Breakfast was fairly good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is great.

Room 318 needs more ventilation, it gets quite smelly at times. The entire building needs an airflow assessment, some dorm rooms and shower rooms need louvers in the doors for increased air movement. The lighting is very harsh when it is on (great for cleaning etc.), but a low light night setting would be nice.

The beds were very comfortable and allowed for a lot of privacy (curtains for each bed)

The breakfast food could have been a bit better but it was correct.

Spotless with lots of local information going beyond the “tourist spots” available.

1) I wish the top bunk had a “roof” or something so the light in the general room didn’t wake me up. 2) I wish the bunk curtains were a little taller for the same reason 3) if the key could be any other color to make it easier to see among the sheets/towels etc. would make life much easier in the dark.

Breakfast was poor but that's not the main thing My room overlooked the Сanal street with poor sound insulation. The night from Saturday to Sunday was crazy. All night idiots in cars and motorcycles used the full power of sound systems and the roar of engines drove up and down Canal Street. I could not sleep. I see two reasons: on the one hand there is a dramatic degradation of youth, on the other hand there is a demonstrative ignorance of this problem by the city authorities. Reminder, sleep deprivation is torture as defined by the Human Rights Code.

Hostel okay, the problem is the idlers who violate people's rights on the city streets

Very good location, clean rooms and bathrooms with good isolated and equipped beds in dorms. Friendly and helpful staff. Fulfilling breakfast, perfect !

Great location at just 9 min walk from the french quarter and close to bus and streetcar stops. Nice staff, clean room and common areas. The room was bigger than I expected, the breakfast was nice to have and better than I expected given that some reviews complained about it. Yes, there were limited choices, but it is a hostel and I found the offer to be proportional to the structure.

My room was on canal street and the window had poor noise isolation so it was very noisy at night with police cars or ambulances passing by. The system to wash the dishes is a bit odd, considering that a single person is not going to fill the whole sink as in the explanations.

Everything is amazing! Bed are confortable, people are super friendly, really clean place, really good place and situation! Good breakfast! I recommand!!!!100%

Everything was perfect and it was the best HI Hostel I have ever stayed, and I have experienced many of them in Europe. First of all, the rooms and especially the bathrooms were extremely clean. The bathrooms are not like common bathrooms in the hostel but more like a private bathroom at home, including soap, body motion, and free towels. Beds were exactly how they should look in the best hostels: new comfy mattresses, more than 2 meters long, with an extra long quilt with two pillows. The bed included a shelf for personal belongings including the USB charger. Another benefit is one card that opens every door in the Hostel and it also your box in the room is locked by this card. The breakfast is served for free and includes a variety of breads and bagels, cereals, fresh cheese, eggs, yoghurt, juice and bananas. The price is really low for this comfort and location.

Clean, friendly staff, sleeping bunks are great I was never disturbed by my bunk mate bc he was moving around in/out of bunk. Lockers next to bed with outlets in them for your devices and they lock/,unlock with your key and.

Breakfast was good. Location optimal! I loved the great room with comfy chairs and loaner books.

more hooks and towel bars in guest rooms, a place to set a toiletries bag in the bathrooms. Could use a couple toilet-only washroom on each floor: prime time was dicey with people showering and primping.
