We loved our (1) week stay at Venice Place ! The location was perfect, both for local eating, shopping ,beach and bike path and also a quick drive to I-10, which we hopped-on often to investigate the LA area. Being in an Off the Grid house was fun to experience and everything ran perfectly. Located at the end of a Cul de Sac , a few houses from a Park and a municipal Golf Course and in a friendly neighborhood, yet far enough from Lincoln Blvd. ( US 1 or PCH ) as to not hear any traffic. Tastefully decorated in mid-century style through-out , the kitchen was well appointed , the big glass window in the bathroom made you feel like you were privately bathing out-of-doors . The outdoor patio w/ water feature and chaise, table and chairs was lovely and private and the Landscaping on the entire property was beautiful and well maintained.The bed , linens and towels were excellent . Everything was as stated on the web site. LA was experiencing a Heat Wave and so upon our arrival the house was H_O_T and very uncomfortable . They had just installed a portable air conditioning fixture ( a bit noisy and not an AC unit ) in the bedroom, so that room was OK , but the rest of the house was pretty unbearable . ( I would suggest that Modern Life look into a couple of ceiling fans for those warm Summer days in the future ) We called the Concierge, who responded immediately and professionally , and the next day someone arrived with two big floor fans . Not a perfect solution for the stuffy heat, but they sufficed. Being a mile or so from the the Santa Monica private-plane Airport ( only open from 7-11 ), was not really a problem for us , but we did hear planes taking off occasionally . We rented (2) optional bikes from Modern Life and had a blast using them to get around Venice Beach and up to Santa Monica on the Bike path along the Ocean . All in all , we had a very positive experience being at Venice Place and would definitely recommend it to friends and family and will most probably return there ourselves in the future . Both Carlos and Elsie , the Concierge team ,were friendly and very professional from the Reservation get-go and remained that way throughout our stay.

Great location on deadend street. Easy parking. Easy walk/bike to beach, whole foods, shopping. Got a taste of what living in Venice may be like. Comfy bed, fabulous sheets, sweet outdoor area. Prefect for 1-2 people. I'd definitely rebook.
