Great location and easy to walk to the shops in Lahaina. Didn't realize that the property was ran by a company until after we booked on VRBO so it made paying and communicating a little more complicated than usual but still pretty simple. Did not like that you had to check in with security within 24 hours to avoid a fine as we arrived after hours and were out doing things all day the next day so it was very inconvenient to have to try and fit in the check in. Other then that, no real complaints on the actual condo.

The property was very clean and organized. Very beautiful area and everyone around was friendly. Any questions we had regarding the property was answered very promptly. We all had an amazing stay!

Outdated furniture but overall great location

We received all the codes ahead of time and had no trouble getting in. The home is in gated area that has security checking the grounds regularly, not that there were any concerns. They were also very friendly. The home at a carport that protected our car from the sun and was right in front of the home. We arrived after 6 so we had to check in and register the next day. The codes to the access key worked just fine and we found the place was very clean and as pictured. Everything worked just fine. I appreciated the fact that this owner leaves spices and various food items in the cabinet so you don’t have to buy every single thing. We also left some items for the next renter. Such as coffee and sugar. I noticed that they had a Keurig coffee maker, not my favorite and was looking for the drip maker that was in the picture and that I had brought some supplies for. Since it wasn’t there I sent a message to the owner asking if there was one somewhere on the property. To my surprise, while we were at dinner the owner called us and by the time we got back, he had purchased a new one and left it on the counter. I can’t tell you how much that was appreciated. Thank you so much. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. We often went to the lobby area where we would get a game and sit in the gazebo and play and watch the surfers. We also made it a point to be there around sunset and watch it from the beautiful property. We could not have asked for more The property is just outside Lahaina so it would be an easy bike ride or maybe a 10 minute walk. Prison Pizza is just down the road. It was very good and easy to take to the gazebo for a sunset dinner. Our favorite restaurant was the Plantation House, a bit expensive but the food was great as was the view. Overall out 9 day vacation as phenomenal and would go back in heartbeat. Thank you again Dave for a wonderful vacation.

Overall we loved our time in your vacation home. It was comfortable for our group of 5. Always nice to have a bathroom for each bedroom! Location to beach is close and convenient. Pool over the ocean was amazing. Was so nice to sit and see and hear the ocean. The community was safe and easily accessible to Lahaina. Although the living room furniture needs some updating, it is a vacation home and useable. Did see a few cockroaches. Thanks for sharing your amazing home.

Nice gated community, very peaceful and safe for kids, the 3 bedrooms unit was perfect for us.

The location is great--just a short stroll to a nice, private beach access point and an easy ride by bike (or electric scooter) to the town of Lahaina. At the time of our stay (early April), the local area from Puamana to Lahaina was nicely protected from high winds, and the back patio was pleasantly shaded from afternoon sun. The home was spacious and offered all the modern conveniences of home for our family of four--which includes 2 teens, who very much appreciated having their own rooms and bathrooms while on vacation. A couple of very minor glitches were remedied quickly by the management team.

We appreciated the complimentary dish detergent and laundry detergent. The location was excellent with access to a nice quiet beach. Front Street was also only about a 15 minute walk. Our biggest gripes were the humidity in the unit - the sofa/chairs were damp the whole week. This also led to mildewy smell in the unit. Lastly, we did see a few roaches and some tiny ants. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

Maids should have noticed this since stain was in the middke. Kitchen cabinets and drawers had crumbs and dirt in them. Not pleasant having to clean on vacation. Kitchen sink rug was very dirty and needs to be replaced with a clean one. There was no pillows or blankets for the pull out sofa and only 3 beach towels for 7 of us. Management was contacted and said these issuesxwould be resolved.
This could be a beautiful home after a good cleaning and organization of closets. The location is beautiful and very convenient to ocean and town.

Good
This was our first time not staying in an oceanfront unit. Beyond an ocean view, this unit has a great location super close to the main beach/surf spot. It’s also not too far from the ocean pool. It’s a corner unit on a large greenbelt and there’s a nice view of trees and grass from the living room. It’s sufficiently upgraded throughout and has a very spacious floor plan (1 bedroom down, 2 up, 3 full bathrooms). The downstairs has a very open feel and the two upstairs bedrooms are large and inviting. The private back lanai is nice too. The home was clean and had plenty of the basics - beach towels, umbrellas, boogie boards, masks/snorkels, kitchen/bath supplies.

Needs improvement
Like many vacation rentals, there’s too much stuff in the home (nick nacks, wall art, fake flowers, etc. are everywhere). Eliminating some of it would make it feel more open and not as cluttered. The lanai has too much furniture. Although totally clean enough, I’d recommend a deep clean (tad grimy here and there). It also seemed odd that there were no screens downstairs along the back lanai wall (2 big windows and a sliding glass door). If there had been I would have kept them open and the A/C off more. I’m being a little picky - we loved the unit.

Puamana is incredible. There’s enough surf to have fun, it’s close enough to walk to town but it feels a world away, it's a low density and large oceanfront community, and the residents are nice if you abide by Puamana's rules. Don’t come here if you want a resort experience (or go hang out in Ka’anapali for a day and then be stoked to come back "home"). We love it and keep coming back again and again.

It was clean, spacious and we enjoyed the beautiful patio that looked out onto a lovely lawn area. We had an issue in the beginning of our trip with the refrigerator but the owners made sure everything was taken care of quickly and efficiently. We hope to come back to Hawaii soon and would love to stay here again!!!

We had one issue. There was a left over Pizza Hut pizza box with a few slices of pizza in the oven from the prior guests. We were heating the oven up and I smelled smoke. We pulled the pizza box out just before it would have started on fire. After this occurred I tried to find a fire extinguisher and the only one I found was outside on the front of the building.
