We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jill's property. Overlooking the ocean was amazing. Jill is so attentive to whatever you need. She gave us tons of recommendations on what to see and do during our stay. I would definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Dana Point and this property truly delivered. The view was spectacular and home was as described. Jill was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to respect our privacy and deliver a quality place to stay. Due to an initial mix-up to which unit was available during our available time, she made an accommodation to share her parking space to make it easy for our two cars - truly a great host. The location in Dana Point is central to everything and the walking access to Strands Beach and the Conservation area was a bonus. Would highly recommend and would stay there again!

The view is stunning. If you want a perfectly maintained and constantly updated place to stay, there are the Ritz suites nearby for $3,000 per night (excluding the resort fee of $60 per night, with no kitchen or laundry, and the same exact view). Jill is a wonderful host who rents a fun place that is comfortably maintained. In order to set expectations, I would call it well-used and well-kept up with, however, you will find a cracked tile here and there, or an odd bathroom set-up, but it all works in cozy way and in a way we enjoyed and will return to.

We had an excellent experience staying at Jill's place. Communication was great from start to finish. The home is spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The biggest positive is the incredible location overlooking the Pacific with incredible whitewater and coastal views. If you enjoy surfing, beach hikes, or just hanging out on an amazing deck, this is the spot!

I chose this property over staying at The Ritz where my business conference was and it was the right decision! The view is absolutely breathtaking, the whole property is lovely, the beds are comfy and we LOVED our stay! Hope to come back again.

My husband and I recently stayed at this condo for a week. It was in a wonderful location and had the most amazing ocean views. We loved sitting out on the balcony watching the sunrise and sunsets. The condo was very clean, the beds were comfy and we had everything we needed for our stay. Jill is an excellent host and is very responsive. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful stay, view and experience right on the ocean. In a period of a lot of uncertainty, this was an excellent place to stay for six weeks. The owner, Jill, was very communicative and helpful. She gave us some guidance about local establishments food quality and outdoor seating, which we were very interested in during a surge in the pandemic. The location was perfect for daytime and nighttime walks on the beach. The beach didn’t have much of a boardwalk, but the terrain, especially at lower tide times made for some wonderful walks. The nearby area of Dana Point, San Clemente and Laguna Niguel had everything one needs from groceries, to fine eateries/bakeries, and places to shop. Property is very high on our list for a return visit. Would highly recommend.

The condo was perfect for us. The view was incredible with a very easy access to the beach below. All the rooms were beautifully decorated, the kitchen wonderfully supplied with pots and pans of every description, and the beds very comfortable . We couldn’t have asked for more!!

Good choice if you want to relax and enjoy the view and the see. Very quiet and lovely place.

Dealing with the owners behavior was an absolute nightmare. On the first morning of our vacation we were woken to the sounds of an electric chainsaw, demolition, banging and extremely loud construction work at 6 am from her unit above us. It scared my daughter to tears. The walls are paper thin so it sounded like the construction was in our room. We were never informed of any construction work prior to our visit and we told her of our need for sleep but she said she couldn’t do anything about it and the contractors were scheduled for the entire week of our vacation. We never would have booked a vacation under those circumstances. When the construction stops her yapping dogs begin. It was never peaceful. I wish I would have considered the other reviewer who had similar problems but I figured the general feedback was positive from others. Beach access is deceiving. The house sits on top of a cliff, you need to hike up and down for about a mile to acres beach. Garages look like a storage room with junk and no room to park. Again, the views are incredible. However, when I travel other elements are important to me. For me sleep is a must, I didn’t get that here. Consistent, working internet, you don’t get that here. A kind hostess with integrity, this was my biggest issue. She avoided all responsibility for her behavior, made excuses and showed no remorse. We had three other weeks scheduled for this unit and we have cancelled all of them. It was more important for her to profit during her construction than it was to be honest and give us a choice. We would have happily scheduled somewhere else, had we known. We would have been guests for life with a little consideration. I also want to mention the problem showers too. The hot water heater runs out of hot water after 3 minutes. This was a slight disappointment but livable if all other circumstances were ideal. The real issue was the fear of taking a shower because the entire ceiling had busted open from all of the construction. We did need to end our visit early and we left sleep deprived. Our travels home was one of complete denial that a person could behave with such a lack of decency. Her behavior was very Machiavelli. Jill, your behavior and lack of care for your guests was rude, unfounded and reprehensible. I hope you learn your lesson and you allow your future guests a much better experience. We will not be returning.

Had a wonderful stay. Unit was very clean and comfortable and the views were amazing. Only negative was that I was put in a unit different than the one that I reserved, which did not have the large ocean-facing patio shown in the picture. My stay was short and I was by myself, so it wasn't a big deal for me but it might be for others.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Jill was very responsive to make sure we had everything we needed. It was just big enough for 2 adults and one 7yr old. I didn't want ocean front but wanted to be close enough to see the beach and the waves. Every morning and evening we got to watch the surfers below. The walkway down to the beach is just steps away and only took a few minutes to get down to the beach. The beach is great (not crowded at all, nearby restrooms, etc). The homes you share this beach with easily run $20M+. Very easy to get to I-5. Grocery markets, restaurants, etc. are <5min drive.I love that Jill provides wireless Internet and TV with plenty of channels. We're pretty demanding on the tech-side so this worked very well for us. The unit has plenty of utensils and various other necessities that we didn't feel like we had to go buy it. It can get a little stuffy if you leave during a hot day but after opening up the patio door, it only takes a few minutes to cool things off. Having a ceiling fan in the main bedroom was really great. I believe each unit has a BBQ available which was great to have even though we didn't use it.I would definitely suggest this as a place to highly consider. You won't get these types of views and access to the beach like this anywhere else. It's very affordable considering hotel prices so we ultimately were very happy with our stay.

Throughly enjoyed our stay at Jill's ocean view condo. From the deck we could see beautiful water and beach views, and at night there was a city light view. The kitchen was great for cooking dinner, well stocked and great light. If you don't want to cook there are many good restaurants less than 5 minutes away. We also enjoyed the walking paths practically right outside the door. The condo was clean with very comfortable beds (and I am picky.). The shower had good water pressure and bathrooms had plenty of towels,shampoo, etc . The decor was nice with great art work. We can't wait for our next visit!

Too much furniture in the main room. The table and two chairs near the fire place and the air condition (which didn't work) should go. It didn't have the beach house feel. All though sleeping was quite. All the Oleanders was always bought into the house.

The views from this property are exactly as the pictures show - fabulous! Although the bedrooms are in the back, because of the layout you can hear the waves crashing all night - nature's way of lulling us to sleep. Jill is on the property and she's great. The walk to the beach is a hike with steps and ramps, but we thought of it as our daily exercise after enjoying all the delicious restaurants that are minutes away by car. If you want wonderful ocean and beach views, comfortable accommodations (the master suite bed was so comfortable!), and great restaurants and things to see, then we recommend this condo.

The property was great and the amenities were perfect. And the Strand is one of the best beaches in So Cal! Jill was an excellent host, always very accomodating. We plan on coming back soon!

We had a lovely week at this condo in July 2016! You won't find a better location or view in Dana Point! The condo itself is comfortable and clean, and having Jill nearby for questions or concerns (not that we had many), is helpful. We would definitely recommend this condo/owner. What a great time we spent here. Everything was better than expected. The condo was so well equipped we had no need for anything. The views are probably the best you can get. The beach is great for surfing, boogie boarding, swimming or just chilling. Jill was there for any of our needs, a real ray of sunshine. Can't wait to return!

View and location are good, however other factors mar the experience; garage is full of furniture, Internet intermittent and weak, and next door residential construction begins before 7 am, and owners dogs (upstairs apartment) bark whenever she's away. Our holiday was particularly effected by owners onsite construction (noise and inconvenience), and investation of ants ( we declined pesticide because of our dog), and a number of issues which were fixable once we complained. If you choose this property, do your homework, ask for current photos, and be clear about your expectations and priorities.

We stayed for six weeks in Mandela, one of four units in this building. The view of Strand Beach and up the coast was spectacular. The condo was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped and a washer and dryer were in the unit. In addition to the beach there are lots of walking trails nearby. Sitting on the deck looking out at the beach and ocean was a joy. Jill could not have been more helpful. We hope to return next year.

We stayed at Jill's condo in April to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday weekend. There were 4 of us in our family and it was perfect. The condo has the most glorious views and Strand beach below provided beautiful walks and sunsets every day we were there. The condo is well equipped and lovely. We actually loved the stairs to the beach. It was our daily workout, stairclimber! We even saw whales twice from our balcony during our stay. Jill and Nita were a pleasure to deal with and I hope to come back for a longer stay next time. You are also very close to restaurants and shops in both Dana Point and Laguna Beach. You must go to Stacks for breakfast. I highly recommend renting from her. We will be back!

Highly recommend these condos. Great views, clean, well stocked, path to the beach is a bit of a workout, but so worth it! Will be back!

6 of us stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our SoCal vacation. I don't think you can get a better view of the Pacific Ocean! The condo was clean and very well equipped. The walk to and from the beach is quite a work out, but there is a parking lot with a funicular right down the street for anyone that can't handle the beach path. I can't recommend this condo enough! We are already planning on returning!

My sister and I wanted a special place to take our mother for her 78 th birthday. She is not able to walk very far and is mostly wheel chair bound. She was able to navigate her scooter perfectly in and out of the condo without any problem. Even though it was unrealistic to get her to the water, we enjoyed the most incredible sunsets and and unbelievable views of the coastline everyday. I have always stayed in laguna but found dana point and the strands much less ingested and easier to get around. I think dana point and this condo will be our annual vacation destination.
