The studio is sparkling clean and has all the comforts of home. It's even better than the pictures! It's within walking distance to downtown. The owners are friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable, about great things to do in the area. The roof top terrace is a nice place to hang out for sun during the day and peaceful in the evenings. They also have quads to rent on the property and very helpful, checking to assure your stay is going well.

We stayed here for 6 days and couldn't have been happier. The place is spacious with a large bed, a sofa, and a full kitchen and bath. It was perfect for the 2 of us. It sits about a block from all the restaurants and a small grocery store so you are right near everything you need, but it's nice and quiet nestled in the little neighborhood. Doug and Teresa are wonderful, super friendly hosts. We took advantage of their airport service which is great. We will def be staying with them again. Loved the pups too. Thanks for the hospitality!

This was my first time in los barriles baja. I had a great time staying at casa dulce vida rental. Doug & terri foster are friendly people. Los barriles is a pretty awesome small quiet, relaxed fishing and kite surfing town. Casa dulce vida was a really quiet rental safe & secure. doug and terri are pet lover's they have 2 small friendly dog's and a cool little parrot. The studio is very spacious with air conditioning to keep cool and a comfortable bed to sleep well. Also It has a full kitchen. The location is really good walking distance to town and the beach. They even have quads to rent. You'll get a better deal if you rent from them. Unless you rent a car. I definitely will stay at casa dulce vida again.

The hosts are friendly and accommodating and the property is centrally located making for short walks to restaurants, beach and shopping.

The place was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Good location within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. Saw breaching whales, many jumping rays and sign of fish from the beach. Definitely would come here again.

We feel so Lucky to have chosen Casa Dulce Vida for our vacation! Doug and Terry are wonderful hosts and our Casa was perfect! We rented a quad from Doug for the week and explored the East Cape everyday! We look forward to our next visit and our "Dream" to someday live close by. Very nice accomodations. The reason for my trip was to scout out a place to retire and do some fishing. Unfortunately the North wind kicked in the day after I arrived and I was unable to do any fishing for 7 days. Doug and Terri had a Quad that I rented for a week. Very reasonable price. Can't beat the price anywhere in town. Trust me I checked. So with the wind blowing I did a lot of exploring on the Quad. There are a lot of good restuarants in town and Cindy at East Cape Tackle helped set up my fishing trips when the wind finally receded. Ended up catching Dorado, Jack Crevalle, Triggerfish, Ladyfish, Snapper and Grouper. Doug introduced me to the locals who might have some long term rentals to view for my retirement plans. In the end I located a RV lot at Costa Brava that met my retirement needs thanks in part to Doug and Terri. I have now wired the money to secure the lot and purchase the 5th wheel. I will be retiring sooner rather than later to this beautiful little village on the Sea of Cortez. Thanks to my new friends Doug, Terri, Friday and Freddy. Oops also Booger!! If I hadn't purchased my own place while on vacation, I would definitely rent Doug and Terri's studio apartment. It has everything you need for a very relaxing time. Bill

We stayed for 8 nights, it is a nice large studio. Very clean and had everything we needed. Doug and Terri are wonderful hosts, making sure we had everything we needed. We also rented their 4wheeler for the week so we were able to explore the area, though as stated in their post you can walk all over town and to the beach from the property. We will definitely stay there next time we travel to Los Barilles.

This was our third vacation to LB but our first stay at Casa Dulce Vida. I'm happy to say it won't be our last, what a great vacation rental. Truly a gem. The hosts, Doug and Terri (and Fred and Friday) - are amazing. The apartment is FULLY appointed, comfy bed, comfy surroundings, great kitchen, close to everything, we wanted for nothing (except to prolong our vacation). We scoped this rental out last year after a bad experience at another location, so grateful we found it. We spent a month here and just kicked back, this will be our go to home away from home, super people, super place, can't recommend this property enough.

we stayed for 3 weeks, walked all over town numerous times, easy access to every restaurant, beautiful beach, great for swimming. We walked as far as Buena Vista on the beach, picked shells, watched the kite-surfers, local fishermen catching from the shore. We did rent a quad from Doug for couple of days, nothing but fun to drive and so easy to get around. The condo is great, lots of room & well stocked. Doug & Terri, terrific people, as were everyone we met in LB. Would recommend staying here without hesitation....Graham & Maria.

Casa Dulce Vida is my paradise. This is our third visit and will continue to go every year if not sooner. Our vacation started off great by being picked up at the airport by Doug. He was very personable and easy to talk to. Casa Dulce vida is clean comfortable and beautiful. Kitchen was very clean and equipped with everything we need. Doug and Terri were available when we needed anything. They offered quad rentals which was perfect for cruising around town and exploring the beautiful LB. The sea of Cortez is only a few blocks away. I love the calmness that it brings. I was able to swim only a few feet from dolphins. LB is a friendly happy town. I love love love Casa Dulce Vida and I am so happy that I found this gem. Thanks Doug and Terri for an awesome LB home away from home!

Doug and Terri and their 2 dogs Fred and Friday were great hosts. They are friendly and cordial and shared places to visit, eat and shop. We rented their ATV for the week which was a great idea as we were able to easily go to town to shop and visit places along the beaches that would not be accessible by car. We would definitely recommend their fully equipped studio to friends and family and would not hesitate to stay their again.Thank you for making our first visit to Los Barriles a memorable and relaxing vacation

The owners Doug and Terry are really nice folks who made us feel welcome for our three-week vacation. We felt right at home walking into this clean and cute studio. It had everything we needed towels, linens, gas stove, good pots & pans (easy to clean too) full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, blender, plates, utensils, and more. Terry will wash towels and sheets as needed. There are local laundry mats or services that will wash your clothes for a few pesos. We were also welcomed to help ourselves to their vegetable garden. It is a short walk to the beach, stores and restaurants. Wifi was strong and having large TV with lots of channels/movies options was great. There is so much to do in this little fishing town, as well as exploring the surrounding areas. We also enjoyed Friday and Fred (the guard dogs). Great place to vacation and would definitely stay here again!

I hit the jackpot when I booked this stay. I am very grateful that we had Doug & Terry to inform us about where to eat and what to do in LB. This is a very special town and learning the ropes from such experienced locals was invaluable. We are impressed with the house, the room is huge, the kitchen has everything, and it is clean clean clean. I felt very comfortable in the king size bed (hard to find in Mexico) and the ambience is perfect. I liked having the AC option though there was plenty of cross breeze & I always prefer to save energy. My only regret is not renting a quad from Doug and adventuring a little more. We will HAVE to do that next time!

The only thing more charming than the accommodations were our hosts. Doug and Terry made us feel welcome and comfortable immediately and made our stay even more memorable. The room is comfortable and well equipped with everything needed for a home away from home feeling. It is centrally located and within walking distance of everything you might want to do while in this wonderful town. Slow down awhile in this wonderful , friendly Baja treasure.

We had a great time at Doug and Terri's place in Los Barriles. We spent 2 glorious weeks there. The weather was perfect and my husband got to kite 11 days straight which is unheard of. Doug and Terri's place was awesome. Clean, great location and had all the amenities that spoiled Americans want. It's difficult to find a king size bed in Los Barriles but Doug and Terri's place has one. Especially important when you are 7 months pregnant. Very comfortable not to soft but just firm enough. And great sheets which is a plus. Also and the biggest perk for us is the water. You can drink it right out of the faucet. You don't have to worry at all. Again I'm pregnant and have to worry about everything and drank it the whole time. Also HOT showers. We always had hot water after a long day at the beach. And GREAT internet. It can be spotty at a lot of places in Los Barriles but not here. My husband had to work remotely so a must have when gone for 2 weeks. We NEVER had slow or spotty Internet. The location was great. My husband and I opted to not get a car this trip hence why we wanted to stay downtown. Usually we would just rent a 4 wheeler quad to get around but with me being pregnant we decided it was not safe enough so we just walked everywhere. Doug and Terri's place is very convenient to the beach, the grocery stores and to all of Los Barriles's great restaurants. Also Doug picked us up from the airport and brought us back so why did we need a car? If we had decided to rent a quad for the day Doug and Terri have one available for daily and weekly rental. Again all the amenities you need right there. The only 2 things that would have made it the most perfect place ever was if there had been outside storage for my husband to store and lock up his wet, sandy kiting gear and a blender. When you are a kiter this perk is key. And I like to drink smoothies and what if you wanted a Pina Colada or Margarita😜. Last but not least they have the two cutest dogs Fred and Friday. We enjoyed having them around. They are super cute and friendly. We will hopefully be back next year. And we would love to stay at Doug and Terri's Place. Plenty of room for a baby also.

Owners are so helpful and nice personalities, appartment really large, clean and close to the beach, restaurants, supermarkets etc.

D and T offer a very nice studio that is well maintained and stocked with all the amenities we needed. One of the features we enjoyed most was the kitchen, which is complete with everything you need to cook your own meals if you choose to. There is an easy to use stove top, oven, fridge and microwave and included dishes, tupperware and there's even access to the outdoor BBQ/Grill (gas). The property is very well maintained and neat. The location is just up the hill from the relatively new "Chapito Express" store and so the house was centrally located for all the places in town. Laundry service for sheets and towels is provided by D and T and usually fairly quick as well. If you want to do personal laundry there are a couple of laundry mats in town, and there is also one just up the hill, about a 5 minute walk from the casita. It was also about a 5 minute walk down to the new coffee shop Cafe Encinalito, and about the same walking time if you wanted to get straight to the beach. D and T were respectful of the studio's privacy and entrance and at the same time friendly and welcoming if we wanted to hang out with them on the large patio in the front of the house. From the patio you can see the ocean and white caps if any and if there are any kites up. And from the roof access you can see up to the area of the Exotikite launch to see any kites flying near the arroyo on the north side of Los Barriles (San Bartolo). During our stay here we met some fellow kiters who both expressed interest in renting the place when we left. We would recommend this place to anyone interested in discovering the amazing and friendly community of Los Barriles. D and T also offer an ATV quad for rent which is cheaper than those in town. We (2 people) did get a chance to take the quad out for the day and took the coast road up to Punta Pescadero (~40 min. one-way) which was quite stunning (thanks to D and T for giving us directions!). Having the quad to get around town is much quicker, but everything is also within walking distance. D and T also know the town very well which was great. They can help you answer any questions you may have about your stay.

Had a most wonderful time here for the month! Sad to leave. Thank you Doug, Terri, Fred and Friday for the wonderful memories. We very much enjoyed your apartment. It had everything we could ask for. Very comfy king bed. Big screen TV with satellite to watch movies!! Wonderful kitchen, stove, microwave and large fridge. The use of your BBQ was a good bonus. Walking distance to the beach and the local restaurants. Grocery store and vegetable market close by that met our needs. Cabo and La Paz close enough drive if you need the big city. We loved Los Barrilas and will definitely come back. We feel like part of the community. We had a 4x4 so was wonderful to drive through the arroyo and on the beach for that perfect spot! We are not kite surfers but enjoy watching them. Next time we will go quading with you up to the falls and hot springs. Again thank you so much for sharing your home with us! Hope Friday and Fred enjoyed the treats! KayLee (our dog) was also very comfortable here! :)

I enjoyed every day here! T&D are very friendly owners, and their place is well appointed, with clean and comfortable accommodations. My dog Gracie enjoyed a wonderful fenced yard with 2 adorable resident doggies. Staying here has been the best of my experiences so far here in Baja.

My dad stayed for a month, he really enjoyed it, the accomodation was perfect for him. He said it was clean and tidy and modern with a great big tv which made him happy. Really nice place to stay in Los Barriles.

Los Barriles was a great little town to visit. Husband and I had an excellent time! Rental had everything you could possibly need including great rental hosts. Rental is located just a couple of blocks from down town, walking distance to just about everything. Enjoyed the restaurants, shopping and the closeness of the beach. Also loved that we could just stop by the store, buy everything to cook dinner and have a meal our meal on the patio. We rented quads in town and got to explore the area as well, lots to see and do there. Thank you again to the owner's for their great hospitality. This will be a regular vacation stop for us!
