Amazing Log Cabin on the Water!
Laissez derrière vous tous vos soucis et laissez-vous aller à Cody’s Cabin sur le lac Smith. Avec toute la beauté à l'intérieur, vous avez tendance à oublier la raison principale vous êtes venu ici, mais vous finirez par vous retrouver sur le porche arrière couverte donnant sur les eaux étonnamment claires et profondes du corps principal de Rock Creek.
Une grande cour clôturée permet maman et papa l'occasion se détendre dans la rockers porche ou très unique swing et regarder les enfants jouer. Lorsque vous êtes prêt à aller vers le lac, une petite promenade vous mène à l'embarcadère avec Pier baignade et doubles ascenseurs de jet-ski. Vous aurez certainement envie de profiter de la grande gril à gaz inox profiter de votre repas dans le gazebo au bord du lac avec table de pique-nique et double planeur. Nice location on a beautiful lake, but the house is in great need of upkeep and maintenance. The decor is very outdated and the house is very dark. The ice machine was broken, and the kitchen was very dirty.
The outside fence was broken and the “gazebo” by the lake is basically condemned and unusable. The dock is old and scary. The deck needs to be completely rebuilt, as there are pieces of broken wood which is dangerous and the outdoor “ fireplace” is disgusting. Overall, the yard and outdoor areas need attention. I’ve rented numerous houses on the lake for years, and this was a disappointment.

Great place for the family. Swimming and fishing right in the backyard. Short walk to the dock. Bedrooms were arranged perfectly for our family. 3 bathrooms a definite plus. Cell service a little spotty but that just forces families to spend time enjoying each other instead of being on their phones.

This cabin was everything we were looking for in an extended weekend vacation. The home is simply breathtaking, and the lake views are gorgeous. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms, and the layout of the property is ideal for multiple couples. Our group never felt crowded or in each other's way, and the privacy was really nice. The guys enjoyed fishing right off the shoreline, and the rest of enjoyed the mild weather in the shade of the gazebo. We're looking forward to going back to Cody's Cabin again!

Beautiful cabin. No wood for fireplaces was disappointing. Comfortable beds. No tv’s for kiddos in bedrooms, Wi-Fi was trouble some at times. I’m guessing water level was down which made ramp a little scarey to walk on, although we couldn’t find any fish in the lake 🐟 It was relaxing and plenty of seating overall. Location was nice and easy to find. Had a great birthday

We felt like we stepped into a Ralph Lauren commercial!!! Beautifully rustic with all the amenities. We celebrated our 30th anniversary there and really enjoyed the peace and quiet

When we walked through the front door of the cabin we were amazed at how beautiful it is. The furnishings are amazing!
The kitchen has more accessories than any other place we've ever stayed.
The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms totally modern and spotless.
The back porch and swing were my happy spot.
The gazebo with glider...another happy place.
Super easy access to the water with dock to either fish from or jump off for a swim...but there is a ladder for the more timid swimmers.
I think we spent more time on the huge deck than anywhere else. So nice with so much seating to enjoy the fireplace...even though we didn't build a fire.
The view is incredible!
Needless to say...we loved it!

Our family enjoyed 3 nights at Cody’s Cabin, making memories together. It was the perfect place for us, easily accommodating 2 sets of grandparents (in their 70’s), aunt & uncle (40’s), mom & dad & baby; as it offered plenty of bathrooms & bedrooms with king size beds. Additionally, fenced backyard made for less stress keeping up with a 1.5 year old and two dogs.

This is our 5th time renting this house with our whole family (ages 8 - 77) and we love it more and more every year! There's plenty of room for everyone, the kitchen is so well stocked and large enough to feed the whole crew, and the view of the lake is perfect. We can't wait to come back next year.

This place is nice - a real cabin feel. Plenty of room and bathrooms. Our grandsons loved the upstairs loft - we put all their toys up there. We also really liked the glider in the gazebo. The cabin was a little dark - need to use brighter bulbs. I put a bright colored tablecloth on the dining table and that brightened things up a bit. Just a few short steps to the dock, which is always a good thing.

Absolutely Beautiful!! Everything was extremely nice. Kids kept saying how nice the cabin was…..I think they were trying to talk us into buying a cabin on the lake…..just might, lol Everything about the place was perfect, like being at home!! Will rent again next summer if available!!!!

I rented Cody’s Cabin for a short impromptu getaway with a couple of family members and friends. The cabin is spacious and roomy. Plenty of place to spread out inside and out. The bedrooms were spacious and well decorated with a great cabin aesthetic. Three great bathroom’s especially the primary bedroom’s bathroom. House was very clean and well appointed. Host was very nice and responsive to questions. Would definitely go back!

Got together with family for a long weekend. Needed a place that slept 8 comfortably and was pet friendly. This cabin was perfect. We felt so welcomed by the host, and loved the property! This cabin was decorated so beautifully - from the Spode China to the golden retriever etched glasses, two indoor fireplaces, a beautiful rain shower with a rock wall, and seriously comfy beds. Can’t say enough nice things… and the view of the lake was lovely. We enjoyed the porch swing, the outdoor fireplace, gas grill, gazebo and the chaise lounge chairs on the floating pier. Very relaxing…

We loved our stay at Cody's Cabin! The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked with really nice appliances and cookware, and the views were incredible. We loved the fenced yard for our dogs and the super-easy walk to the dock. We would absolutely recommend!

My family opted to do a cabin for what was likely our last Christmas together (father has cancer). Upon arrival, we saw mice, lightbulbs were out, and smoke detectors were dead. We contacted the property manager and spoke to the owner about these issues. We thought things had been resolved, but, throughout the entire weekend, smoke detectors continued to die, and we kept seeing mice and finding poop on pillows, beds, and in the kitchen and cabinets. We also had no hot water in the primary master due to the tankless water heater being located outside and severe cold temps (which is why most are inside), and the faucet in another bathroom was broken. When we brought the hot water issue to the owner, he dismissed this and stated there were 2 other bathrooms and to just use them. We traveled a long ways to this place and other similar/surrounding options were booked due to the holiday so relocating was not accessible. Because of this and being told the detectors would work, we stayed. Our disastrous weekend ended when we emergency evacuated at 5AM due to smoke filling the cabin - NONE of the smoke alarms went off. We opened doors to ventilate the smoke while we evacuated ourselves and major belongings. By the time the fire department arrived, nearly 45 minutes later, a lot of the initial smoke was gone. The FD said if we had not called, the entire house would have caught on fire and burnt down within hours due to an electrical fire in the crawl space under the house. Luckily, one of our group woke everyone or this could have been far worse since none of the detectors sounded. The owner was unresponsive for hours after this emergency despite multiple attempts to reach him. When he finally responded, he minimized how severe this incident was and could have been. We selected this cabin because of its overall reviews, but, I should have read the owner's responses to anything less than 5 stars - they are passive aggressive and dismissive - which was the same trend to every problem we encountered. I’m glad to have my family home and intact.

The property manager brought us firewood on a Sunday. He was awesome. We loved the cabin as advertised. The location was awesome. We will go back and stay for sure.

The property is a classic cabin in the woods. The views are beautiful. I can see how much fun it would be to play in the lake in the warmer months. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing I would recommend is bringing warm pjs and slippers in the colder months. We had some very cold nights and the house got pretty chilly. The owner requests that the heat temperature not go above 68. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Very clean property. Comfortable cabin. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Kids had fun swimming on the dock - too cold for me. Dogs had a blast too and the fenced-in backyard made it more enjoyable not having to worry about dogs wandering off. Enjoyed outdoor fireplace at night and cooked s'mores with family. Rented a boat from local marina and had a good time enjoying the beautiful scenery. Overall great trip to Smith Lake

My family really enjoyed this rental! It was easy to get too and loved that the pier was not far from the house with very little steps down to water. Plenty of parking for our 5 cars. Some of our family had to drive 2 cars due to work and was worried about parking but there was plenty of room. The house was very clean, very spacious, and we loved having 3 King size beds! I loved it was pet friendly. The fence is not conducive to small dogs as they may can get out through boards. There is one place on fence where a board has come off but we managed to put a chair there to keep our dogs from finding it. We had medium to large size dogs and it was nice to not have to worry every time we let them out. The kitchen is very well stocked with more than enough dishes, glasses, cups, pots, pans, cookware, crockpot, coffee pots(2), etc.....You do need to bring your own liquid dish soap if you like to wash some bigger items instead of using up space in dish washer. They do provide you with plenty of dishwasher pods though. You also need to bring own hand soap. Some lake rentals provide it and some don't. I meant to bring some but forgot it , but our daughter was able to bring us some, so it wasn't a problem for us. Communication with owners were very easy and prompt. We loved that the living room furniture was VERY comfortable with enough seating for our family. Some beds were more comfortable than others but we do not expect it to be like you are at home. Having large bedrooms with 3 kings, 3 bathrooms , plus the loft was Great! I also loved that the outdoor grill was large, new, and under the covered front porch , especially since it was raining during our stay! It worked great and had plenty of propane. We rented a boat from Triple Creek Marina that was very close. They even delivered boat to us which was great! We Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your home with us so we could have family time on the lake.

This property delivered as promised. It is an excellent location on the lake with very few steps to the water. The dock was great for both swimming and boating., 2 marinas within a mile each direction. Plenty of parking with an extremely well stocked kitchen.

Don't let the outside fool you, This property was fantastic. The outside is very rustic, but you open up the door and it was a beautiful log cabin feel! Big windows in the living room over looking the lake, and the decor was perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the things you would need to cook with. My daughter cooked every night for the family and she was raving about how much the house had! Not all properties are this equipped. The outdoor space was great as well. We used the back deck a lot. It had a great fireplace, lots of space for my grandson to walk abound as well. The dock was great too. Lots of room for the whole family to enjoy the water and be together. The walk down to the dock was very short too. That was nice! Larry the owner was very communicative and answered emails with in 1 day! The backyard was also fenced in, which we loved! It was exactly what we wanted. It was in a great location between Nashville and Birmingham where my family is spread out. If we decide to go back to Smith Lake, we will be booking this home!!

Fabulous Getaway!
We loved our stay at Cody’s Cabin. The property is great for a group. We had age ranking from 84 to 18 months. We loved that there weren’t a lot of stairs to get to the lake. The gazebo and the dock were fantastic. The owner Larry is VERY responsive and professional with any questions that may arise. The house is laid out perfectly and is spacious. Beds and showers are fantastic. I can’t say enough great things about the property!

Quiet and rustic and loved that we could bring our dogs!!
We really enjoyed our stay here and the fact that we were allowed to being our two dogs, we had a wonderful time. The house is very rustic and clean and had lots of supplies. We would definitely stay here again!!
