We wanted a private on the beach setting where the waves and sounds of the ocean were present and not just a high rise resort this time. That paired with the Primo restaurant next door and the views from there is just heaven. Carlisle Bay is10/15 away and I would recommend if looking for the same ocean experience.

The villa is in a awesome location . Very central to all your needs. Beach was amazing most of our trip we were the only ones using it. Tim was a great host . Highly recommend

Tim is an amazing host. He accommodated us in every way possible which made our stay very enjoyable. Having morning coffee on the deck overlooking the bay was our favorite part. Perfect location for walking to restaurants/stores and watching the sunsets. Make sure you get in touch with his buddy Mike who will be your personal ambassador for anything and everything!

We needed a place for one night and this was a great last minute find ! Less than 15 minutes from the airport - the host was kind enough to arrange pick up for our group is 7 since we were coming in later in evening. Rental was better than expected - listing very accurate. Great communication - thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

My experience at Villa Jarrow was amazing. Pictures cannot describe what you will experience while you are staying at the villa! Beautiful deck. Beautiful living space...beautiful everything. Truly a little piece of perfection on the island. You are near several shops and night life. Tim is an incredible host! He met us at the villa and gave us a personal tour and brought mangos from his tree!! He called to make sure we were getting around ok and if we needed anything. The personal touch of renting this space is invaluable! Tim...we will be back! Incredible!

I together with 5 friends stayed at this property for 8 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I cannot relate to any of the comments in the previous review.The property was very clean, we had no issues with the kitchen, bathroom or any of the facilities and it was spacious enough for our group. The water pressure and warmth of the water in the showers could be better but this is just a minor issue. Roseanne cleaned the property meticulously, Rudolph was nearly always available to drive us wherever we wanted and Tim was very accommodating with any request we made. The location of this property is fantastic, its only a few steps down to the beach and coffee in the morning on the verandah looking out at the ocean is truly something. It is also very close to numerous bars restaurants and beach bars, you are spoiled for choice We all had a wonderful time in Barbados and this property was an ideal place for us to stay and would return there when we decide to return to this fabulous island

Kitchen filthy bathrooms cracked tiles broken mirrors dirty showers filthy linen and pillows lights missing doors jammed cracked plates toaster and juicer broken cooker so dirty could not use outside sun beds broken and filthy cockroaches in property I could go on this place advertised on your website shows photos taken 16 years ago as agreed with the host I informed him of all my complaints and he agreed to compensate me but has done nothing about so I expect a refund from your company as it was to you that I paid the considerable amount of money finally I believe that this property should be taken off your listing also I have many photos to prove what I am telling you is correct

Villa Jarrow was a slice of paradise in the Gap. The location is perfect, on the edge of the bars and restaurants but still feels secluded and private. The terrace is as good as it looks, access directly to the beach and we were able to swim with the turtles in the bay! Timothy is great, he was on hand although we didn’t need much at all! The only thing which could improve the villa are the showers/ bathrooms but it’s worth staying for the terrace alone! We will be back, it just can’t come soon enough!

This villa is literally ON the beach and has beautiful views. The historic nature of the home has a lot of character and the design offers a lot of space to enjoy the property.

Beautiful views in a good location, close to restaurants and a hop skip and a jump from the Gap. Although many thins closed due to COVID 19 we enjoyed that it was probably quieter than usual and loved the sound of the ocean right beneath us. We did not get in the water here because it was pretty rough during our stay die to Tropical storms. I could see where during the calm, it could be quite noce to swim out to the reefs. I would def come back ot his location.

The location was perfect to all the restaurants and bars in St. Lawrence Gap! The best of. Purse was waking up to the beautiful ocean view and hearing the waves crashing! We were greeted by Tim who had a bottle of rum punch waiting for us! The property is totally amazing - everything you need is taken care of but the star of the show is the balcony. Which actually juts out over the beach so the waves go under the decking! The sunset is the best time of day for enjoying t]hat amazing light over the Caribbean Sea. We also met Mike who has a boat moored outside the villa. He took us fishing, snorkelling and a trip up the west coast. I consider Tim and Mike friends and strongly encourage you to go and stay at this villa.

The pictures of the Villa give you a sense of the place but can not match the feeling of sitting on the deck with your coffee or rum punch and watching the waves roll in. It's almost like sitting in the water. Our host Tim met us at the Villa when we arrived and provided our first glass of rum punch and joined us for our first time on the deck - a great way to start a great vacation. Tim also hooked us up with Michael the Turtleman, who provided our family of 5 with an extraordinary boat trip that included snorkeling with the sea turtles and around some sunken ships. There are sea turtles in the harbor outside the Villa but we only saw them on our last day there so our boat trip was a great way to not only see the turtles but also see other parts of the area from the sea. There is a night club in the area that plays music late into the night, which made it noisy in the bedroom closest to the water. I slept in that room and found that ear plugs solved the problem for me. Otherwise Villa Jarrow was a great place for our vacation.

Our family greatly enjoyed our stay at Villa Jarrow! We were a family of 4, with 3 adults and one 11 year old. Several more people could easily be comfortable in this villa. Communication with Tim was great from the very start and continued all throughout our visit. He arranged transportation for us from the airport, which was a huge relief traveling to unfamiliar territory. He then gave us a complete tour of the house and dropped us off for groceries. He also connected us with “Turtle Man” Mike, who took us out on a wonderful day of snorkeling with turtles! The house itself is quaint and full of character. We loved being able to have the house open and hear the waves crash 24/7. The area tends to be very loud at night with music blaring from the night clubs in the Gap. You can hear it best in the bedroom closest to the water, but the stone walls, fans, and A/C drowned it out in the other bedrooms. But please be aware if you are a light sleeper or bothered by loud music. If you are looking for upscale, 5 star accommodations—this is not it. But if you are looking for a comfortable home with a million-dollar view and a convenient location, you have found it! We were very happy with our choice to stay in St. Lawrence Gap with so many restaurants within walking distance. We also traveled around the entire island with a rental car from this location with no problem. Don’t miss Bathsheba and Animal Flower Cave! They were 2 great highlights of our trip. Book Villa Jarrow now! You won’t be disappointed!

Definitely recommend this property! Can’t say how many times we've said out loud how much we loved this villa. The property shows its original charm yet has been restored beautifully. Tim was a gracious host and great communicator not only during the booking process but throughout our entire stay. He arranged airport transfers and greeted us with local rum punch. The location of this villa is perfect for those that like to walk and explore. We had no need to rent a car. We walked to several nearby restaurants, bars, and beaches where we could lay out, swim, and order food and drinks on the beach. There was no shortage of entertainment within minutes of the house. What we loved the most was sitting outside on the patio and admiring the gorgeous ocean view. We saw turtles and sting rays from the deck every day. You can also see the ocean view from inside the house and hear the waves crash which was very relaxing. Lastly, the steps outside the entrance of the Gap, overlooking the bay was a beautiful place to watch the sunset and take photos. We will definitely be back!

What a great vacation we had staying at Villa Jarrow! Mr. Boyce met us there upon arrival and to show us around the Villa. He had a bottle of Rum Punch waiting for us, which was very thoughtful! Very nice man! To top that off, I celebrated my birthday there and Mr. BOYCE gave me a bottle of wine with a Cake and also a Barbados beach towel. He introduced us to the Turtle Man/Mike, which was very nice and took us out to swim with the turtles and fishing! Great time exploring beaches and sightseeing in the boat! Definitely a good guy! I would recommend the Villa to everyone! We will definitely be looking forward to another stay! Book early because the Villa stays booked most of the time. Also, I can’t forget Ms Rose, the-house keeper. She is the sweetest lady!

Timothy is a wonderful host. Met is as per other reviews to introduce property, area, answer questions, and drive us to groceries. Also in touch during week and available to answer any questions. The property literally overhangs the ocean. Great sea breezes, and sunsets.

We spent 2 weeks in Barbados for my husband's 40th. This wasn't our first time in Barbados but our first time at Villa Jarrow, where we stayed with our 7 year old boy, my sister-in-law, her husband and their 4 year old girl. I cannot really put into words how much we all loved this property. The property was spacious, clean and safe for kids. The location was also perfect for restaurants and bars. The deck (overlooking the sea) was probably the most used and loved area of the property by all - the kids had breakfast there every morning, my son did his homework there, we watched the fishermen go out early and return with their catch, we played games, slept, talked, laughed, bonded and drank a lot of Banks! There were mosquitos in the evenings, but this was not isolated to the property. We had friends and family (c.16) in Barbados to celebrate with with my husband, and no-one escaped them. Tim made sure the property had everything we needed to keep them at bay. Repellents are also readily available in stores. Now to the owner, Tim. I find Tim a very kind and gracious man. He was at the property to welcome us - we had rum punch, talked like old friends and he took us to the supermarket to get supplies for the next day. He also checked on us during our stay to ensure everything was well. Rose Anne the housekeeper was a gem, as was Julia. Julia has looked after kids of previous guests and we used her during our trip. We hope to be future guests at Villa Jarrow and highly recommend it.

Amazing location and easy to walk to everything! If you want to venture further than a walk, there are taxis very close by. Cute house, great view of the ocean.

Villa Jarrow was absolutely amazing. Located right on its own private beach, with the best restaurants, hotels, and nightlife all within a one block walk, this gorgeous historic property, with its stone walls, vaulted ceilings and french doors, offers some of the best views and beachfront access in all of Barbados. It has french doors that open from the living room right onto a large covered deck built right over the beach, and was absolutely breathtaking to wake up to. Tim, the owner, met us at the property to welcome us, and was super friendly, helpful, and cordial in making us feel right at home. We looked at over 30 properties all over the island and Villa Jarrow is hands-down the best location, value, and quality of anything we looked at. We had an incredible time and would definitely recommend this property to anyone that's looking for a private, beachfront property located right in the heart of the very best part of Bridgetown. First of all, Timothy is one of the most amazing owners we have ever met! He was at Villa Jarrow when we arrived and showed us through the house. We had a lovely drink of rum punch (which he brought) at the picnic table overlooking the Gap. Then he was kind enough to take us on a tour of the Gap and drop us off at Massy’s to get essentials. The fishermen come in daily so you are able to get fresh fish or lobster about 50 yards from the deck. The house is right above the beach with a simple walk down the stairs. And the ocean is a beautiful turquoise and extremely calm. There are a number of sea turtles that swim in the bay. Bruce and myself were fortunate to have them swim within about 15 ft of us daily. We also had the pleasure of Timothy’s company one evening during our stay. There were many laughs and reflections in life. It was one of our most enjoyable evenings. In addition, Rose the housekeeper was a wonderful person. She washed all of our towels and bedding, changed the bed and cleaned the house. It was spotless. Thanks Rose! What we wanted in a holiday was complete privacy and relaxation. Villa Jarrow was our piece of paradise. We hope to have the pleasure of returning sometime in the near future.
