My husband and I had a very relaxing 30 days at Less's Condo at El Zalete . The Condo was very comfortable and the view was spectacular. I enjoyed the use of the computer provided because I did not bring mine. I was able to order Christmas gifts and take care of answering emails easily. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the patio furniture was very nice. We actually spent most of our time on the deck reading and ate most of our meals there as well.
The location is great, the beach is beautiful. Shopping and restaurants are close by.

Fabulous condo with amazing views! We needed to escape the cold of the Northwest and this was the perfect retreat. Walked the beach and hung out at the pool every day. Had wonderful food at Sardina Cantina and grabbed snacks at the local mart. The area was quiet and we felt very safe. The owner Les was very accomodating and communiative. Highly recommend and will plan to visit again.

Two couples occupied 2 bedroom condo on beach near San Jose Del Cabo. Great location. Convenient to reach grocery store and restaurants. Good communication with host. Also reached out to local property manager with a need and was very responsive. Would stay again without reservation

It was a rocky start to the trip with the air conditioning not working and 90 degree temperature. After a very hot night the air onditioning repairman arrived early on our second day and by the end of the day had it fixed. The remainder of our stay was flawless and would recommend the property

The perfect stay
The condo was exactly as portrayed online. The huge balcony was where we spent the majority of the time. The beds were extremely comfortable and bathrooms were very spacious. It was so hard to leave and we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else when coming back to Cabo!

The unit and location was awesome... you can hear the waves hitting the beach 24/7. Clean, extremely well-furnished with everything you need, including kitchen items. Communication was excellent any time there was a question. Highly-recommended!

El Zalate beach front condominium
We loved this condo, the location, the amenities inside the condo are great. The patio is huge, covered, with a gas BBQ, there is an outdoors dining table, two sitting areas on the deck with comfy furniture. The kitchen and living room is open, the stove is gas, great for cooking. There are a couple of boogie boards, some snorkle masks and fins, great beach umbrella with 2 very comfy, foldable beach chairs we used all week. The owner is very responsive, got right back to us before our trip, and we had a few questions during the trip and he replied right away. The water in the unit is filtered, one faucet has triple filtered water for ice machine and drinking. The pool area has 2 pools, and a hot tub, never crowded and super fresh amd clean. We felt very safe with in the unit as well as the grounds. The gate security staff are very helpful, especially a big shootout to Mr. Serano, he was so helpful with information. We, a family of 4, two teens 17 and 18. My husband and I are definitely recommending this 2bdr 2bth condo, the views are amazing, the sunrise right from our beds or the huge deck are amazing. Thank you so much Mr. Twarog!!!!

Very happy
This was my first vrbo experience and I was very happy with everything. The listing was spot on. The experience was great. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Our host provided a great welcome package that was helpful. Any communication we had with our host Les was polite and prompt.

What a View!
There is much to love about this condo. A chef's kitchen. Extremely comfortable beds. Lovely sitting area. However, it is the view that is the winner. It's just as seen in the pictures. Les was very attentive through the reservation process and after we arrived. He provided all of the details and information we needed to make the trip easy and comfortable.

Beautiful Property, Insta-Worthy Terrace, Some Distractions
I stayed for a month long workcation. Had a chance to experience quite a bit. My Pros/Cons:
PROS:
Beautiful Property: meticulously maintained grounds. Security staff very nice and welcoming. All speak English (or some).
Condo Well Maintained: The condo itself is a little dated but is well maintained with upgraded appliances. Nicely decorated, you can see the intent to make every stay comfortable . Literally, anything you need is here. This was impressive.
Terrace is spectacular: By far, the best part. The pictures cannot do it justice. I practically lived on the terrace. It's covered so it blocks much of the sun.
Excellent Communication; Les was responsive to just about everything and very fast. He is nifty with tech gadgets and helped me a lot.
Maintenance & Property Management Responsive: Fixed an AC issue within hours, responded to literally everything I mentioned--even if I said it was not a big deal...they were on it!
CONS
Bluntly: Ants, geckos inside the condo, cockroach and a poorly cleaned condo really took away from what could have been a flawless experience
Ants: Fairly, Les does disclose there could be ants if you don't put food away and take trash out. But I found them the moment I walked in. No food. No trash. They were primarily in the kitchen and guest bath. Every counter top, the walls, the stove, INSIDE the microwave, the windows, floors... ugh.
-->Response: At first, the property management team came to spray. But a few days later the ants were back. I pleaded for an exterminator and I was SO grateful when they sent one. Completely fixed this problem, didn't see one insect after that but it affected nearly 2 weeks of my stay.
Not Clean: Bathroom wreaked of urine, toilet stains, floors dirty, shower dirty/smelled
Wifi Spotty: I bought a UBC to ethernet converter to connect my MAC directly to the internet. It still froze and dropped sometimes. I worked over video calls all day. When I turned my camera off, it was fine but speeds were not great, even when directly connected. I was still able to work overall.
Rolling Power Outage: Bummer when it happens during work. But, it happens. Last about an hour then back to normal. Not many but enough to get used to them.
Taxi vs Uber: Taxis overcharge. Use Uber. Really.
Overall:
Nothing is perfect. In the end, I got so much more from this stay than I expected. Les was very pleasant and neighbors welcoming. With routine extermination, I'd highly recommend.

Comfortable stay for small family, great views
My family had a great time at this condo.
The unit is well equipped and the building has a great location the beach just a few short minutes to lots of great food and shopping. Also having a OXXO just up the road makes it very convenient to pickup necessities.
The building in the off season typically doesn't have many people around, though our young son was able to find other kids at the pool and beach.
Our favorite part of the unit was the balcony.

Right down from the famous Costa Azul surf spot...and Zipper's restaurant...they are on a fabulous stretch of white sand with views of nearly 180 degrees. There are 2 pools plus a hot tub. You have access to a gym and there are tennis courts (or pickleball courts depending on who you ask) going in soon. You are literally in walking distance to several restaurants as well as the Oxxo (Mexican convenience store) that has a lot of the odds and ends you may have forgotten. Also, two major grocery stores - La Comer and Chedraui - are just 5 minutes down the road. You can get anything here that you could get in your home country. They are up to date and modern. For the condo itself, it's fully equipped with a full kitchen so you can eat in if you choose and eat dinner on the expansive deck that runs the length of the condo. There are tv's in every room with satellite service so you can get any channel you watch at home. The host also provides a computer and Wifi for your use. You literally can bring your clothes and you're set.We had a fabulous time. Everything is clean, secure and safe with full Covid precautions in place. Can't recommend this enough!! We can't wait to go back.

Amazing stay
San Jose is a favorite destination for our family. Les’s El Zalate property is exactly what we wanted and expected! Super quiet and comfortable unit. Only noise was the crash of the waves and light wind. Lots of extras from WiFi to beach chairs. Inside had all the amenities, but we spent the majority outside on the huge deck. Most relaxing complex and always had poolside lounge chairs. No need to run down at 6am to reserve your chair. Conveniently located near grocery stores and restaurants. Staff at El Zalate is super friendly and helpful. Asked for a late checkout and Les was super responsive and accommodating. This was our first VRBO experience and stay at El Zalate. We hope to be able to return again next year (or sooner).

Security is very good, but you are in the middle of a lot of traffic (this is not an isolated resort location like the JW, Cape or Westin). Again, it's very safe and very close to the grocery stores.3. If you are looking for a fun beach meal and drinks, go to Mama Mia which is 200 yards down the beach. Drinks are 2 for 1 during happy hour (4-6 PM). The food is fine, but the drinks are a great value and very fun.4. The internet works, but it's about 20-30 MBPS. Adequate, but not really great for working remotely (Zoom, Teams, Etc.). Then again, why would you work when you are staying here.5. The property does a great job with COVID rules. You feel very safe and everyone respected the expectations.6. This is not a spring break place. Don't go here if that is what you are looking for (Cabo is a long cab away).If you are looking for a reasonably priced Condo on the beach (as opposed to new Condos which are not on the beach), you can't go wrong with this option.We highly recommend it.Enjoy the sun!

Wonderful Relaxing Stay
Located in a beautiful area overlooking the pool area and the Sea of Cortez. The views and sunrises were magnificent. Everything you could want or need was supplied by the property owner. Our flight was delayed one day and the owner tacked an additional day to the end of our stay for free! Thanks so much Les for your generosity!

Easy stay
We loved El Zalate. We’ve stayed here before in another unit. This unit was better all the around. The view is amazing and there are 2 ceiling fans and 2 portable fans for the amazing deck. The appliances were all newer and everything worked as advertised. Would recommend this unit to anyone!!

AWESOME CONDO WITH FANTASTIC VIEW OF POOLS, BEACH AND OCEAN!
Recently returned from a month long stay at this great condo. Les thought of everything for his guests. All of the amenities provided meant so much to us. The beds are so comfortable; the view magnificent; the cleanliness superior and the degree of kindness from Les as well as the security officers were unbelievable. This is a wonderful development in a great location! But let that be our secret. I highly recommend this condo in El Zalate ....you won’t forget this experience!!!

Wonderful stay in San Jose del Cabo
The condo was beautiful with a huge outdoor patio, a great view, comfortable beds, and a well-stocked kitchen (e.g. plenty of pots, pans, and cookwear). The condo complex was right on the beach and very kid-friendly (a heated pool with a nice shallow end and plenty of kids to play with). Communication with Les was great (e.g. we needed a crib brought to the condo and he helped us procure one). Only negative is that this condo complex is in the flight path for the airport, so if you're very sensitive to that kind of noise you may not like this complex. I would 100% stay here again.

Great property great location. Would have been very relaxing but sadly we were not told they would be banging away all day re tiling the deck above us. Such a shame. We came along way nz for this relaxing time in the sun

Nice stay at El Zalate.
El Zalate is a great location - on the beach and accessible to many restaurants with a short uber or taxi trip. We stayed in Villa 4 which faces the ocean and beach. The property is immaculate and the beach is private and quiet - away from the noisy Medano and Cabo san Lucas beaches.
There was an issue with the booking but Les was able to help and get us a different 2 bedroom in the same villa on a different floor.
Les was very courteous and took care of everything even reaching out the management office and taking care of the rebooking.
Thanks to Les for ensuring we had a good stay and enjoyed a great time in Cabo.

For our first stay in Baja I chose this El Zalate condo for the views and the furnished balcony. The condo was beautiful and we lived on the balcony with its two living spaces and the dining set. The complex is small and for Holy Week nearly deserted. Well equipped kitchen and vigilant security. Will definitely stay again!
