Huge Lake House with a pool on the Chain of Lakes - near Legoland!
The Lake House à 1443- À plus de 6000 pieds carrés, cette maison de deux étages 5 1/2 chambres, 5 salles de bain est un excellent moyen d'échapper à la chaleur et la solitude de la Floride centrale. La grande salle donne sur la piscine et le magnifique lac Roy. Ici, vous apprécierez peut-être le piano à queue pour bébé qui remplit la maison de son. Nous offrons le système de sécurité et Wifi haut débit pour votre sécurité et votre confort.
Au bout du couloir menant à la Master Suite, vous profiterez d’un grand hammam personnalisé avec deux douches de la forêt tropicale, des lavabos assortis, un placard, une terrasse privée donnant sur le lac et un accès privé à la piscine. Dans le même couloir, les deux autres chambres partagent une salle de bains, l'une à travers le dressing, l'autre au bout du couloir.
L’étage fait également partie de la grande salle, car elle est vue de dessus depuis deux vastes mezzanines reliées par une passerelle au-dessus de la salle à manger. Les deux offrent une vue imprenable sur le lac, la piscine et la cour avant. Le premier loft comprend un bar avec évier, un centre de divertissement, une piste d’exercice / de danse et un accès à la véranda située au dernier étage. Traversez le pont couvert et dirigez-vous vers un deuxième loft offrant une escapade isolée pour la lecture, le travail de bureau et un grand canapé comme lieu de repos.
Également au sommet des escaliers se trouvent deux grandes suites, l'une avec vue sur le lac et accès en plein air à la véranda supérieure, l'autre plus grande, avec vue sur la cour avant et sur la route.

This house was perfect for our trip to Legoland! We had 6 adults and 3 children in our group. However, each family had their own space… and bathroom! The house was clean and the distance to Legoland was perfect. The house was also near lots of places to eat and shop. Best of all, it was such a treat to get back from a hot day at the theme park and jump in the pool. The view of the lake was also quite beautiful. The owners were flexible, kind, and very responsive. I would definitely book this property again!

This house was the perfect fit for our three families each with 3 to 4 children. The pool was nice for kids and adults. We had fun on the lake kayaking and fishing. The house had extra towels and plenty of extra blankets. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed including seasoning. If we are in the area in the future, we will be booking this house again.

Cannot begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at The Lake House!
We have used vacation rentals over many years, none have had the extras The Lake House provided—-from the well stocked kitchen (enough dinnerware and utensils) to the swimming pool with pool toys. The pool table and darts were also a big hit!
Everything was superbly clean and well maintained, plus cleaning supplies for our use.
We were a multigenerational family who always found something to do and the space in which to do it.
I would definitely use The Lake House again!

We have enjoyed our stay at this house every year for the past 8 years. The house accommodates so many with its spacious floor plan. The new covered lania section is perfect for the afternoon and protection from the sun. We enjoy the convience of local bars close by on other lakes as well as Legoland. This house is perfect for our family.

Our family, as a group, have not been on vacation since pre pandemic, so we had so many hopes and dreams for our trip together. We could not have picked a better property to make this happen.
This property was exceptionally well located to all the experiences we wanted to have: Disney, Sea World, Legoland, Airboat Adventures, Museums, and all situated on a beautiful lake in a cute and quiet neighborhood.
The home was spotless and well equipped in all the ways we needed it to be! We cooked most of our meals in a well equipped kitchen. We were never short on towel and bedding.
Doug and Jenny were always quick to respond to any questions and made it their priority to ensure we had everything we needed, and quite frankly wanted!
Hands down, best all around rental property we’ve ever vacationed in!

My father passed and I was looking for a home large enough for my wife and I, our adult children/spouse and their new baby. This home was perfect. Everyone had their space yet we were all together. The home is very clean and spacious. The pool is wonderful and the lakefront is beautiful. We spent evenings in the game room, playing pool and sharing stories. The home layout allowed privacy when needed and a grand common area we all enjoyed. The owners were gracious and responded quickly to any questions I had. I highly recommend this property.

We love the lakehouse!
We always have a great time enjoying the spacious lakehouse. There is plenty of room in the house and back yard for friends and family to enjoy their stay and play games. The lake accommodates all our water sports fun and the quick access to Legoland also makes a fun trip to watch the ski show.

Celebration of Life
We were having a memorial service for my mom at I church in Winter Haven. I wanted a house big enough where our children, their spouses, my husband and I could all stay together. It was perfect! I had a small luncheon reception after the service, we swam, fished, and kayaked in the lake. I couldn’t have found a better house for our needs.

We were at the property for a graduation for our daughter from Florida Southern. We had both friends and family stay with us over the course of our stay which was 6 days.
We had catering brought to the house for a celebration on Friday night. The spaciousness of the house allowed this to be a comfortable event for some of my daughter’s classmates and parents who stopped by over several hours.
We also had a family only catered event on Saturday night, which also worked out well.
The spread out bedrooms and bathrooms allowed all the guests to feel unrestricted during overlapping stays over the course of the six days.
We also had an unexpected delay in our flights and train trips on Tuesday and the owners accommodated a late checkout which was appreciated.
This house really met our needs for the demands and duration of our stay.
We did experience a few challenges during the stay. The “directions” for the house in the binder really need to be updated. There are some amenities that the house no longer has and this binder should be updated. There is also insufficient refrigeration space for a house of this size. It is a +/~ 22 cu ft refrigerator which is stretched to its limits with any kind of non standard meals. I would suggest placement of an additional refrigerator in the expansive garage.
There is also a wine refrigerator in the upstairs lounge area that doesn’t work. It needs to be replaced. The couches downstairs as well as some of the bedroom chairs are in real need of attention to the seat cushion supports. They are well worn.
These are minor issues however and overall this is a great property for large groups. It is convenient to grocery and other necessary shopping stores. If you are in the WinterHaven area and need this size property it’s absolutely worth a stay

There are lots of sitting/lounging areas throughout the house making it easy to gather or find some personal space. The fence is only around the pool area which is all bricked. The backyard is open to neighbors on both side & to the lake. If you have dogs you can let them out from the house, IF you want them to go potty & have a grassed area you will have to leash them up outside the fenced pool area.
There are a few card games, backgammon, trivia, jenga (missing pieces), couple of puzzles. If you like playing games, brining your own. There are hundreds of books! TVs in most of the rooms, but they are all small. The living room TV is even pretty small for the space. Larger TVs in the living room & the pool table room would be nice. There are a couple of DVD players with a few DVDs. We brought our own Roku/Firestick. The wifi was great & we could stream in several rooms with no issues.
The pool is nice, large, & as listed very deep. There are steps to get in/out of so no issue. The pool area is not screened in so the pool does require daily cleaning to get leaves/bugs out. It’s easy & doesn’t take long. The bottom of the pool (maybe because it’s so deep) does get dirty. But it’s not bothersome because it’s so deep it’s not like you are walking around on it. After the pool cleaner came it was better for a few days.
The house & yard could definitely use some maintenance/updating. Many bricks on the patio are loose & all around the pool so it’s very easy to trip & fall or lose your balance. Landscaping is required in the front, the back, & in the lake. The lake access is not swimmer friendly, our dogs would not even get in the water. It’s probably only good for launch kayaks or boat.
It’s time to replace the grill, hard to light, grills are very used, & the heat is uneven. We did appreciate that the propane was included. The pots & pans need to be replaced in the kitchen. The dishwasher doesn’t work very well. There’s a security panel in the master that needs to be removed, its super bright & no way to turn off. Sectional in the living room needs to be replaced, it doesn’t connect together & slides all over the place. Several of the doors are hard to open.
The owners are very responsive and easy to work with. As long as you have the proper expectation, it’s still worth booking.

A few things to note - The pool has a broken skimmer and is not well maintained. Upon arrival it had not been cleaned (the bottom was covered in leaves and dirt) and we were told that cleaning it was our responsibility because the pool service only comes once a week. As I was told multiple times by the owner, “it’s not a hotel so you’re gonna have to do that yourself”. I expect to maintain cleanliness while we are staying but do not think we should have been responsible to clean it after someone else was there. We opted to not use the pool because of this. Also note that a lot of the bricks around the pool /deck are loose, so be careful!
The room listed as a “theatre room” is truly just a living area with a fairly small TV. All streaming options are available and WiFi is good.
