Came up with friends for my birthday weekend. Great space, very clean.

It was a great time

Great location and roomy cottage! The place was clean. The amenities were nice. Our only complaint was having only one roll of toilet paper when two were advertised. We had to make a run to Dollar General. We had six guests and only five bath towels which wasn’t a big deal as not everyone chose to use the shower. At other homes we’ve rented they have provided a small stash of cards and games which was a nice surprise. You could consider this as a bonus for your guests - just a thought.

Third year in a row staying at Barefoot Bungalow. Everything is super easy with Ron and Megan. We know exactly what is to be expected. Very close to the strip and just a short walk to the private beach area. Updates to the house make it so much more comfy. Our 2 families always have a great time hanging and relaxing at the Barefoot Bungalow. Next year, we are just hoping for warmer weather.

We enjoyed the cottage and the property. It was just as described and well taken care of.

The “beach access” situation was a little weird. It’s definitely not like a beach, it’s all rocks with a small area of sand. I thought it would be something we could bring a chair down and hangout. Also the beach was basically on the big house property so that was a little strange. The post says Wi-Fi and cable. After already booking you then learn the Wi-Fi sucks. The cable didn’t work at all so on a rainy day there wasn’t much to do. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the camera at the front door, also looked like some camera thing in the living room, made us uncomfortable. Upon arrival we couldn’t get into the cottage because there were bees and wasp everywhere. I called and basically was told not their problem. It was convenient property but I would definitely keep on looking for something better.

The property was in a nice location close to things. A clear path down to the water would be helpful for people with knee and back issues. Steep hill is difficult. However the water space is beautiful. We had issues with no blind on the living room front window. It is a large window and the neighbors across the road and anyone coming down the road could see right in. As a group of women this was very uncomfortable. The worse thing is the camera inside the cottage in the living room. We were totally uncomfortable with that and would be the main reason we would not come back. In previous reviews you were told about the blind and said you would take care of that. We based out decision to stay on the fact that you handled it. We have to say all the people were very nice at the restaurants and stores.

Very clean and adorable cottage. Location is perfect if you want the lake vibe, close to the strip and quaint feel. Only downside was one room had one window without blinds or curtain. Megan communicated often prior to stay so overall was a fabulous stay!

I liked the property. Wish it was closer to the strip. And the private beach was not what I expected. It was not set up for swimming with all of the big rocks and no sand at all. We had to go elsewhere to swim.

This is our third vacation at geneva on the lake. We have at stayed at 3 different cottages from this owner. We enjoy the beach access and fire pit. The location is just outside of strip which gives quick access but a quieter stay. This cottage was quaint but perfect for our group of 5 ladies. Owner has great communication and access to property is very easy. Would recommend and we will be back again next summer. Thank you!

Everyone stated their beds were not comfortable

Our group of 6 greatly enjoyed our girls' weekend. The cottage was very clean, neat and orderly. It would be a great place to spend more than a weekend because of the proximity to the GOTL strip, shopping, the beach, etc. It was close enough to the strip, but secluded enough to offer peace and quiet . Megan was an exceptional host, who went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay. The cottage was also in close proximity to a private beach that was a few steps away. We will most definitely be back next year. Thanks again for a great experience.

We had a great stay.. The home was very clean and had everything we needed! It's near the park and is only a short walk away from the strip. My only complaint would be that the one bedroom has a window without a blind/curtain so when the sun comes up your up too. There is no sleeping late in that room.

Very nice cozy little cottage with a beautiful view of the lake. The place was cleaner than an operating room! We had a lovely stay and Megan was great to deal with. Two thumbs up for the Barefoot Bungalow!!!

loved the location to all of the fun events as it was a short drive away. The house had sufficient space for five adults. The lake was absolutely beautiful.

Love the property it was a cute cottage style cabin right on the water with a beautiful view of Lake Erie . Plenty of space for all 5 of us . Will definitely return again! Owners were great communicators!

Our stay was great! Perfect location for a girls weekend. The cottage was a little small but served it’s purpose. Great location too in relation to things to do, places to see, and food. Would recommend and would go back!

My family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at the Barefoot Bungelow! We had plenty of room inside. It was great to have a little beach access right there.

Everything was fine except for privacy. The bedrooms needed drapes or blinds that would close for privacy.

Was a very clean. Had everything we needed for our stay other then our food..

The house is steps away from a gorgeous though small little beach - my family literally couldn’t get enough of the view and the beach. The house is normal, clean, super easy check in process, and super close to the center (though tucked away) - if you happen to like that type of atmosphere.

Your property was perfect for the much needed two day break. Bedroom layout was ideal for 2 single adults and mother with 2 children. The beach though small was ideal as both little ones could play without fear of deep water.

Perfect getaway location for family and friends. The view was serene. The lake was just a minute away with an easy walk. Ample room for outdoor activities with the kids. Cottages were not sitting on top of each other, so you were able to have privacy during campfires. You are far enough away from the hubbub of the strip, but can enjoy it within a couple of minutes. We did not have to use Megan during our stay, but we knew if anything came up, the problem would be solved immediately based on previous reviews and her correspondence. Thanks for a great long weekend.

After this past year, Our family was ready for a getaway! This rustic little bungalow was the perfect place. Quiet and right off the beaten path, bot close to so much. We loved the private beach area for swimming and watching the sunset. Nice private patio area, grill and fire pit for evening s’mores. Beds were comfy and our girls loved the fluffy blankets ( they wrapped themselves up in the blankets while hanging out on the couch in the evening) We had a week of adventure and day trips, from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, to Covered Bridge Tour to local wineries....this humble abode was centrally located to so much. Management was quick to respond and easily accessible via email. We had a wonderful time!!!

clean, convenient distance to strip (about 10-15 minute walk) but far enough away to have privacy/quiet for sleep, communication from owner was quick. the only minor issue was outside with bees and ants but it's spring/summer so it was expected - would definitely book again!

It was smaller than the pictures made it look, but it served the purpose. The furniture is comfortable and the house it clean. It was very close to the main drag and had a decent view of the lake. It needs some general repair like bedroom blind, light over sink and the refrigerator leaks a little water.
