very well. Would definitely recommend!

This property is great! Just like the description, apart from it being on a busy street, offered so many other amenities that it was rather easy to overlook. The apartment itself was perfect for our party of four, with a wonderful balcony - with dining table and lounge chairs - which made for a relaxing time. And the pool and hot tub were right below - beautifully and spotlessly maintained I might add! The securely gated parking area was a nice feature. The beach was literally across the street, less than 100 feet from the pool! The many beachfront restaurants were within easy walking distance, so we didn’t need to move our car except to sightsee. The apartment showed that the owner takes great pride in cleanliness and ensuring their guests have access to everything. We could have made any gourmet meal with the fully-equipped kitchen. Even the “junk drawer” was organized and contained anything and everything guests might need. The owner has literally thought of everything! Olimpia (manager) and Jonathan (maintenance) were in contact, throughout our stay, making sure everything was perfect for us! We would stay at this property again, without hesitation and have already recommended it to family members living in DR and in the States.

We spent most of our time at Playa Bonita and only came back to the condo to rest for the night. I recommend this condo and Las Terranas in general. I recommend renting a car so you can drive to other areas (not too far) to see the beautiful rainforest and waterfalls. A quick 30 minute drive to el Limon to see the waterfall is well worth the time. You have to hike into the rainforest to get to the waterfall so you will need appropriate footwear. Restaurant 18 will knock your socks off! Great food and amazing dessert. I also suggest going to the supermarket on your first day in town to stock up on food, drinks, and snacks. The have delicious flavored water that we cannot get in the U.S.; I lived off those while I was there. Overall great place, I felt safe, even went we drove into town and into the mountains. The locals are very nice and have a beautiful, rich culture to share.

Owner should checked everything before renting and make sure that everything is as advertized and he did not while living there. As JUST one exemple: the two TV should have had cable and one remote control for each tv.....It is very unpleasant always have to ask the care takers to fix something or to add something that should have been there in the first place.... the house was nice and clean.

Immaculate apartment. Beautiful view from balcony of pool & beach. Great location for walking into town & along beach. Very well equipped. We used the motorcycle taxis that run up & down the road in front of the apartment to get to the big supermarkets which are a bit far to walk to. They can take 2 people & all your groceries in one motorcycle! Olimpia & the management company we’re fantastic. Answered all our text messages using What’s App very quickly and arranged a taxi to & from Santo Domingo airport for us which gave us peace of mind as we arrived & departed very late at night. Olimpia also helped us figure out how to use the hot water heater, get fresh drinking water for the Polar water tower replaced etc. and was a great resource for us. We did 2 day trips with Peninsula Tours to El Limon waterfall , and whale watching / Cayo Levantado in Samana Bay. Both trips were excellent and would highly recommend them. We ate at many different restaurants. The best ones were not in the Fisherman’s village but up towards Punta Poppy which is walkable or take the motorcycle taxi. Our favorite was Le Tre Caravelle. We loved our stay in Las Terrenas with its beautiful beaches and super friendly people. Highly recommend this apartment.

Lovely setting, confortable 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment, well equipped. A minor problem with showers was resolved promptly by local manager. We plan to rent this place if and when we return to Las Terrenas.

This unit is in a great location. It is a short walk to the multiple restaurants in Las Terrenas. The ocean view from the large balcony is fantastic. The unit is outfitted to a high standard. Olimpia was very helpful with the check in process. She contacted us during our stay to inquire if we needed any assistance. I highly recommend this property.

The property is in a GREAT location! Walking distance to eating drinking and of course the beach is right across the small street. Victor and Olympia were in contact with me throughout the entire process. Parking was ample with on site security. Condo has everything! Even beach towels and throws. The family and I have decided to return next year already. Michael the owner was a great host. Totally recommend!!.

Everything was great! The assistance of Alma and Victor during check in and various questions helped tremendously! The location was perfect, steps to beach and the morning and nightly walks along beach were wonderful. Met an amazing new friend that lives on site now! Definitely relaxing and tranquil. We just returned from a week in Las Terrenas. The condo has everything you could possibly need, including snokeling gear, bags to haul towels and whatnot to the beach and the kitchen is well-supplied. Victor, the property manager was prompt to answer any questions we had and gave us good tips during our stay. The location cannot be beat. Walkable to downtown Las Terrenas, but not in the mix with all the motorcycles and ATVs...still relatively quiet and the beach is across the street. The location is also close to Play Bonita and Coson both amazingly peaceful and uncrowded beaches just a short drive away. The location is walkable to all the restaurants in Las Terrenas and not far from grocery stores. Stay here! You won't regret it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this gem! The property manager was in contact with us after our flight landed to ensure she knew when we'd be arriving. As we got closer, she gave us specific instructions where to meet her in town so that we could follow her to our condo. The complex had a gated entrance (with security guard). The unit was absolutely stunning when we walked in. It was well kept and decorated. The outdoor patio has covered and uncovered sections. A water cooler in the kitchen was great if you didn't want to drink the tap water. It had two very large bedrooms and bathrooms and all of the supplies we needed (bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs, etc) as well as a well furnished kitchen. The property manager took the time to show us on a map some places we wouldn't want to miss (Luis' restaurant for one....where we ate and went surfing at the beach). Her recommendations were spot on, and very glad she took the time to review with us. There were a few bars/restaurants that you could walk to at night, and downtown was too far either. To the west of the unit we found some nice little beach bars as well, just around the corner. Can't say that we would change anything, and would definitely look to stay here again when we come back!

We had a wonderful time in the Domenican Republic and home base was great. The townhouse was clean and lovely. The fans did the trick and kept us cool so that we did not need the air conditioner at all. We quickly adjusted to the activity of the island and everyone was helpful and friendly. This was a big adventure for us since we rented a car, drove it to other beaches, and learned a little Spanish too! We were surrounded by beautiful beaches.

Our family of 4 loved this condo and the easy access to a variety of unique beaches, incredible dining choices and most importantly, opportunities to interact with folks from the area and all over the world. Las Terranas has a wonderful international influence. The condo was impeccably well appointed, and Alma was great at helping us with anything we needed. Would highly recommend this to other adventuresome families!

We recently stayed at Mike's condo in Las Terrenas. We were absolutely blown away by how helpful, responsive and caring both Mike the owner and Alma the real estate manager were. We have never experienced that level of caring throughout our stay; from the cold beers Mike left us to Alma having her secretary escort us through a difficult pharmacy visit. The condo is outstanding. The space is huge, modern, exceptionally clean and very very well maintained. Every little detail has been thought of to make sure your stay is enjoyable. For us we used the beach towels, beach chairs and coolers the most. The deck is huge and should be considered and entirely different living room. Each space has its own ceiling fan which was more than enough to keep us cool in March and we never needed to use the A/C. We did not rent a car but instead an ATV Quad via the neighboring hotels concierge Jose who also arranged our personalized tours in the area. Las Terrenas is an incredibly vibrant town that is constantly in motion and can be equally frenetic and sleepy. Our personal favorites were the French bakery and a French restaurant very close by callled Thelassa. We realize we only provided Mike and Alma a 4 star rating. The missing 5th star has nothing to do with their outstanding help, condo quality and personal responsiveness, we deducted one star because of one significant thing we wished we knew going in and that is this is a consistently noisy spot. The level of scooter, motorcycle, ATV and to a lesser degree car and truck traffic driving along the beach road was pretty significant and while it was not anything close to downtown Las Terrenas, it got to be pretty annoying and the love of using the horns on the motorbikes only added to the drowning out of the ocean. The traffic dropped off and or died around 8-9 each night. If you use the A/C, you'll have the windows and doors closed so the noise will not be a factor. We feel Mike has the best property on the water in Las Terrenas from what we saw, and it is someplace we'd return to motorbikes, horns and all.

We decided to visit Las Terrenas as a possible retirement location. We weren't disappointed. It is exceptionally beautiful. The people were warm and friendly and very helpful. One of the things we don't like about some areas of the world are pushy people that want to sell you anything and everything at exorbitant prices. The people of Las Terrenas are not like that. Yes they want to sell you things but if you say "no thank you" they accept that and go on their way. The people we met and interacted with were so helpful and made us feel like part of their family or very close friends. The condo we stayed in for 10 nights called Ventanas al Mar was very comfortable, well equiped with everything you would need for a fun vacation on the beach and very safe. And did I say a wonderful location!? The beach cafes were a few steps away and the beach was across the street. Perfect! We walked to town everyday about half a mile along the beach and it was breathtaking! The town was a wonderful mix of new and modern for things likes restaurants, pharmacies and grocery stores to native and picturesque for beach cafes and shopping for souvenirs. The property managers, Alma and Jesus, were the best and tremendously helpful. Mike, the owner, gave us great directions to get there and suggested a great BBQ place to stop at on our way with delicious food. We will be going back as we feel this will be our final forever home.

We stayed at Ventanas al Mar with our 2 teenage boys for 6 nights. The condo was just as the pictures and description showed on Michael's listing. Alma and Jesus were wonderful property managers and great resources for activities, beaches and restaurants to try. Alma even helped us track down my husband's lost luggage and arranged a tour for us to El Limon Waterfalls. Each afternoon we would play a family game of Spike Ball on the beach across the street from Ventanas al Mar before walking to one of the nearby beach bars for happy hour! We truly enjoyed exploring all the local beaches to find the best ones for paddle boarding, skim boarding and boogie boarding. Las Terrenas has a wonderful selection of restaurants as well as a great French bakery and churro carts (our boy's favorite)! This 2 bedroom apartment is splendidly located right across the street from the beach. good restaurants nearby. on the second floor with the pool and ocean view from the balcony which is large and lovely. everything worked and we were welcomed by nice people. MIke is super at prepping you for the trip and a pleasure to work with. follow his directions from the airport and do stop at the rib place. our favorite restaurant and beach were 5 km away at Coson beach (Luis Parrillada) ...our g-kids liked the horseback ride on the beach. Mike's place is reasonably priced for all that you get, well stocked and supplied, and a great place to stay!

Just an absolutely gorgeous condo with a beautiful view! We loved the fact that part of the deck was covered so we could sit outside even during the rain, which we unfortunately had way too much during our stay. Kitchen was perfect for our needs and the bed was very comfortable. We only used the AC that was in the bedroom at night and left the windows open everywhere else. Very comfortable and no insects/mosquitoes whatsoever. We mostly walked to the restaurants but also rented an ATV for excursions. A very unique driving experience with scooters everywhere!! Excellent food wherever we went. Alma was tremendous! Highly recommend!

Absolutely spectacular location and accommodations! Owner has thought of everything you could possibly want or need. Right on the beach and close to restaurants and shops (Fisherman's Village). Very spacious condo with everything that was important to us (pool w/ hot tub; WiFi; tv/NetFlix; plenty of parking; 24 hr. Security). Owner and property manager also very helpful with plenty of information about the area (places to go & things to do). Highly recommended - we'd go back tomorrow if we could !! Owner also exceptionally responsive (he actually cares that you want for nothing ...).

I travelled to Las Terrenas with our four daughters and the plan was for my husband to join us a few days later. I rented a car through Travelocity and it was conveniently waiting for us when we arrived. The airport is small and easy to get around, even with four kids in tow. We arrived at the condo with no problems with the directions given to us by Mike. We were met by Alma who showed us around the condo and gave me driving/walking directions to the important spots (grocery, etc). Driving was interesting with all the scooters and narrow streets but I adjusted easily. My husband took sick and was unable to join us, but we always felt safe. The beach right outside the complex was beautiful and so easy to walk along to get to Fisherman's village (Lazy Dog for the fried shrimp, fish soup, and watermelon breezes; One Love; Terrenas; Cayuco were our favourites). Mojitos for the seafood ceviche ( I agree, Mike); XO for the passion fruit aperitif! We LOVED poking through the little shops in town and the street food was delicious. Horseback riding down to El Limon; Zip lining at Runners; Surfing lessons at Playa Bonita at Pirata were some of our favourite excursions. We did not use the tours agencies, but it is easy to find any of these activities and more. We tipped the people who provided us with directions and we were even escorted to areas that may be hard to find. Alma's husband, Jesus, came to our rescue one night when I forgot the key inside the apartment. He was kind and jovial, despite being called out at a rather late hour. During the last few days of our stay, Semana Santa was underway. although the music was loud, it ended at midnight. We appreciated the backup generator during those evenings, as the music/lights for the parties obviously used up a lot of electricity. The influx of people was not a problem for us and we continued to feel safe in our guarded community. My girls loved the pool and it was convenient to be able to watch them from our huge veranda. They visited with the security guards who were always kind and helpful. We all loved the dogs who were plentiful but always well behaved and sweet. No begging, even in the restaurants. The streets were clean, safe, the people were helpful and kind and didn't mind spending the time with us in order to be understood. In a nutshell, we had the time of our lives and truly enjoyed having the condo as our landing point. Comfortable, beautiful, roomy! Marcie, Erica, Nadia, Katrina, and Ava

My friend and stayed here for 3 weeks and had such a great time! Plus, the pictures of the view from the terrace do not do it justice.......it's like being in the middle of a fabulous photo! And being just across the street from the Ocean lets you hear the waves, which is especially wonderful at night. The staff and owner are amazing in making sure that your vacation is everything you want it to be. And don't forget to do the whale watching in Samana. An enjoyable vacation is a definite given!!!
